Re: Australian League 26/1

A important clash for both teams. The victors will spend the weekend hope other results go their way for a place in the Hyundai A-League finals series.
If the Jets win, they have the opportunity to clinch second place if Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory do them favours in their respective ties.
Queensland Roar victory will be in the playoff hunt only if Melbourne manages to take points off the Central Coast Mariners in Friday's game.
Newcastle gives late fitness tests to combative midfielder Richard Johnson (hamstring) and defender Mateo Corbo (groin) before manager Richard Money names his squad but both players are expected to feature.
Queensland's 17-year-old sensation David Williams will miss the game as one of only three Hyundai A-League players to be called up by National coach Ange Postecoglou to the under-20s get-together.
Newcastle Jets manager Richard Money:
"I know that we've performed reasonably well lately particularly in the last three games but I still think we're a long way from playing the way we want to play. We've been preparing ourselves for this period mainly because it is the toughest period for all of the teams in the league. Queensland will not come here for anything less then a win so we know that we're in for another tough battle against a very desperate opposition."
Queensland Roar coach Miron Bleiberg:
"We know that we must win but maybe Newcastle can relax a little because they might be satisfied with a point. It'll be a game between youth and experience, Queensland with the youth and Newcastle with plenty of experience. I know that Newcastle has a chance to get second spot and we have a small chance of making the finals, so it should be a great game of football for the fans.

Newcastle –1/2 (5/10)

Unlucky there Prinze. I know how you feel, I tipped Espanyol in Spain at the weekend, and they lost 5-0 too. Hope you get out of your bad streak soon.
