Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Don't have time now to look at the draws and go for antepost betting, but the first round in the women's tourney always keeps some good value bets.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
T. Pironkova should beat the Polish girl Domachowska, but I don't like the price and wouldn't touch that game. Pironkova has been showing good tennis since January, but Domachowska is a decent player also, so odds 1.70 for the Bulgarian look short to me.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Meilen Tu to beat E. Makarova @2.68 - 3 pts
Tu was in shittie form recently but should get together at last on home ground. Her opponent Makarova perfomed well in Melbourne, but then lost against Kirilenko and Bammer - two out of sort players and I can't give her credits today. Odds on Tu are good enough for a punt.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Emili Loit to beat Jie Zheng @2.66 - 4 pts
Great price for the French, although she is performing worse than ever recently. Defeated on hard, defeated on clay... But her opponent isn't in much better condition and after all I rate Loit as a decent enough player to beat the Chinese and change that h2h. 50-50 game and Loit deserves a poke here.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Have got a few outright bets that I like the look of given the draw. In the men's event, have gone with Djokovic @ 5.5 (3pts) and Gonzalez @ 120 (1pt). Really can't see there being anyone in Djokovic's quarter of the draw to trouble him - Ferrer, Nieminen, Baghdatis, Berdych, Canas, Monaco and Kohlschreiber are the other seeds in the quarter. The bottom half (where Djokovic is) looks much the better half of the draw to be in, Nadal is the top seed in the half, although I wouldn't bank on him reaching the semis, and the likes of Federer, Roddick, Murray are in the top half.
May also consider Stepanek, although I'd want a bigger price than what's currently available.
In the women's event, it's hard to see past Sharapova IMO, but the price is far too short on her. Only bet so far for me is Na Li, where someone very kindly matched me @ 95 (1pt). Think the 2nd quarter could be the place to look for possible shocks - the 3 highest seeds in there are in pretty inconsistent form of late (Jankovic, Bartoli, Bammer). Am considering taking Medina Garrigues from there if I can get matched at a decent price (she's gone as high as 150, I'd want a bit higher than that if I can get it), and Hsieh might not be a bad long shot following her excellent performance in the Aussie Open at the start of the year.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Craybas to beat Zahlavova @1.63 - 5 pts
The American veteran is having big time recently and enjoys playing on hard, made the final in Pattaya and semi in Acapulko. If she has enough in the tank she should destroy the Czech on home ground. Craybas all the way

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Rodionova to beat Amanmuradova @2.60 - 3.5 pts
Two players in good from and I can't see why the Russian is the outsider here. Moreover she leads the h2h 1:0 winning on hard convincignly last year. Can't miss that price.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
For the match betting, have got 3 for today:
Lay Amanmuradova @ 1.6 v Rodionova, liability 2pts
These two met on hard court in October, with a straight sets win for Rodionova. Amanmuradova in the better form of late, but I still don't make her that clear a favourite.
Lay Arvidsson @ 1.55 v Voracova, liability 2pts
H2H is 1-1 between these, with Voracova winning the most recent meeting just 2 weeks ago in Las Vegas in 3 sets. Voracova's had a couple of qualifiers to get into her flow here, and Arvidsson is way under-priced in my opinion.
Schuettler to beat Giraldo 2-0 @ 2.5 (2pts)
Giraldo's 1st qualif. round here against Garcia was his first match on a hard court since September (and that was Davis Cup), sticks mainly to the clay. This is much more Schuettler's surface, and he saw off Sirianni without much fuss in the first qualifying round. Asked for 2.5 on Betfair thinking it was rather optimistic, and was pleasantly surprised to get it matched.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
By the way, Dementieva isn't actually playing here, despite still being on the list at Betfair, just in case anyone was tempted by the seemingly high odds available on her. From memory, although not 100% sure, I think the same may apply to Golovin and Azarenka.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Just logged in again to write about Voracova to beat Arviddson, cheers RC.
Voracova - 2.5 pts
And one more:
Shvedova to beat Savchuk @1.48 - 7.5 pts
Savchuk is desperate at the moment she somehow managed to beat poor Katie O'Brien in Bangalore but will struggle against Shvedova who won me some money that year and I hope for that run to continue. She is playing consistently and I expect her to make good progress till the summer...
Go go Yaroslava

Got matched at 250, so 1pt on Medina Garrigues too.

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
Matched on Stepanek at 280, so 1pt on him as well. That'll do for me on the outrights, possibly barring Hsieh although I don't think I'll get matched at the asking price on her.
Yesterday's match betting could've gone better Rodionova went from 4-3 up and serving to lose the first set 6-3, going down in straight sets in the end. Voracova was a set up and twice went a break up in the 2nd set, but still ended up losing to Arvidsson, and Schuettler went down in straight sets

Re: Pacific Life Open WTA + ATP
hello boys! engeneer and rcgills, how are you doing?
Llodra and Wawrinka, is my double, but i have to think it too much before placing money...
you see... tennis is very unpredictable sport, even in men lately, who was expecting feliciano lopez to reach final in dubai? none i guess..and not only this, to hit some 23 aces! jesus christ....
i will try both to win, as an adding in my bets, i mean little bit extra money on seperate bet with my main selections from uefa cup, and euroleague
see you
