Haven't seen anything to put me off Rocca for the slalom - well maybe apart from Ligety's charge in the combined.
However, the slalom course will be a lot tougher and a lot more demanding that the easier combined slalom course, which should suit the in form Rocca, although in that respect it should also suit the consistent Benjamin Raich too.
Nevertheless, 3.50 at
Betfred looks good enough. Still a week to wait though.

Men's Super-G tomorrow, and it looks very tough to call. Maier is favourite, but its any one from about 15 or 20 skiiers. Laying Maiier is an idea - this really does look wide open, but I think I'll look towards value elsewhere.
The 3 that strike me as decent outside chances are:
Defago @ 36
Walchofer @ 18
Svindal @ 21
I think I'll remove Walchofer from that 3 and take the other 2.
Svindal is in good shape right now and had a very good run in the Downhill in the combined, as did Defago, and one of the two should be able to trouble the top few.
Top 3 odds for the pair might be interesting too, but the
Betfair market will need to liven up for that.
