Wow, a thread named especially for me. I'm touched :drums.

I'll have a proper look at the league tomorrow or maybe Friday, but at first glance I'd pick out Gimnastic, Huelva, Murcia, Elche, Almeria and Tenerife as possibles.

Re: RC's Spain Segunda 12/13th Nov

OK, some thoughts on a couple of Saturday's games - I'll leave Sunday's games for later (or just ignore them altogether and hope this thread slides away down the board in the event that Saturday's predictions go wrong )

Gimnastic v Lleida

Gimnastic have started hitting a bit of form the past couple of weeks, with a 4-1 win away to mid-table Albacete and a 3-1 win at home to 3rd placed Murcia Real in their last two games. Lleida are 1-0-5 for their last 6 games, 0-1-4 for their 5 away games this season, and had a tough game in the Cup at home to Getafe on Thursday (ended up losing 4-2 after extra time), whereas Gimnastic are already out of the Cup so have had a week off.

Prediction - Gimnastic (-0.5) at evens (Bet 365)

Huelva v Albacete

This one certainly looked like a home win on paper. Huelva are 2nd in the league, 4-1-0 at home this season, and 5-1-0 in their last 6 games. Albacete are 13th, 1-2-2 away from home and 3-0-3 for their last 6 games (although they've actually lost 3 of their last 4, their only win in that time being at home to Lleida, who, as mentioned above, are not too good away from home), and their last game was a 4-1 tanking at home to Gimnastic. Also quite like the look of overs in this game - Huelva's last 6 games have produced 18 goals, Albacete's last 6 have produced 17 goals. However, having said all that, it seems Huelva have got 6 players out and another one doubtful. Four of those played in their last game. Maybe doesn't look so good for them, so will avoid this. Mind you (he says, changing his mind again ), reading the report of Albacete's last game, Marca says that they were "wretched in defence, lazy in their attitude, inoperative in attack and dreadful at set pieces". Doesn't sound like they played very well then . No, think I'll avoid this one anyway.

Right, I on this league. I don't think I've even come close on a prediction so far. I'm sticking to the English League One .

Re: RC's Spain Segunda 12/13th Nov

Just noticed that Real Madrid B have won 4-0 with Soldado scoring a couple. Given the current league positions this looks like a shock result with Real 19th and Elche 5th going into today's fixures. Anyone know where to find a teamsheet for today's game as I can't seem to find one. Also anyone know whether Real make a habit of sending first team squad players to the B team at an international weekend just to give them a game?

Re: RC's Spain Segunda 12/13th Nov

Frodo, the team was:

Cobeño; Palencia, Arbeloa, Robles, Filipe; Balboa, Jotha (Borja Valero, m.82), De la Red (Javi García, m.73), Adrian Martín; Jurado (Barral, m.79) y Soldado.

Not sure about this, but at a guess I'd say it's more a case of Soldado being a regular Real Madrid B player who just happens to have made it into the first team recently due to the injuries they've had. Could be wrong though. Believe that Balboa and Borja have also recently made it into the main Real Madrid squad.
