Ready for a new round in Norway, after a lot of strange results on sunday.
Molde - Brann
Molde with a nice win over Rosenborg away last. Played well and can thank their goalkeeper J.A.Larsen for all three points. Produced some chances on counter attack. M.Mavric will miss this game, and important P.Rudi is doubtfull.
Brann played well and won against Vålerenga. This means that Brann has had an excellent start to the season with two wins and two draws so far. In the last match away from home they won 1-0 at Start, which was a bit lucky considering Start`s big chances towards the end of the second half. Brann has no new injuries, and central defender Olafur Ørn Bjarnason is back in the squad again after sitting out against Vålerenga.
Have a feeling that Brann could win, after what i have seen so far this season. Over is anither possibel bet.
HamKam - Lillestrøm
HK played well against Tromsø away. Got three penaltys, and scored on two of them. Have won their two last games, and are normally a strong home team. R.Buer Johansen is suspended.
Lillestrøm without any games lost. Won their last two. Koren in good form on the midfield, and scored a nice goal against Fredrikstad. No injury problems. Think X2 and under might be the best bet.
Start - Fredrikstad
Start scored their first goals and took their first victory away against Viking. Started with a hole new attacking line, since three players returned after injury. No new injury problems, but B.Lunde Aarsheim is suspended. K.Hæstad and T.Jónsson haven't been training this last days, but both should start tomorrow.
Fredrikstad with two straight lost. Haven't played well latly and will miss R.Kvisvik in thsi match.
Start is favourits and should win with Valencia, Bala Garba and T.Jonsson back on top.
Sandefjord - Lyn
Sandefjord didn't have any chance against Odd, and lost 1-3. Have won their two first games at home, and its there they are supposed to take their points. Plays good at home, pressing their opponents high on the field.
Lyn started well home against Stabæk. Scored and had full controll, before S.Lustu got red card, and Stabæk scored. Contiuned to play well with one man down. 15 minutes before end, the refery gave Stabæk a penalty, and K.Flittie Onstad red card. Stabæk scored, and playing 11 against 9, Stabæk managed to score two more goals. So for this game Lyn have some problems in defence. S.Lustu and K.Flittie Onstad is suspended(both central defenders). T.Berntsen has a injury, also H.Dahl(both defenders) are missing. So four defenders out, and no good central defenders are availabel for tomorrow. The team will not be given to anybody before 1.5 hour before the match. But it might be attacker M.Powell and midfielder S.Gislasson that will play defences tomorrow.
Think Sandefjord should be favorites considering the problems Lyn will have in their defence.
Here are another preview from a norweagian site:
Sport: Fotball
Liga/konkurranse: NOR Tippeligaen
Kamp/item: Sandefjord - Lyn
Utfall: Sandefjord wins
Odds: 2.85
Bookmaker:
Betway
Frist: Wednesday 3rd of May, 19:00
Innsats: 2/10 units
Im placing this bet mainly because of Lyns defensive problems. From earlier central defender Tommy Berntsen is out, and on Sunday both central defenders got sent off. Steven Lustu got a direct red card, while Kristian Flittie Onstad got two yellow cards. So none of Lyns three best central defenders are likely to play here. There are rumours that Lyn might appeal Onstads second card to the Federation, but in any case Lustu or Berntsen wont play. So this gives Lyn a major disadvantage.
Sandefjord lost 1-3 at Odd yesterday, but theyve been a completely different team at home than away. Theyve shown spirit and a burning passion for their club, and won two straight. Not against the best of teams, but with confidence and a weakened defence they can beat Lyn too. No new injuries for Sandefjord after last nights match as far as I can see.
Not too many bookies are offering odds yet, but
Betway are a bit too high with their home-odds I think. I give Sandefjord at least 40% chance of victory here, which means the odds are playable down to 2.50. PlayIT offers 2.75, while Nordicbet has 2.65, and
Victor Chandler 2.60.
More team news later, I just had to jump at this odds, since I think it will go down the next few days.
Vålerenga - Viking
Vålerenga has had a horrible start to the season. Two goals scored in four matches, and two points. This is hard for the reigning champion. On Sunday they lost 1-3 against Brann, a result which was fully deserved. They didnt create a single chance, the goal was a cross gone wrong. Fullback Allan Jepsen has scored both their goals so far, the first was when he bended a corner straight into the goal, and the second was this cross against Brann. Vålerenga are struggling with their strikers, and I see no signs that this is getting better anytime soon. Striker Tore Andre Flo might play in this one, but I doubt that he can better things for the team. Defender Ronny Johnsen is out, while defensive midfielder Thomas Holm is doubtful after he got injured at Brann.
Viking lost 1-2 at home to Start on Saturday. They started well, and had quite a few chances, including the one that gave them the lead. But Start took over, and they scored the winner on a contraversial penalty just before the match was over. Positive for Viking that striker Alexander Ødegaard got his first goal of the season. Viking lost their last away-match 1-3 at Lillestrøm, where they got fullback Fredrik Lundquist sent off after 29 minutes. Hes back here, and he will push Jørgen Tengesdal out of the team. Otherwise no changes after the loss to Start.
Two teams that has started really bad, and cant understand why the odds are so low on Vålerenga. Odds on about 4.00 is interesting. A risky 2 for me.
Tromsø - Odd
Tromsø went on their 4. loss on sunday. Have never started so bad and there are already some that wants a new coach. Creats a lot of chances but haven't managed to score enough goals to win so far. Goalkeeper Kenny Stamatopolous is suspended.
Odd won their first game on sunday. Odd was the best team, and could have won more. The first two away games have both ended with a draw. No injury problems.
Hard game to predict, Tromsø should soon score on their chances, and Odd is in good form, and have won here three of four last meetings here. No bet.
Stabæk - Rosenborg on thursday.
Bets: Brann X2 +over
Lillestrøm X2
Start 1
Sandefjord 1
Viking 2
Good luck!
