Great start.

Mirza blows 3 match points on her own serve – loses tiebreak .

Tu loses second set a break up to lose tiebreak.

Kendrick nicks the first but I’m dubuious he can keep this up. Going to put an i/r bet on Djokovic @ 2.02

1.50 Units (i/r) Djokovic @ 2.02

there you go daily punters, Arnauld Clement a set and a break up. Who needs explainations when you can just read the tip and stake! Hope some people backed the Frenchman

And I hope that doesn't turn round and bite you on the arse, Jacky, seeing as that match is far from over.

As for not posting reasoning, the whole point of a forum is for people to exchange thoughts. Someone simply saying "Guys, back Clement 5/6 and Baghdatis 8/13" isn't going to convince anyone to do anything - well, if you'd been around for a couple of months, say, and consistently posting winners, then maybe it would, but not at the moment. Your bets may well win, or they may lose, but simply posting bets without any kind of reasoning isn't really of much use to anyone on the forum. Good luck anyway.

Thanks RCGills I meant no offence by it whatsoever. Just I have had little time recently and thought I'd just say what I was backing and hoped people would benefit from what I had said. For example someone may have been erring on the side of Clement, but not have been 100% sure. After reading from someone else that they would also back them it could give them the confidence to place the bet. Totally agree that it would be better with explanation and I will strive to do that in future if possible.

Ona brighter note Clement is 4-3 and has the serve so fingers crossed there. Also I backed Djokovic at 5/6 at the end of the first set, but am worried due to Kendrick's injury that he may retire and I will not get a payout. Anyone know what the deal is with Skybet on this?

No worries, Jacky. No-one's asking for a long, detailed explanation, but obviously if you have the time, a few words about why you think a player will win is always welcome.

Clement's through now for you anyway. Can't help with regard to Skybet, I'm afraid, not sure how they settle in the event of a retirement. Should be in their terms and conditions somewhere though.

Nice one with Clement. He was on my shortlist but I was afraid of Guccione’s serve. Baggy should win but the price is too short for me.

One from Barcelona

1 Unit Salierni to beat Kanepi @ 2.92

Not as much between these two as the price would indicate. Salierni made the semis in Casablanca and had a good first round win. Has not dropped a set in this or her 3 qualifiers.

Thanks for reply RCGills. Djokovic has just won the match. Would you believe that I have nailed him twice in the last two weeks when behind! First one was at evens when he was down against Patience, and now at 5/6. Becoming one of those players I am beginning to love! Agree Baghdatis is short odds but paired him with the Spurs to win the basketball so I am set for a reasonable profit if he does win.

Nadal/ Del Potro, come on guys where's your money here?

I'd go along with Wittmann's comments earlier on this one. Wouldn't rule out a shock, but would want bigger than the 3.45 or thereabouts that's available before I'd be tempted.

Have backed MOnfils in running at 2.3 (0.75 Unit)

He has won 7 of 8 tiebreaks on grass - this looks 50:50

Re: Tennis 11-18/6/2007 (ATP Halle & Queens, WTA Birmingham & Barcelona Clay)

Sorry about that Kiko.

Monfils made the break and had to serve out the set for a 6-4 victory.

Needless to say he choked and lost the next three games.

Story of my day today.

If Mahut doesn’t beat Bjorkman this will be an absolute stinker of a day. Not hopeful. Has had all the bps, taken none and when 30-0 up against Bjorkman serve he lost the final game of the set and then the tiebreak. Bjorkman yet to create a single break point but still in this.

No worries mate.

We seen how bad my luck was last week and we have seen similar instances for yourself today so mixing us together was always a recipe for disaster

You did well in the all english affair

Stadler's done well enough here so far, beating the likes of Burgsmuller and Pavel in qualifying, and then beating Zverev in straight sets in the 1st round proper. Also took a set off of Karlovic at Surbiton last week on grass. May also have an advantage from playing in his home country. Youzhny is obviously favourite, but I don't think he should be this big a favourite. Will be looking to back Youzhny if Stadler manages to get his nose in front at any point.
That'll do for me, Stadler takes the second set 6-1 and Youzhny is out to 1.5. Have taken 2pts on Youzhny there, so will now be +0.48pts if Youzhny wins, or +2.85pts if Stadler wins.

And Gallovits is through in straight sets.
