Can't agree Haas should be such favourite today against Moya.
OK, the German has a bit better recent form, but not that better and Moya is well capable of causing an upset against the inconsistent Tommy. h2h tied at 5:5, but Moya has won their two meeting on hard surfaces (many years ago, admittedly ).
Anyway, a small bet on the Spaniard for me:
Moya @3.55 - 2 pts

Also Bjorkman could be worth a try against Clement at odds against. He disappointed at Wimbledon, but is doing quite well since then, on the other hand Clement had his big time in London and I can't see him achieving many more good results in the singles. Bjorkman a slight favourite for me:
Bojrkman @2.86 - 2.5 pts

In most of the other games in Toronto can't expect anything, but victories for the favs.

Soderling, Berdych, Simon and Cilic should win their games and maybe I'll go for an accum with these.

Lopez for me to continue his fine run from Wimbledon. A great victory over Stepanek in the first round and I don't see a reason for him not to progress today.
Tursunov won quite surprisingly against Blake last week, but today I'm more than willing to oppose him again.
Lopez @2.22 - 3 pts

One more bet for me:

Ferrer 2:0 against Ginepri @2.22 - 4pts

Can't see the yank causing many troubles to David, he starts to like the US hard courts more and more and this should be a walk in the park for him.

Re: Tennis week 21.07./27.07.2008 (WTA + ATP)

After another horror show for Federrer today we have a nice set of fixtures.

So, can see the hero Simon being brought down by the flying Acasuso. After you've prepared for a clash against Fedex and than surprisingly you get Simon for an opponent that's not a chance to miss. 50-50 game for me and I'm going for a nice value bet:
Acasuso @3.4 - 1.5 pts

Wawrinka to beat Murray @2.3 - 6 pts
The bet of the day for me. Not so sure about Murray's motivation yet, but even he's willing to perfrom, I still see Stan as a favourite today. He's raising his game day after day and won't be surprised to see him playing in Shanghai in the end of the year. He's one of the most inconvinient opponents for Murray who will struggle against the powerfull strokes of the Swiss and lose his nerves eventually.

Ferrer to beat Gasquet @1.56 - 6 pts
If Ritchie keeps the same number of unforced errors as he did vs Llodra nothing good is in front of him against in-form Ferrer. This could even finish in two sets, but I won't risk it that much today. Anyway, a victory for the Spaniard is expected.

Re: Tennis week 21.07./27.07.2008 (WTA + ATP)

Andreev to beat Nadal @8.6 - 2 pts
Lay Nadal 2:0 @1.42 - liab 5 pts
Andreev +4.5 games @1.9 - 5 pts

Risky, but value bets, based on Andreev's great recent form and the great winning streak of Nadal that should end sooner or later. He's not that unbeatable, especially on the hard courts in USA. Yes a great opportunity is in front of him after Federrer being eliminated so early, but I can see the Russian fighting hard and maybe nicking something from that game. Hope he wont let me down.

Re: Tennis week 21.07./27.07.2008 (WTA + ATP)

i beleive exactly the same engineer

i cant imagine nadal winning for ever especially on hard surfaces

but andreev, simply no sympathy him, coudnt do as proved

today

Djokovic @1.20 v Murray @5.8

another ridiculus tennis affair, i mean only a mug and nobody else should back djoko @1.20

truly i beleive this is fifty fifty clash, who the hell is betting on tennis events at so low prices?

anyway, all proposals are useless, i am on murray to win with full my heart

but my bet involving is 50 euros only ( equal money to a couple of drinks in a night club)

cheers

Re: Tennis week 21.07./27.07.2008 (WTA + ATP)

about rafael nadal again

Gasquet @5.6 v Nadal @1.22

here is the chance for gasguet

i never fancy this player, and i will not upgrade him if he wins today,

but i strongly beleive he can do it, i beleive nadal is going to upset him by playing serve and volley, but the french guy has all the weapons to reply , if not that scenario, and evrything to be decided by baseline tennis, again gasquet has solutions against not so well moving nadal on hard surfaces

nadal, cant move very well imo, and this matter is still unsolved

good luck small stakes

Re: Tennis week 21.07./27.07.2008 (WTA + ATP)

well done andrew murray

eurovision hero is home, thnx very much andy

today

Nadal @1.22 v Murray @5.3

another false story, again muppet odds, probably people are confusing tennis with other sports, anyway,

i missed this clash twice so far, firstly in aussie open 2007 where andy commited suicide, lost after making tens of silly mistakes, secondly in recent wimbledon, where nadal dominated BUT.....

GRASS is very very friendly surface to nadal; is the second best surface for the spaniard after clay, actually, grass is the fast nephew of clay, and nadal can handle it very well

hard surfaces are totally different story though, rafael nadal never being expert, and still is not; he doesnt move comfortably here, and thats its obvious to every person with basic tennis knowledge

Murray is better player here, and thats for sure
what andy is lacking, is the game stamina, at his day he should destroy rafa

i hope today is his day

Murray @great 5.3

go go andy!
