Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

I wouldn't ruled that out, but Werder is quite similiar spoilers as Schalke atm imo

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

Bremen was the biggest dissapointment last week, and after last round I don't see any move at the top of the table.

1. Stuttgart (only miracle could make them losing champion title).
2. Schalke (the second place is not the same, but still give a chance to play in Champions League without qualification)
3. Bremen (even if they win, they will be punished for last week performance and 3th place is their maximum this season).

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

cheers monty.
Iīll read the news out but Bochum is a good option.

Maybe in a couple

over 2.5 goals Bremen
Bochum to win

Should be high odds for this couple here. With a medium stake .. itīll be a good final.

But I have to read at first...

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

rene tell me something about matc between Kaiserslautern II and Pfullendorf.
I'm thinking to go on Pfullendorf. They are not so bad away and they need points. On the other hand KaiserII is last without any chances to stay in league.

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

I am interested in 1860 today(regio south, starts in half hour)
1860 II Muenchen have played some good games lately and as their first team have not much to play for some strengthenings from first team are expected. German press is quite stingy with informations and club web site too.
But important thing is that fans will come in large number as they are quite related to old stadion where this game should be played. And it seems that next year they will put it down. Wehen is first in liga and I expect them to be more relexed. Odds are not great too, but with few strenghtenings from first team around 2,20 takable.

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

Wolfsburg - Bremen
Bremen looks better here. They didnīt lose the last 2 yearsī34th round. They shoot anywhere else more goals than at the Volkswagen Arena. 2-2-1 is their away balance in the last 5 away from home meetings. They can jump on the second place to be direct qualified for the Champions League if Schalke lose and they win versus Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg with much rumour. Sarpei and Klimowicz will leave the team and Coach Augenthaler havenīt a backed job these days. The season goal of Wolfsburg was an international place in ladder. Now theyīre only 3 points and 14 goals above the relegation area. 41 of 74 goals were shoot away by Bremen, they striked 19 times in the last 5 away meetings and received 8 goals in the same time.

- over 2.5 goals
- bremen to win

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

Gladbach - Bochum
Donīt understand the odds for Gladbach here. They played the worst football in bundesliga and earned the relegation really. They have much unrest in the team. Degen,Sonck and Thjis are intern suspended, 6 players are injured and Jansen gave the german Kicker an interview with the headline "the deduction with Gladbach". Also Ziege didnīt extended th contract with the 1st keeper Cassy Keller, and Degen will go to Celtic Glasgow.
Bochum played well. Theyīre the 4th best team in the last 10 rounds. Theyīre the second best team of the second half of these season. The top striker of Bochum Gekas shoot only 3 goals less than the whole Gladbach squad in this season. Gladbach will write history if they arenīt shoot 3 goals in the last round. Only Tasmania Berlin striked fewer than Gladbach in this season (only 20 goals).
Bochum with the better performance and the chance to have an Intertoto Cup place to qualify for the UEFA Cup.

- Bochum to win

Re: German Football - Final Weekend 19/20 May

The Championsship

Schalke 04
The german Championship is decided in my eyes. Schalke is without luck in the end of the season stumble in 2001 and also in 2005 and wasnīt the german champion. The same situation last weekend. They canīt be strong in the finish and lose all the time. Bielefeld isnīt bad at home and itīll not be an easy going for Schalke here.

VfB Stuttgart
Thatīs the new champion in my opinion. Stuttgart with the champions luck like bayern. They win versus Bochum last round 2-3 in a tight match and Keeper Hildebrand safed and impossible shoot in the 89th minute. Heīs one of the best players in this season in Stuttgart. Stuttgart face Cottbus at home. Stuttgart is the best away and also the best home team. Cottbus isnīt easy to play. Theyīre a compact team with a solid play of football. But imo Stuttgart is flying high and will not lose here.

Werder Bremen
Look above to my Wolfsburg-Bremen preview. Bremen parted the german football experts in this season. Iīm one of these who say that they played the best football and have the best technic-players in their squad. Theyīll turn on versus Wolfsburg and Schalke stumble versus Bielefeld. So that will be the 2nd place and direct Champs League for Bremen in the next season.

UEFA Cup

The german sport1.de wrote that Bayer Leverkusen get the UEFA Cups last and 5th place. But thatīs not right. Theyīre 3 points above Nuremberg but Nuremberg have the better goal balance. If Leverkusen lose versus stronger Dortmunds and Nuremberg win versus Hanoer 96 - the Hans Meyer Team is on the direct international place in the end. Bayern Munich is safed for the UEFA Cup in the next season. No other Team have the chance to enter this Cup directly.

Relegation

Aachen, Mainz and also Gladbach are relegated. Wolfsburg is 3 points and 14 goals abouve Aachen on place 15. But Aachen canīt shoot 14 goals in one match - Wolfsburg is safed - besides of they lose or win here.

.
That's false !

Nurnberg is already qualified for UEFA CUP cause they are going to play the CUP Final against VfB Stuttgart who are already qualified for Champions League so Nurnberg goes straight into UEFA Cup even if they are not on 5th Place.Leverkusen on the other hand is in UEFA CUP 100% for sure even if they lose and Nurnberg wins than the 6th place would become the second UEFA Cup spot in the table.
