Re: www.help2bet.net

Probably best to lay off the football for a few games left so you can see things unfold and get a better insight into teams.

No advice yet, but i will be sure to give you any if i see any parts that would help you. Looking into the under 2.5 market in France would be a great start

Re: www.help2bet.net

Next set of bets for midweek. Probably more to follow in the next few days.

Recommended bets:

5pts St Johnstone / Gretna @ 2.02 Bet365
1.97 Skybet
1.89 Stan James

As usual, the best 3 prices at the time of writing are quoted (unless otherwise stated). Links to all of these bookmakers can be found at the www.help2bet.net homepage. Any further questions or comments you may have regarding these bets can be e-mailed to support@help2bet.net . We will try our best to answer any queries before kick-off. For any new members, the staking plan uses a scale of 0-20 points, with 20 being a (rarely advised) maximum bet. We recommend a starting bank of around 200 points.

Cowdenbeath v St Johnstone (Scottish League Cup)
St Johnstone look pretty impressive this season after making a few signings over the summer. They have won their first two games pretty easily. Cowdenbeath have lost more home games over the past two seasons, than they have away games. Home advantage for Scottish Third Division teams does not mean a lot, so this is a very good bet. If St Johnstone were at home, the odds would be much lower. Cowdenbeath struggled to beat East Stirling on Saturday, so look unlikely to trouble St Johnstone here.

Albion Rovers v Gretna (Scottish League Cup)
Gretna beat Albion Rovers 5-0, 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0 last season. Since then Gretna have improved their squad, while Albion Rovers have arguably got worse. Gretna were at much shorter odds for this corresponding league fixture last season, and after beating Forfar easily at the weekend, there is no reason why they will not win easily again here. Again, home advantage does not count for a lot here, especially since Albion lost 11 home league games last season, and only 7 away league games. Take the odds on Gretna before they fall even more.

Summary: Gretna have already had their odds cut by Bet365 from their opening quote of 1.30. Despite this, the current odds still represent a good bet. Both Gretna and St Johnstone will probably not be available at such good odds on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is wise to get in early and take the bet now. Both St Johnstone and Gretna will take these matches seriously, as it is the Scottish League Cup (CIS Insurance Cup), with an opportunity to play the big clubs in the later rounds.

Best of luck with any bets you decide to place,

Re: www.help2bet.net

Good luck Zonker.

Agree with what you said about Gretna. Do any bookies offer handicap bets on the lower Scottish division's you know about?

Could get a lot more value from Gretna if we could find one.

Re: www.help2bet.net

Globet were offering things like Over/Under 2.5 goals on Scottish lower leagues last season, but people have since told me that they are a dodgy bookmaker.

A lot of bookmakers (like Canbet for example), don't even offer Scottish lower leagues any more. This will be because people took a lot of money off them on those leagues. As far as handicap betting is concerned, not really seen any to be honest. I'm not willing to use obscure bookmakers, so probably won't be able to bet on handicaps like that, but if you do spot someone offering them, let me know

I am positive Pinnacle did AH on Scottish lower leagues last season. Will have a look closer to the weekend to see if they still do it.

Re: www.help2bet.net

Lucky for St Johnstone tonight, hopefully Gretna can win that bet tomorrow. Some more bets for tomorrow, on the cricket.

Recommended bets:

4pts Nottinghamshire @ 1.73 General (virtually all bookmakers)

2pts Nottinghamshire / Northamptonshire @ 2.59 Betdirect.net, Stan James
2.49 Bet365, William Hill

As usual, the best 3 prices at the time of writing are quoted (unless otherwise stated). Links to all of these bookmakers can be found at the www.help2bet.net homepage. Any further questions or comments you may have regarding these bets can be e-mailed to support@help2bet.net . We will try our best to answer any queries before kick-off. For any new members, the staking plan uses a scale of 0-20 points, with 20 being a (rarely advised) maximum bet. We recommend a starting bank of around 200 points.

Nottinghamshire v Middlesex (Cricket County Championship Division One)
Middlesex suffered a blow when their Australian bowler Clark was called into the international squad. This means that their bowling for this game is very weak, as was proved in the last game against Warwickshire. Nottinghamshire have Read back to keep wicket, and look to have a much stronger team for this game, so need to be backed. Middlesex will really struggle to take 20 wickets here, so it will be hard for them to win.

Northamptonshire v Derbyshire (Cricket County Championship Division Two)
Derbyshire came really close to their first County Championship win of the season against Somerset, only to throw it away at the end, which must be a blow for their confidence. Apart from Welsh, all of their bowlers are having a poor season, and it is hard to see them winning any games this season. Northamptonshire have won impressively twice against Worcestershire recently, and look to be an improving team. Their batting is pretty good, and their bowling has got stronger as the season has gone on.

Summary: These matches start at approximately 11am UK time on Wednesday, so bets must be placed before then, although some bookmakers do suspend betting up to an hour before this time. Both matches are Draw No Bet (DNB), and will be treated as void if drawn. This is possible if there is some rain over the four days of the matches or the conditions are very good for batting all the way through.

Any football bets for Wednesday will be sent by 3pm (BST) at the very latest tomorrow. If no email is received by then, please assume that there are no football bets for tomorrow. Any more cricket bets for this week will be sent in good time before the matches take place.

Best of luck with any bets you decide to place,

Re: www.help2bet.net

The Northants bet looks a poor one, although plenty of time to recover it if they bat well second time around. At least it was only a small bet. Notts doing OK after day one.

