Exactly Nalbandian does have one of the best ever records in tennis of turning 0-2 in sets into victories, but given that he'd already saved match points in his first round match in similar circumstances I wasn't too confident he could repeat it.

Re: Australian Open 2007
Whats Murray mean by the last bit there
"It's amazing to kind of come to a tournament that's not at home and you feel like the crowd's for you almost," said the Scot.
"Obviously I'm not going to get that sort of support everywhere, but I think the support I get here is unbelievable and I'm very grateful for everyone that comes to support - it makes it much easier for you.
"I can't believe so many people enjoy watching me play because it's definitely not very interesting."

Re: Australian Open 2007
I think he means that you don't expect to get support when you're not playing in a home tournament. Rather than meaning that he doesn't get support at home, which it could probably be interpreted as (if you want to twist his words).

Re: Australian Open 2007
I'va had a small bet on Chela @ 3/1, he's in very good form, and beat Murray here last year very comfortably. Murray wasn't great in round 2 and this is much tougher.

Re: Australian Open 2007
Just layed Murray @ 1.13 whcih was a ridiculous price for him only being a break up in the first set.

Especially as he's not got a great serve.

Glad it was only a small bet, Murray 1 set and a double break up.

Re: Australian Open 2007
Nice call on Gonzo there Beanie
Made hard work of it mind and thought he was going to blowit 40-15 up on his serve serving for match when Hewitt came back to Deuce.

Re: Australian Open 2007
Hi Folks,
I aint that deep into this sport, but wached both Ancic and Roddick against Hrbaty and Safin. Both playing well and Ancic playing different that I know. I never saw him such agressive (imo his problem is to be too nice guy). I rate his technic and talent much more than Ljubicic's, but missing those cruelness and cheekness.
Roddick as far I know was never great out of USA when not having line referees on his side.
This two met 4 times with Roddick winning all of them. I wached two of them. Once in Wimbledon, where Ancic wasnt that bad but simple unexperienced and once in DAvis cup in the USA where Roddick had line folks all on his side, but wasnt that convincing.
I aint saying that Ancic is better than Roddick, but I will be on 3,65 offered on Ancic at B&W.

Re: Australian Open 2007
Yeah Roddick is perhaps a little short there so good luck johnny.
I've spied my next bet - Blake looks pretty big at over 1.50 against Gonzalez - Blake has been making short work of his opponents so far, not dropping a set, and I think he's probably got another gear should he need it. Gonzalez beat a pretty weak Lleyton Hewitt and didn't look as good as I thought he would, or should, and hasn't really imposed himself on any of his matches so far. Gonzalez should be the first to take a set from Blake, but no more.
Blake @ 1.56.

Re: Australian Open 2007
Any thoughts on Nadal 2/5 Murray 2/1 gents? You can get better than 2/1 on the exchanges btw.
Its on at the same time as the Blake game I believe around midnight.
EDIT - Those times are wrong

Re: Australian Open 2007
Brad Gilbert is right when he says that Andy's serve holds the key to the match. Murray is very hit and miss in terms of his service games - sometimes he's serving 70%+ on his first serve(v Chela), others its under 50%(v Martin).
It must be over 70% because Nadal is pretty good at holding serve - I notice his stat so far this year is 95% of service games won. That means that if Murray can engineer a break, and there's no doubt he has the groundstrokes to cause Nadal problems, he has to be able to consolidate it by being strong on his own serve. If his serve is fragile and there's lots of breaks, I don't think Murray will come out best.
So best way to approach this IMO is watch the first few games...if Murray is serving well then 2/1+ will be tempting. Its a decent time to be playing Nadal, but the Spaniard still looks a very worthy favourite.
