France 9 Apr
2008-04-09 St. Etienne (-0,25) - Lens by: Kuki
Janot is suspended for St. Etienne but otherwise Laurent Roussey has all his players available for tonight´s encounter. L. Remy and Bisevac are out injured for Lens. St. Etienne are in good form and especially at their own Geoffroy-Guichard they have a proud record to defend. They were beaten only once all season and conceded only 4 goals. On Saturday they went a goal down but came back to thrash Le Mans 4-1. 3 points here will lift them to 5th in the table. Lens on the other hand are playing a poor season. Hard to imagine that anyone expected them to be that close to relegation as they are. They demonstrated how good they can be when losing the French Cup final a bit against the run of play 10 days ago. But last Saturday they once again underachieved and were unable to register 3 desperately needed points at home against already relegated Metz allowing the visitors to steal a point late in the game. Lens are 0-5-3 in their last league matches and confidence is low of course. They have a lot to play for tonight but to win in St. Etienne is a big ask for a team which seems to be out of sorts. A draw can´t be excluded here and consequently I recommend the "safer" option (-0,25). Decent Odds! Medium stake!
