Eriksson On Madrid Shortlist

Quote:
Real Madrid president Fernando Martin has said England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is one of seven candidates for the manager's job at the Bernabeu.

In an interview with Spanish TV station Antena 3, Martin discussed Chelsea's Jose Mourinho, Liverpool's Rafael Benitez and Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.

Italians Carlo Ancelotti, Fabio Capello and Marcello Lippi complete the list.

"It is going to come from one of seven coaches," said Martin. "We are clear about what type of coach we want."

Seriously, why is Sven so highly thought of around the world?

To me i think he is majorly over rated as a manager. His tactics are suspect and he has too many favourites that he refuses to remove from the side regardless of their poor form.

At England his record is good to be fair but he has hardly had it tough in terms of qualifying groups.

In the big tournaments he has failed to make it through the Quarter Final stages and i think he is very lucky at the options he has at his disposal otherwise he would've been caught out by now.

I could be wrong also but wasn't he part of the reason for Lazio i think it was going near bankrupt?

Do you rate Sven?

First of all this is pure bullshit,noncence.........this 7 guys are so different that u could write a good, long book about those differences......

Second........Lippi,Eriksson,Ancelotti could be more disaster for already shaken Real Madrid squad....these guys are done, just dead in tearms of modern football and tactics and without guts to change anything, this guys always play the same thing, even Tom Jones changed style through years but these guys stands still........

Third and final.......The coach for Real Madrid could be only some adventorous guy that can teach players to love each other, that could take them at some spa in Austria and drill them for 30 days before the season,to tell president of Real M. to f... off and forget that easy-does-it Asia and America tours.....

Maybe this is the ugliest place to be the coach..........believe me.........
