I'm amazed at how much information you've managed to source Komp, great stuff and goodluck with your punts .

Thanks to all our friends from Australia, what a fantastic response to our questions .

Cheers Daik. It was easy really. I just like to read about shite football as i eat. Im a fat bastard

Can anyone confirm ko for tonight? I thought it was 22.00hrs but i cant see how that would work as im sure west Australia is only 8hrs in front. By my reckoning it should be about 7am our time tomorrow morning.

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

All matches K.O at 22.00 Komp according to Bet365. I was tempted by the Perth/Inglewood double, but nah.

I'm going with Geordies insider information, and backing Joondalup. They've got to be absolute value @ 2.37 with those players coming back.

Unfortunately it's incredibly small stakes as Bet365 don't seem to have forgiven me for last season .

Good luck folks.

What when you tried to rip them off Daik?

Im glad youve take Joondalup Daik as your ok at picking a nice value home and i'd love to see Geordies team winning.

Im still a bit uncertain by this time for ko Daik.

Ive just checked and its 3.28am in perth. Theyre never gonna kick off at 5am Maybe its that time as folks have to go to work afterwards.

Ill go see what time their time.

WEEKEND IN PREVIEW

Perth S.C. are expected to stretch their unbeaten start to the season to eight games when they take on bottom side Fremantle City at Dorrien Gardens this weekend. It’s difficult to see the game at Percy Doyle Reserve between Sorrento and Bayswater City ending in anything other than a home win, while Inglewood United host a confident Stirling Lions. Floreat Athena are up against the might of the Western Knights, while Cockburn City make the trip north where they meet E.C.U. Joondalup. Armadale head to the Swan Valley for the first time to play a Swan I.C. side in desperate need of points.

Queens Park have the daunting task of hosting unbeaten First Division leader Wanneroo City, while second placed Balcatta return from a weeks absence with an away date at Bassendean Caledonian. Rockingham City are on the road to Kingsw ay Olympic, and Forrestfield United make the long journey to Bunbury where they meet South West Phoenix. Peelwood Parade is the venue for Mandurah City against Gosnells City. Canning City have home ground advantage over Dianella White Eagles, and bottom side Stirling Suns take on Morley Windmills. Out of action with the bye are Ashfield.

Nah Komp, I only started punting last January and Bet365 were my main account. I had incredibly fluky beginners luck, no staking plan, but did manage to rip them for a tidy amount. Twas a sad ending though as I just ended up giving it to other assorted bookies

This season I used a staking plan, slower gains, but they were steady .

Your more than likely right about the Perth/Sorrento double it's just I'm a single's man meself.

If I was allowed to stake properly I'd back Joondalup with 2 units, small stakes until I get a feel for the league.

well, it would be rude not to follow the good Geordie's boys this week. Its hard to know whats what and I havent fully grasped the whole league system yet. But... Joondalup single and possibly perth single. I know its nailed on but the odds are bobbins.

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

I'd like too Funkt but im a little concered about how i liked Cockburn to start with (oooer) After reading up a bit on Joondalup purely to be backing against them i saw that they had been unlucky and i always like a type team that can do anyone on ther day when on their game. I just have this awful feeling that it aint gonna be Joondalup's week till next week and onwards and then they could go on a wee roll once they get going.

Heres a good site to get you going on Western Australian football-

I'm gonna phone up that radio phone in show for next week need to get our questions in before Wednesday about 10am.

Just looking at the pictures of the Joondalup team. Have a guess who's the new boy?

Aye Komp Daniel Wilson's doing a fantastic impression of a milk bottle

Wouldn't mess with Ryan Newhill mind, looks like the captain to me.

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

Just a modest treble this week on some short priced teams

Perth, Adelaide Galaxy and Adelaide Olympic

All 3 looked nailed on to me. Don't want to get in too deep too early

Good luck everyone who is taking the plunge

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

Aye cheers Matty. How many Adelaide teams are there Matty? Ones actually called Adelaide ?????. I picked up something about one of them but forget what. I'll have a look when i see my coupon again but i never look at my coupon after ive put it on as im superstitious that way

Aye i feel confident tonight. I know its my first week but i think we've had enough info to see that my selections should be a bit of value (Wanneroo, Morley) and i cant see past Perth. Ive been a bit up and down over sorrento and thats my only slight worry. I was on them big i was on them small i was on them big i wasnt on them at all etc etc.

Ive been looking into Mandurah and i aint as confident as i was when i backed them but .

Ok im gonna start doing a weekly komp treble irrespective of what i actually back as i like to have a few extra bets but my treble will be my 3 strongest selections. All odds will be with Hills.

28/5/05 Treble
Perth @ 1/3
Wanneroo @ 4/5
Morley @ 4/5

I'll have fixed stakes of a tenner. Feel free to join me in my bet or get your own Aussie treble each week.

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

15.00hrs their time which is 8am our time or about 2am Komptime. Looks like a long night then. Bet you the bookies will take all day to pay it out especially the ones in my local hills as they even give me a scowl when i ask them to phone up for a price for me. And their wary of me now after i got away with that Oldham Derby Match bet and my pal told them as he's married to the manager

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

All you guys will be in bed now. But hopefully the guys who put their money on Joondalupo we can get you over the line. It looks like our next 2 league games are postponed as we have 4 first team players in the state under 18 side that is going to Singapore for a tournament. The best bets this week are Perth, they will batter Freo and Wanneroo. Good look and keep it hot.

Re: Australian Football - 28th May 2005

Thanks Geordie your a star. I will do to Geordie as i'm desperate to see the outcome of all the games. Gonna take your tipster league by storm

So you know where to come folks for the quickest and fastest and most detailed results for the Australian Western Premier THE DAILY PUNT's WORLD FAMOUS AUSSIE THREAD.

That wee break aint gonna do us guys any good and it wont be doing your players much good either Geordie. I presume you'll be wanting to play as many games as you can whilst your slowly coming to the boil. Heard talk about the W Knights fans getting all bitter as thats 2 games v you they have to play midweek before the 9th July. should be 2 big games (listen to me as if ive been brought up with Western Football )

Aye well its good fun and im enjoying myself. I'll phone you in under 5 hours Geordie but i doubt you'll be able to understand me. Fcuk can TDP reinburse me for the call as phoning a mobile is something i dont do due to cost never mind phoning one in Australia. Needs must though as we ARE the 'offical' UK gambling forum for the Western Australian leagues. If you wanna know anything Western then you come to TDP.

Good luck one and all.
