Re: Tennis 21st - 27th (ATP Austria, WTA Istanbul and Strasbourg)
Montanes doing his level best to throw it away. 4 break points in first set - converted none. Mini break in the 1st set tie break at 4-2. Lost next 5 points. Has taken it to a third but lost his first service game . Horna looks opposoable again next round with a better player than Montanes likely to send him packing.
Will make a profit today but with Shaugnessy losing the plot when well in control it should have been much better than it will be.
Re: Tennis 21st - 27th (ATP Austria, WTA Istanbul and Strasbourg)
Thanks Johnny
I've followed Monfils all week. He's changed coach recently and I think he's the typical confidence player so when he is on a roll he is worth following. I will watch the taped highlights tonight and see how much was djue to him and how much to poor Roddick play. I'm not sure he will trouble Hewitt the form the Australian is in. Wait till prices freeze.
The Davydenko match as I thought was won by Monaco. Something smelled bad about that game from the off. No way would Davydenko go off at 1.44 against Monaco in normal circumstances.

Unlucky with Sharapova RcGills. She obviously went to sleep in the middle.
Re: Tennis 21st - 27th (ATP Austria, WTA Istanbul and Strasbourg)
Well haing watchewd Roddick-Monmfils last night I'd have to say Roddick didn't give 100%. His doubles partner Delic also scratched from the doubles with a cold :wasntmedespite being at the SF stage which conveniently allowed Roddick off to Paris. Hewitt does look very short at 1.33 and you'd have to think at the back of his mind that he doesn't want a prolonged game. If it goes to 3 Monfild might have a chance and odds of around 4 might be worth a sniffle. I'm leaving alone.
In the other semi opposing Horna twice this week hasn't done me any good and today he looks very long against Monaco. H to H is 3-2 for Moanco (all clay) but Horna beat him here last year so I'm going to leave this one alone. Horna probably the value at odds against.
I'll be having a small nibble on Garrigues against Jankovic at a massive 6. Garrigues won this in 2005 is playing some solid tennis and in Berlin last week Jankovic needed 3 tight sets to see her off. Garrigues laboured against Li but quotes of 6 are very fancy. Jankovic might do a Roddick here if things get difficult as Roland Garos must be her focus surely.
Garrigues 0.5 Units @ 6
Jaknovic 2-1 0.5 Units @ 4.3
The other semi Mauresmo should comfortably see off Bartoli who has only made one clay SF ever. Questions of motivation arise and its one to avoid IMO.
In Turkey I'm going to chance Dementieva to see off Bondarenko. Motivation again a slight concern but Dementieva is slipping down the rankings and even making the final here is close to a 4th round apperaance in RG in terms of ranking points. Old failings on serve are always a worry but she battledback gutsily to beat Castano yesterday. Bondarenko benefited from Schynder scracthing but I think Demetieva will give it 100% like she usually does. I watch Dementieva's matchs with my hands over my eyes when I have money on them but her price looks a small bit big,
Dementieva 1.5 Units @ 1.75
Re: Tennis 21st - 27th (ATP Austria, WTA Istanbul and Strasbourg)
Should have been braver and had a few £ on Monfils at 4/1. Faces Monco in a finalwhich he is surprisingly a dog at righrt now. Dementieva wins 1 of my bets while the second voided as Jankovic decides to hightail it to Paris. Makes the Garrigues shout a real value bit in my view but not to be unfortunately

Tomorrow Monfils meets Monaco in Austria, Demetieva should beat Rezai and Mauresmo meets Garrigues in Strasbourg in a mach where I might have a few quid on Garrigues if the price is right.
