Re: Turkish Cup 07-05-2008

Lets look at the history of cup firstly.

The records are still covered by Galatatasaray who won 19 times this competition.so kinda hard beat the record for others actually. [html]Teams
Code:

HTML Code:
# Teams Final Cup
# ----------- ----- ----
# Galatasaray 19 14
# Beşiktaş 13 7
# Trabzonspor 12 7
# Fenerbahçe 11 4
# Altay 7 2
# Ankaragücü 5 2
# Bursaspor 4 1
# Gençlerbirliği 4 2
# Göztepe 3 2
# Eskişehirspor 3 1
# Kocaelispor 2 2
# Sakaryaspor 1 1
# Adana Demirspor 1 -
# Boluspor 1 -
# Mersin İdmanyurdu 1 -
# Samsunspor 1 -
# Antalyaspor 1 -
# K.Erciyesspor 1 -
# u can see above the cup winners and final participants so far.Current finalist Genclerbirligi has much more experience on Final games and also they have reached to win Cup 2 times in 4 final games. But we cant compare th past and current Genclerbirligi. At those days they were horrible dreams of big guns in the league but saving themselves from relegation in last 2 weeks shows their current situation.

Kayserispor was a bit disappoint this year for everyone.Me and other were expecting them much more than current and after getting bad result at the first part of the season nothing left them to do but play for respectability.

At the weekend Genclerbirligi had a tight squezee vs Fenerbahce in Istanbul and they had to play with their full powers during 90 minute coz they need at least one point to save themselves. And they did whatever they could. But Vestel losing at home vs already relegated sive Kasimpasa saved 'em on the edge.I am almost sure they r still in lethargy
of this and feeling tired 'emselves.

Kayseri saved their main powers in fact. They even saved their bench's power to fight for the cp but even this was enough to beat Bursa at their home. This is kinda positive handicap for them and i am sure that they will take advantage of it.

One more thing guides me to take Kaysei win the cup that Bursa teams and fans are in relationship another capital city team Ankaragucu. And Genclerbirligi is their biggest opponent in Turkey and the matches between of these two count as another derby or Capital city rivalrity. Therefore we shall see Bursa fans at the stands while supporting Kayserispor

All in all, all the possibilities and factors that i count above are suggesting me Kayserispor's victory here. But i dont want effect any one for taking their victory blindly. All we saw so far such games ending straight draws when we had confidence about the games. But this time there is big possibility that the cup will find its holder within 90 minutes and if you ask me it will be Red-Yellow side Kayseri

Re: Turkish Cup 07-05-2008

Btw i just read that Traore wont be able to play for Gnclerbirligi and if u ask me huge blow for 'em.For Kayserispor eperienced striker Gokhan Unal will miss this game too probably due to injury hit. but i believe Mehmet Topuz ad others will do their job well

possible lineups are below:

KAYSERİSPOR : Ivankov ; Ali Turan ; Aydın ;Toledo ; Kemal ;Saidou ;Koray ; Mehmet Topuz ;Mehmet Eren ;Cangele ;Iglesias

GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ : Peric ; Erkan ; El Saka ;Tuna ;Addo ;Ergün ;Mehmet Nas ;Kerem ;Engin ;Mehmet Çakır ;Kahe

totals as over possible also.Kayseir with this lineup should be able to score at least twice.

Traore really big blow i am not kidding.i also read like that in their fan forums.

Aye blame me Altay I must have missed that one.

18:00 Genclerbirligi (3.7) Draw (3.2) Kayserispor (2.2)

Kayserispor backed in from 2.3 to 2.0 with bet365. Looks like any value there might have been for the away has been squeezed out of it for me Altay. No bet for me all in and good luck if you do take something Altay
