Thanks for the - hopefully not misplaced - confidence, Kiko!
Truth be told, as I remarked midway through Wimbledon, this year's tourny was very much one which involved the changing of the guards(now, I must stress that in itself is no excuse for my poor performance, although the WC diverting my attention must be blamed too!

). On hindsight, I wish I had been proven wrong and it was simply a case of me making foolish bets that didn't come off(at least, had that been the case, it augurs well for the future), but I remain convinced some of the results we've seen this year would indeed signify the power shift in the years ahead.
I mean, let's be honest : who would have put their money on either Baghdatis, Nadal or Bjorkman(all of whom are either past it or whose grasscourt pedigree is unproven) making the semis? And who could have anticipated Roddick and Hewitt crashing out to opponents who, in years gone by, they'd have thrashed?
While my interest in this year's tourny has ended, it certainly hasn't stopped me from living the dream - and yes, Federer winning Wimbledon and France winning the World Cup would be nice.
