Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
Today I'll try Benesova, Dementieva, Garbin, Mathieu and Schnyder in a 3 out of 5 perm.
Another speculative bet, that I do like - Knapp against Vaidisova at 17.5, BF

Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
Nobody fancy women at Wimbledon today?
I'm taking the following strong acca - Azarenka, Paszek, Bartoli, Medina Garigues with 2.5/10
Also Galovits at ~4.5 looks pretty good.

Only 2 for me, Engineer, and unfortunately I'm against you in both of them Have gone with Vinci and Ruano Pascual.

Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
As my perm 3/5 looks really good at the moment and Garigues ruining my acca, today I'll be on singles (based on feelings, expectations and value, not so much on facts):
Paszek at~2 against Golovin 1.5/10
Rezai at ~3 against Shiavone 1.5/10
Cornet at ~3.20 against Sugiama (eliminated Kirilenko, I'll be very angry with her if she can't win today) 2/10
O'Brien - at over7, risky bet, maybe laying 2:0 Krajicek would be better and I'm not tight-fisted for it: 2/10

Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
Just two for me today in the womens. Laying Srebotnik @ 1.38 against a promising player in Ozegovic, and a very speculative lay of Sharapova @ 1.04 v Bremond. Sharapova struggling with an injury, doctors have said she's OK to play, although I think I read somewhere she'll be taking 3 weeks off after Wimbledon.
Edit - Oh, and the lay of Schnyder carried over from yesterday.

Marion Bartoli for me today. I hope she won't let me down against Peer and 2.60 is a great price - 2.5/10

Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
Yes, I'd go along with that Engineer, can't see why she's an outsider for this one. Would take that bet myself, but as I've got Bartoli on the outright, I'm just going to stick with that for now.
Only bet so far for me in the women's event is a lay of Chakvetadze 2-0 v Krajicek. Krajicek a pretty strong grass court player, and to be honest I reckon she's capable of winning this one, but have gone with the safer option of her not to lose 2-0.

Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
no no, shahar peer is better player overal, i like her very much, fighting like a tiger all points, i think she would win over bartoli, but i dont advice anybody to follow, as personally i will not take her either, happened to watch her and i like her style too much, i decided not place money on womens tennis again, and thats my principle, shahar plays very good, but no money on this or any other women's event

Peer's got no real record on grass though, Martens, never made it further than the QF of any grass tournament. Bartoli has made 2 grass SFs this year at Birmingham and Eastbourne.

Re: Wimbledon women's event 25 June - 8 July
Time to remember for this thread, maybe.
I'm going for a double Ivanovich + Sharapova today.
Serbian girl impresses me the most and should be able to outplay Petrova, although the Russian is a tough opponent. But 1.5 looks fair to me, so I'll take it.
Not sure if Sharapova can withstand till the end, but she plays her game and I don't see many chances for Venus Williams here. She was lucky enough yesterday against Morigami, but if she performs in the same way against Maria, nothing good will happen to her.
Ivanovic + Sharapova - 2.5/10

OMG, Bartoli eliminates Jankovic RC, your outright bet looks a cracker
I'm glad Ivanovic did it in a very tight match and now i hope Sharapova to see Wiliams off .GIF)

Yeah nice stuff.
After eventing i know, well i didnt bet on her so isnt really, but i was eyeing her up at 1000 on Betfair at one point. Remember Eurosports RG coverage and the commentator said she could surprise a few at Wimbledon, how grass is her favourite bla bla bla.
Didnt take it though. Even before her win today she was still in the 700s. Madness.
I have Sharapova on the outright at 9.2. That was 2 rounds ago and the whole idea was if she got through a few rounds her price would drop. 2 rounds later and its still 7.00
Anyone know why? I mean shes at the easier end of the draw etc. Seems a bit mad. She carrying a possible injury?