Gretna won tonight, to win the midweek football bet:

Bets: 16 (8 won, 5 lost, 3 void) (8 other bets pending)
Staked: 75
Returned: 99.73
Yield: + 32.97%

Re: www.help2bet.net

Football bets for Saturday.

Recommended bets:

3pts Middlesbrough – English Premiership Group A (Middlesbrough, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers)
@ 3.00 Betinternet

1pt Lampard – Top Midfield Scorer (All Quoted)
@ 6.50 Totesport

1pt Pires – Top Midfield Scorer (All Quoted)
@ 9.00 Totesport

3.5pts Blackburn +1* / Dundee @ 3.37 Blue Square
3.26 William Hill
3.21 Centrebet

1.5pts Blackburn +1* / Clyde-Dundee Draw
@ 5.43 William Hill
5.37 Blue Square
5.36 Centrebet

5pts Rotherham +1* @ 1.62 Sportingbet, Sporting Odds
1.55 Ladbrokes

* = +1 on the handicap with draw market means we are taking these teams not to lose. Different bookmakers represent this bet in different ways (such as double chance) .

Premiership 2005/06
If Middlesbrough can avoid their injury problems of last season, they can improve and challenge for a top six place. The other teams quoted in this group by Betinternet (Aston Villa, Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers) are the perfect teams for Middlesbrough to go up against. A lot of bookmakers want to offer Newcastle as opponents in season bets against Middlesbrough, but it seems better to take on the other three teams in this group. Middlesbrough have money to spend and a settled squad. Bolton may be distracted by the UEFA Cup as they have a small squad, Manchester City have sold their best player and Aston Villa just are not very good. Middlesbrough could easily come out on top over the season, which makes this a good bet.

Lampard and Pires were both among the goals last season, and both will probably take some penalties this season. Totesport appear to have over-rated Chelsea’s other midfielders (Robben, Wright-Phillips and Joe Cole) when it comes to this scorer market, which has created good value elsewhere. Only Henry and Johnson scored more league goals than Pires last season, with Lampard just behind. Injury permitting, both players should score a lot of goals this season. Gerrard and Scholes were also worthy of consideration in this market at good odds, but Lampard and Pires both have a better chance of coming out on top.

West Ham v Blackburn (Premiership)
After losing most of their early away games last season, Blackburn became very hard to beat away from home. West Ham finished sixth in the Championship last season, and in their home games against the five teams that finished above them, they picked up only one point. Neither team has changed too radically since last season, so the odds on Blackburn avoiding defeat here seem more than fair.

Chesterfield v Rotherham (League One)
Chesterfield ended last season very poorly, and despite winning at Blackpool, have not looked that great this season so far. They are favourites for relegation in League One, and probably rightly so. Rotherham have some decent players for this level, and should do alright this season. They have a lot of players with experience at a higher level, and should be able to avoid defeat here at the very least.

Clyde v Dundee (Scottish Division One)
Clyde have changed their manager and most of their team since last season, and are expected to struggle. Dundee have lost a few players since their relegation from the Scottish Premier League. They still look a pretty strong team for this level though and have started pretty well this season. It is hard to see Dundee losing here, and with decent odds available on them, it is possible to bet on them to win and cover the draw.

Summary: A few other bets were considered, but these seemed the best ones. Any football bets for Sunday will be sent by late on Saturday evening (UK time). The cricket bets advised for Wednesday will be settled today.

Best of luck with any bets you decide to place,

Re: www.help2bet.net

Here is a one-day cricket bet for today.

Recommended bets:

5pts Essex @ 1.50 Blue Square
1.44 Bet365, Betdirect, Betinternet, Coral, Paddy Power, Skybet, Sportingbet, Sporting Odds, Totesport, Victor Chandler, William Hill

Gloucestershire v Essex (Cricket: Totesport National League Division One)
Gloucestershire are missing several key players, and face an Essex team who are still unbeaten in this competition this season. Gloucestershire have suffered a couple of heavy defeats this week, so everything points to an Essex win, which is a good bet even at fairly short odds.

Summary: This match starts at approximately 1pm (UK time) on Sunday, so bets must be placed before then, although most bookmakers do suspend betting about half an hour before this time. This is a one day match, so the bet will be settled today. There are no bets on the UK football on Sunday

Re: www.help2bet.net

Essex lost rather disappointingly, having lost the toss. A team I bet on will win the toss sooner or later

Re: www.help2bet.net

Next bet, Essex again

Recommended bets:

10pts Essex @ 1.40 Victor Chandler
1.36 Blue Square, William Hill

As usual, the best 3 prices at the time of writing are quoted (unless otherwise stated). Links to all of these bookmakers can be found at the www.help2bet.net homepage. Any further questions or comments you may have regarding these bets can be e-mailed to support@help2bet.net . We will try our best to answer any queries before kick-off. For any new members, the staking plan uses a scale of 0-20 points, with 20 being a (rarely advised) maximum bet. We recommend a starting bank of around 200 points.

Derbyshire v Essex (Cricket: County Championship Division One)
Derbyshire have still yet to win a match in the County Championship this season, despite being in a very good position in their last match against Northamptonshire. That defeat says a lot about Derbyshire. Bar Welsh, their bowling is just not good enough to bowl teams out twice to win games. Essex suffered a very disappointing defeat in the Totesport League on Sunday against Gloucestershire, but in this competition beat Durham quite impressively in their last match. Essex have Nel to come into the team to boost their bowling, and just look better than Derbyshire in every department.

Summary: This match starts at approximately 11am (UK time) on Tuesday, so bets must be placed before then, although most bookmakers do suspend betting up to an hour before this time. This is a four day match, so the bet will be settled on Friday.

Best of luck with any bets you decide to place,
