Re: 24-27th July: Ireland

Dundalk at home to Monaghan tonight in a north-east derby. IMO Dundalk not in the best of form lately. Fortunate to come away with a scoreless draw at Shels last Friday but should be good enough to beat a Monaghan side that have only scored 9 and conceded 30 so far this season.
Dundalk missing two players through injury - their captain and a striker.
Monaghan missing one player, Darren Meenan, through suspension.

Its Dundalk HT/FT for me @10/11 with Boyles

Good call Wexford Bhoy. Easy 3-0 win for Dundalk.

Bohemians(-1.0) V Bray @1.80: Bohs are on a good run winning 5 of their last 6 while UCD haven't won in 8 games (including getting knocked out of both cups by 1st Division sides.) The home side won this fixture 2-0 last season and although it should be a tough game for them this evening considering how solid UCD are at the back I'm hoping we will see a similar scoreline this evening. Jason Byrne is fit and raring to go so hopefully we'll see him at some stage. UCD have a load of injuries and Mahon has said he will play some of the kids this evening. I will also be on UCD not to score @8/13

Shamrock Rovers V Sligo. I'm gonna lay Shamrock Rovers @2.12. They've struggled against Sligo in recent seasons in the league and although their form has been ok of late it hasn't been anything too special. Sligo despite their financial woes are proving a very hard team to beat and I think they could be good enough to get something from this match.

Limerick V Wexford Youths @1.61: Can't see anything other thana Limerick win here. No handicap or half time betting here. Just give me a plain old fashioned straight win at shitty odds please.

Verdict:
Bohs -1.0 @1.8
UCD not to score @8/13
Lay Shamrock Rovers @2.12
Limerick @1.61

That Bohs(-1.0) is asian handicap price by the way komp. They're available at well over vens if you're brave enough to go for the straight(-1) bet.

Re: 24-27th July: Ireland

only one today from me...

Derry -0.5 @ 1.95 (5u)
not much to say about team news that hasn't been posted by kaladon, but although galway have been improving defensively of late, they have been marginally lucky on at least the last 2 occasions. against both sligo and bray, they start very average/poor and soak alot of pressure with very little and sporadic counters. both sligo and bray had their fair share of good opportunities to see off galway and both lost points due to poor finishing.
derry have been very hot and cold all season, beating drogheda on the road one game and losing to bray in another, had arguably one of their most creative players missing most the season then joining celtic when fit again, they seemed to be dealt a big blow it may seem. but they have picked themselves up and since the cup win against a weakened bohs in the cup, they have started to play a newish formation that has seen them dominate games in attack. they have some very pacey wingers that can go past players, and create alot of chances and options in the final third. vs bray this is exactly what happened, and vs bohs, they weathered early bohs pressure for the first 20-25mins and started to get into the game with their new system which switches from a 451 to 442 during the course of the game and had many a chance to polish off bohs but for poor finishing albeit against 10 men on the hour mark.

to summarise, derry have found form, formation and balance that has eluded them all season, and if they stick to this system and endorse the old "if it aint broke, don't fix it" quote, they will begin a consistent run and turn their many chances to goals before long.
galway are very slow starters and with still minimal defensive options, you'd expect 40 yr old kenna to start right back once again, and today he can call upon all his experience he wants cos he will need it all today to keep up with mcglynn down the left.

Re: 24-27th July: Ireland

red hot limerick host poor wexford and anything but their easy win would surprise me, they have 4 straight wins with 10:0 score. and beat wexford at home in all 3 matches with aggregate 10:0... up to 1.6

shels should beat away struggling kildare at 1.65, kildare are very poor team. shels a bit out of sync 5 without win but had hard games recently.

shamrock vs sligo under at 1.62, both play defensively, not an easy evening for shamrock i think.
