Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

excellent CG as the top one i think we can sort with the first coloum being a date coloum couldnt we? Then we could just sort by date after we've added selections before saving. If you make one up for yourself or use my demo CG. Once i see it in action i'll have to make it so as everyone knows how to apply the formulas which might be a bit tricky but im sure anyone who likes a bet would be able to get their head arround some simple instructions. Im glad to hear that the true false function can help us. Be great if we get it just set up perfect.

as there just doesnt seem to be any sort feature
ah ok maybe then that will be a problem then. Still if folks do a post per month with a new spreadsheet that should be still easy to view for people especially as they can see the profit/loss.

As mentioned folks you can make up a new spreadsheet per sport/country etc just so as you and others can see ow you do in a particular event. id like to think that my Scottish tipping record will be better than my international tipping record so i'll make sure their kept well apart.

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

they could even just have all their bets on one big spreadsheet running from top to bottom. Maybe archive it and then start a new one for next season

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

Right im gonna get this sorted this morning as we need to get this in place and then we can move on with things. I'll go make a test one for folks to help with.....

View the output here-
TDP Betting Blogs

change the spreadsheet here-
TDP Betting Blogs » TDP Betting Record Admin Test

right between us surely we have enough brains and knowledge to sort this out. Main problem areas are-

a) yield - CG proved that this is very possible. Need just the forumla
b) removing cells - some stranger done this for us last test but we have yet to work out what they did nor have they to share it with us

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

and thats as much as i know. i cant get rid of the cells on the right nor can i make anyything add up. I can select multiple coloums or rows but thats about it. I dont even know what it wants to add up. Im presuming you want profit/loss to be just ONE cell up top right. the stake would need to x the odds and auto add (if = true) or something. anyone help with the automation of all this? thanks

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

ps dont forget we could have diff spreadsheets for dif sports/leagues. you just change the ID number in the spread sheet and also add a line where you want to display it changing it to the relevant number

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

right cool ive got it adding up and taking away from the P/L coloum. Im using this code

=F2+F3+F4

Im sure that there will be a better formula to add up the range F2 to F?. Once we get it sussed i can add the forulas to people's blogs if their a little unsure. right whats next? i need the stake to multiply the odds. cool clicking the numbers or letters on the side highlights the rows and coloums for you to centre things. all basic excel i presume but some of us aint used it for 7 years

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

What it does do-

It multiplys stake x odds
it takes the product (ooooo) of stake x odds and adds all the products together into the top profit box on the right.

What it doesnt do-
It doesnt make the product of stake x odds a negative number if N is enteredt in the W/L coloum

Also the forumla for the muliplying seems a bit shit as you have to add them for each line. im using-

=C2*D2

and having to enter it into each cell individually. i hope there is an easier way

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

Well on excel the sum formula is =sum(F1:F99)
which will auto add all the columns in F

this also works on the spreadsheet.

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

Komp have edited it as your collumn said profit and loss where in actual fact it is the return(stake + profit) also added in the yield colloumn

Re: Spreadsheet Betting Formulas

Thats starting to look good fellas thanks. jb could we use this sum function so as it will multiply the stake by the odds on all the coloums and make it appear as it is? (ie return coloum) Also if we could make the overal profit and over all yield maybe on one coloum like so-

Profit
£12.50

Yield
23.45

and thus give us more space for the other cells?
