Re: A return to Spread Betting

The sell of the total goals should have been 30 points not three

I did think you were being a bit conservative there. Good luck.

Good stuff Colbro, make that roughly a 200pt profit on the night - was looking a bit dodgy with regards to booking at HT, but came through.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

Cheers Dave - 195 points profit after 5% Commision so bank now at 170 points.

Spurs Boro was a bit lucky as you say - 82 mins before the first booking the 5 mins later a mass brawl took me from 22.8 points loss to 27.2 points profit
150 of the 195 profits came there.

Anyway today and three more.
Sell total goals Newcastle v Reading for 30 points @2.30 spreadfair
Sell total goals West Ham v Wigan for 30 points @ 2.32 spreadfair
Buy Bookings West Ham v Wigan for 3 points @ 37.8 spreadfair.

Newcastles games are the worst for goals in the premiership and I think West Ham have the second lowest home goals in the premiership. The premiership is only averaging around 2.16 per game so far and none of these four teams are very prolific.
The referee for West Ham game is Alan Wiley who averages 3 cards per game.
West Ham avarage 2.4 at home and Wigan 2.7 away. The last time Wiley was in charge of Wigan he booked five of their players. I am hoping he keeps up his average at least to make 30 points the downside with the obvious upside should the game get physical.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

New Zealand all out for 206 so 159 points profit bank now 258 points.

Sell Bookings at 51 for 3 points at spreadex for Manchester derby. Even though it is Graham Poll in charge today these still seems high. ManU don't get many bookings at home and if they can get an early lead and dampen the atmosphere hopefully there could be a good upside.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

Couple more for this afternoon

Sell bookings Watford v Reading @31 for 3 points IGSport. Chris Foy has one the lowest card averages of premiership refs and these are two of the cleanest teams.
Sell Total Goals in the six 3pm premiership games @14.3 for 30 points IG. Premiership average for the season is around 2.2 so this is just about value. Main worry is the Liverpool Fulham game.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

Bookings ManU v ManC made up @65 so 14 point loss
Bookings Watford v Reading made up 10 so 21 points profit (I think)
Total goals 18 so 37 point loss.

Two more for tonight
Sell Bookings Bolton v West Ham @ 44.2 3 points
Sell Total Goals Bolton v West Ham 2.28 30 points both at Spreadfair.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

To correct the above
ManU v ManC booking made up at 65 so 42 point loss
Watford V Reading made up at 10 so 63 point profit
Total goals made up at 18 so 111 point loss
Bolton won 4-0 so 51.60 point loss
Bolton West Ham had 4 bookings so 12 point profit
Total for the day 130 point loss so bank now 128 points.

One for today sell bookings Chelsea v Arsenal @55 Spreafair for 3 points.
Alan Wiley has averages only 3 cards per game so hopefully he can keep a lid on this game. As long as there is no sending off I would imagine worst case will be 7 bookings but if he is sensible it could be many less

Re: A return to Spread Betting

Next bet is a sell of the match performance in the Sheff Utd v Aston Villa game for 3 points at Sporting Index @78

The scoring for this is 15 points for a goal, 3 points for a corner, 5 points for a yellow card, 15 points for a red, 10 points for a penalty and -25 for a nil nil draw.
Aston Villa are top of the fair play league and Sheff Utd in the top half. Mike Hallsey averages 3 cards per game which is about both teams average. Villas' games rarely have many corners and neither team are very prolific in front of goal.
The make up for 2 goals, 11 corners and 3 yellows is 78 so in effect this is a sell of these, all of which could be likely. The stats don't suggest much downside ans a nil nil would be the icing on the cake.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

A cracking game of football and one which I hated every minute of

4 goals, 14 corners and 3 bookings made up at 117 so a 111 point loss leaves the bank at 59 points.

For tonight sell bookings Chelsea v Newcastle @40 Spreadfair
Buy bookings Wigan v Arsenal @40.8 Spreadfair.

The Chelsea game is Reffed by Phil Dowd who has one of the lowest averages in the league. Neither team is particually clean but Newcastles has improved recently so fingers crossed.
The Wigan game is reffed by Rob Styles who struggles to make less then 4 bbokings a game which is the average of these two teams home and away record. If the avarages hold up the most downside should be at 40 with hopefully plenty of room for upside. Both teams are in the bottom half of the fair play league.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

Another frustrating night and a 93 point loss so the bank is now -34 points.

I'll plod on for a bit and sell Englands runs in the first innings at Perth for 290 at Sporting Index. If Clark and Lee bowl half as well in the first session tommorrow as they did today then some of those play and misses will be edged. With Warne to come an a wicket Panesar took five wickets on as well England may struggle.
They are currently 51/2.

Re: A return to Spread Betting

Of all the bets to win it had to be this one

England all out for 215 so Bank now 41Points

Sell new Zealand Runs @225 for 1 point. They are currently 66/4 overnight and Fleming is out. Every batsman so far bar Sangakarra has struggled and the rest of the NZ batsman are not as good.
