Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
I'll forget the Barca lay then. Just the one Spanish one for me. I'm also gonna look at some of Johhnybgood's German stuff and lay some of what he opposes.

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
You're probably right, I'm sure it probably does work out better in the long run, but it's bloody annoying when you see the away team win at 3.1 when you've not backed them.
Anyway, I'll have a few more for you tomorrow, Sunday's the main Spanish football day. Santander and Getafe (Primera), Castellon and Tenerife (Segunda), Atletico Madrid B, Fuerteventura, Deportivo B and Real Madrid B (2ŞB 1), Talavera and Algeciras (2ŞB 4) are all on the short list for the moment. Will have a look tonight once the team news is around.

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
I'll be back then. I've taken one lay of Johny's (Wolfsburg at 2.6). Expecting two of the favs to be turned over out of two is a bit of a big ask but, as I say, it's the long term picture that counts.
Good luck

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
ODM, if you're online and see this in time (although it's in-running too in any case), I think the price on Barcelona has got ridiculously low now, I wouldn't put you off laying them now. Valencia have been poor this season, but Barcelona's away form isn't exactly great either, it all depends on which version of each side turns up. The price on Valencia is too good to resist now, it's a stupid price for a home side who are in bad form, but are still a good side, so I'm backing them with a view to maybe laying later in the game if I get the chance.
Valencia @ 4.6 4pts

Erm, can I take that back? Valencia so far have been fucking awful, they should be 3 down already.

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
If they carry on like this it's going to be a rout. Madrid won here 5-1 earlier in the season, if Barcelona fancy going for it here, they could easily match that - send out a message to Madrid ahead of the big game next week. At the risk of looking like I'm chasing losses, I'm going with Barca on the -3 handicap, because there's really only one team in this, and Valencia are looking worse than in their last home game against Bilbao.

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
Two for me for tomorrow at the moment, Real Madrid B (2ŞB grp 1) and Denia (2ŞB grp 3).
Real Madrid B are on a run of 5 straight wins, scoring 15 goals in the process, and have got themselves to within sight of the play-off places. Marino are 16th out of 20, and have only pulled clear of the relegation zone thanks to a 4 game unbeaten run, with wins at home to the teams in 18th and 19th, and more impressively, draws away to the top 2 sides. Having said that, the top side, Deportivo B, are on a run of 1 win in 5, and 2nd placed Pajara Playas have drawn as many as they've won at home. Here, Marino are coming up against a side that's hit top form, and I fancy Madrid to extend their winning run here.
Marino v Real Madrid B @ 2.6 4pts (watch as ODM now lays Marino, and the game finishes as a draw )
Denia took just 6 points (all draws) from their first 11 games, scoring only 5 goals in the process. Since then, they've gone on a run of 5 straight wins, all to nil, scoring 8 goals in the process. That run's seen them up into 11th, 5 places and 3 points above their opponents tomorrow Sabadell. After 2 wins in their first 3 games, Sabadell are now on a run of just 1 win in their last 13, and that was against the bottom side. In fairness to them, though, they've also only lost 3 of those games, with 9 draws. For this game, I'd say laying Sabadell is definitely the safer bet, but due to a lack of funds at the moment in my Betfair account, it's not an option open to me, so I'll chance the away win outright.
Sabadell v Denia @ 2.6 4pts

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
FFS, just seen the Cordoba v Albacete game was actually abandoned in the 2nd minute of stoppage time. The rules with Sporting Odds state that:
Quote:
|
All bets will be void on matches that are abandoned before the completion of 90 Minutes' Play, unless otherwise stated or the bet has already been settled.
|
Could they not have abandoned it 3 minutes earlier

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
Don't like to rub salt in the wound mate but Betfair have paid me out for my lay in the Cordoba game
I've just gone to lay Marino and the market is suspended. I wonder if the game's been called off?
...and the Sabadell game, and several others on the continent.
Have they had a snow storm or something

Re: Spanish football (Dec 15-16)
Well it makes sense that yours would be settled as a winner, assuming Betfair use the same rules about 90 minutes play.
No idea why Betfair have got those matches suspended. Can't tell you what the weather's like in Asturias (for Marino) or Barcelona (for Sabadell), but here in Madrid it's bright blue skies and sunshine, although it's cold. The fact they're also showing matches in Madrid suspended (Atletico B, Alcorcon, SS Reyes were the ones I checked) when there's no way they should be off given the weather here in Madrid makes me think it's just some generic thing that for some reason they've suspended everything for the time being. Nothing on the forums that I can see, and if the Real Madrid B game was off, I expect it'd be on the Real Madrid website and it's not.
You've got plenty of time anyway, they're 4pm kick-offs UK time.
