Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
this is my first banker of the wimbledon
Blake to beat Andreev
both players poor on grass, simply andreev is rather crappy, with almost anaemic first serve, and almost useless back hand, i can not imagine the russian to make a single win here
Blake maximum confidence

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
Henman to beat Moya
ok, i understand very well that henman will try to defend the flag for britons, since murray is in questionable condition, i am confident he would beat moya, a legend but not grass player at all
Henman to win against his fellow old maximum confidence

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
Wimbledon Wild Cards :
Gentlemen’s Singles
Jamie BAKER (GBR)
Richard BLOOMFIELD (GBR)
Alex BOGDANOVIC (GBR)
Thiemo de BAKKER (NED)
Marin CILIC (CRO)
Joshua GOODALL (GBR)
Jonathan MARRAY (GBR)
Jo-Wilfried TSONGA (FRA)
Tsonga is finally on Wimbledon and I beleive in him. Great form for one of my favorite challenger's players. He beat Hewitt last week and I beleive in him in first round.
Just to say if he win first match he goes on Murray and I'll go with low stake on him against Murray also.
Cilic is also in great form and IMO he can make good result here. There is two day more to think but I think they will be my bets in first round.
Other players with Wild cards are not so good and I expect from them to lose in first round but it depend from their opposits in first round.

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
quarter finals predictions, prividing tha i have studied the draw correctly
1. Roger Federer v Philipp Kolhi
2. Andy Roddick v Nicoals Mahut
3. Marcos Baghdatis v Ivo Karlovic
4. Tomas Berdych v Michael Youznhy
thnks, predictions are based on players current form and recent performances, with the exception of federer( he didnt play after roland garros, but nobody thinks of a negative surprise from the huge favourite)

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
I have very nice odds on handicap in my local bookies and I must try this.
Blake -1 @1.75
Tsonga -1 @2.6
Tsonga is in great form and after beating Hewitt I beleive that he can win this match. Blake has great serve and he was great last few years on grass and on the other side Andreev is clay court player and he was teriblle on grass and hard court.
This is not my big piks for tommorow both are for low stake but I must try.

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
Here's some quick analysis for Day 1 at Wimbledon...
20pts Haas-Kohlschreiber-Gonzalez-Roddick-Federer (2.34 @ William Hill)
Federer and Roddick to beat Gabashvili and Gimelstob respectively are pretty much self-explanatory.
Ginepri is one of those who hardly ever turns up at a Grand Slam and is always woefully inconsistent. Given his lack of grasscourt pedigree (with just one 4th Round appearance sandwiched by 1st Round exits) and Gonzalez's consistency of late (not to mention better grasscourt pedigree and recent form at Queen's), it'd be hard to see Ginepri being able to test Gonzalez here.
While Haas' record on grass isn't exactly the greatest, he'd still make Fleishman an amateur on paper. I've seen very little from Fleishman to suggest his hardcourt game would be of much use against the experienced German here.
Kohlschreiber is your typical big server whose game is as adept on grass as it can ever possibly get. The diminutive Serra, on the other hand, has a game which is just about as ineffective on grass as it can possibly get (born out by his terrible record at Wimbledon - making the main draws just once and that only lasted the first round) - throw in the fact he's got to cope with a big server who is physically much stronger and more experienced on grass and it's hard to see where Serra could pose sufficient threat to Kohlschreiber.
10pts Henman-Qureshi-Lopez (2.92 @ William Hill)
Much as Henman's form been poor all year, I don't think I've seen enough to be convinced Moya's been consistent enough to test Henman on a surface he's hardly comfortable with. Henman should take this in 4.
With the exception of Henman and Murray(who has withdrawn), there's hardly any decent Brits worth backing. Lopez and Qureshi have certainly both proved themselves to be more experienced - and capable - on this surface than Goodall and Childs respectively. Qureshi having beaten Gasquet a couple of weeks ago on grass certainly can't have done his confidence much harm.
Cheers & Good Luck!

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
my best selection
Qureshi to beat Childs @1.43
the pakistani is very impressive grass player, i expect easy win here max stakes
as i mentioned in previous post Blake is also banker against very poor andreev, but this is not any credit to the american, is because the russian is total crap on grass
Third one is Philipp Kolhi to beat serra, i rate kolhi as one of the hottest players at the moment, and if luck and circumstances are on him, then we will see him in quarters against federer
philipp is @1.38
blake is @1.35
bye, have a nice day

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
Given the weather forecast for today, looks like we might not get much play, so for the time being I'm only going to consider bets for matches which are first on each court, will consider others later if it looks like they'll get to play. So only one bet for now:
Falla to beat Querrey @ 1.82 2pts
Falla has a pretty impressive 10-3 record on grass for the past 12 months, and 20-10 overall. Came through qualifying without dropping a set, although the opposition wasn't particularly tough. Querrey, meanwhile, has 4 grasscourt games to his name, and has lost 3 of them, including a far from impressive defeat at Surbiton at the start of this month to the world number 1522, Jim May. Took a set off Blake at Halle the following week, but I think Falla should have too much for him here.
Also on my shortlist for later, should the weather hold out, are Roger-Vasselin, Stepanek, Berlocq, Qureshi and Tsonga.

Mahut v Clement Wimbledon today
Mahut beat Clement in two sets in the semis before losing on a 3rd set tiebreak to Roddick at Queens last week. They have played twice and Mahut is yet to lose a set. He is in great form and this is a great price.
Back him at 4/7 with Ladbrokes

Re: Wimbledon men's event 25 June - 8 July
a double for me .. not much time to post sry
Thomas Haas to beat Fleishman
Hartfield to beat Zib
Zib with a bad performance in his last starts - and Hartfield beat some mid-class players in the last couple of weeks like Ginepri or Spadea. Zib with 5 1st round outs and 2 or 3 2nd round outs .. not his best year so far.
Hartfield @ 3.75 bwin
Haas the 10th best in ATP Ranking will face the american unkown player Fleishman. I think thatīs a clear match. Haas will win.
Haas to win @ 1.2 bwin
good luck
