Bank until end of Season

I'm really crap at keeping track of my bets so apologies if I fall behind with this but I *need* to start keeping proper records. I just can't be bothered. If I'm up I'm up and if i'm down then knowing the exact amount hurts my confidence and I tinker around with my selection / staking and it all goes tits up. Confidence. Faith. 50pts and about what... 3 months or so to go?

So the starting bank will be 50 pts. Those of you that know me know that I go for a "diversfied" approach and will have rought 30-40 pts on a Saturday covering about 7-12 bets. Seems a lot to have that considering the bank but I've been doing it for quite a few matchdays and loosing the lot would be extremely difficult indeed. Not impossible though. I think my biggest loss (excluding exceptional max bets that go wrong) would be about 20pts....

My staking system is in points a rough guideline I follow is:

1 pt - Small bet / interest stakes
2 pts -Small bet
3-4pts - Average bet (Approx 80 % of my bets on estimate)
5-10 pts - Medium Stakes (About 15%)
10pts + Maximum bet (Rougly 5%)

I reckon given the bank is what it is my maximum bet from now until the end of the season will be 15pts regardless.

I'd be well happy to reach 20% profit (60pts) at the end of the season. Sounds easy on paper!

Right, here goes:

Starting Bank: 50

Selections:

Hereford 4 pts @ 2.25
Cambridge C 4 pts @ 2.37

Revised Bank ?........

Hope you don't mind if I join you mate, stake for stake. After all, I think I've got some money coming at the end of the season courtesy of you anyway.

Right - where do I find these non league prices then, 365, stan james?

Re: Bank until end of Season

Right I'm on mate. Two singles and a double for me so won't be on the same profit and loss as you but, basically I need both to lose, to lose and both to win to make a decent profit with one winner returning my stakes.

I'm happy with that

Re: Bank until end of Season

Fcuking 'ell ODM - I was expecting a "good luck" message - not a fellow follower of madness

Fair play to you mate. my punting does need some more discipline and the mere fact that you're in here with me will make me screen my bets all the more.

The two I've outlined (and I will analyize all my selections in the relevant threads) I'm quite confident of and was thinking about the double myself but couldn't get my head round the stake required. 1 pt?

I don't expect that Cambridge City price to last either as the bookies have the off field almagamation priced in I'm sure and not the form of the two teams.

I have deliberately left off the prices to make people read the threads where I have inluded them erm... I think. Stan James anycase with them two.

As to Weymouth it's good news all round this week. Dean "fcuked a porn star" Holdsworth has signed on and at 37 he still should make the net bulge at this level as he did last season. And St A's lost last night so Weymouth could be 9
pts clear.... Well - they were something stupid like 1/10 earlier on in the week...

Re: Bank until end of Season

St Albans 6 pts @ 1.66 - Won 3-2
Mangotsfield 3 pts @ 2.7

Lost 1-0

0-0 61 mins gone. Keeper sent off. Defender in goal.

Workington 2 pts @ 2.62 Void

Well. 4-0 up. Opponents keeper sent off after 4 mins. Floodlight failure at half-time. Bet Voided.

And I ain't making it up but I will trump any of your "Two goals in the last minute" gambling stories with the above beauty.

So For the midweek I made a profit of one point.

Revised Bank 44.9

Back in Black Baby!

Evey weekend like the one above would do me nice. Although it actually looks unspectacular it looks like I did alright with my staking. 23 points staked (excluding voided bet) 8.8 points profit. Rough bit a maths thats just over 35% return on investment. Onto midweek now.

Oh, and Weymouth are now 5 clear with my E/W tips (Cambridge / Lewes) a point behind Farnboro in 3rd Come on!

Back in black

(for the record im currently 178pts up on non league for the season, altho granted 50pts of that was solely on that Bedford bet and I dont have any outright bets like u do).

Re: Bank until end of Season

Cheers.

Think I'm definitely well up for the season thanks to those Chesham maximum tickles a while back but I lost track so started this thread to keep me focused.

Yeah, that Weymouth outright is a biggy (35pt @ 3.5) but is drawfed by the monster 100pts I had yesterday on Crawley to be relegated at 2.325.....

Re: Bank until end of Season

I take it youll be living on baked beans til come the end of April then

I only had 1 non league outright bet and it was pre season, Grays 5pts e/w at 11/1 for the league, theyve well and truly cocked that up tho. Although im still liking the 5pts ive got on Swindon to be relegated at 9/1, thatll be a welcome 50pts back if I see it.

My embarassment pick was my only other ante post bet other than those 2 and thats 5pts on Carlisle to be relegated at 11/1 and theyre top (ive no idea how though I dont think they even deserved to go up last season).

Re: Bank until end of Season

Mate - I'd been loving that Grays bet myself a few months back as I was kicking myself after considering it pre-season. Swindon could be a go-er.

I tell you Muze - after watching the prices come in massively this season from the day they were released right up until the first day of the season I'm going to do so heavy backing on Betfair post-season. That's if I have any money to gamble with...

Don't get a lot of bake beans out here but a bowl of rice is about 20p. My rent is only about 15pts a month aswell!

Wooh, kinda puts the Crawley bet into perspective that I suppose....

I tell you, not only couldn't I believe,

A) It was still up on the site
b) The price (11/8)

but the maximum bet was fcuking huge. You know we were talking about our maximums with bet365 the other week? Well this maximum was 16 times the maximum that they allowed me on that match we were discussing.

They allowed me 200 pts but I only stuck 100 on, even though I have probably another 50 pts or so at hand. I did quickly look on Betfair and they only have a "To finish bottom" market else I would've done - no fear.
