Re: Italy1/2 May

Genoa- Verona home win @1.34

Genoa and Napoli fight for the 2nd place. It will be an head to head run till the last round when they will meet in Genova.Genoa, which is now 3rd, has 8 points more than Rimini. If at the end of the season there will be 10 or more points from 3rd to 4th spot, there wont be playoffs. So Genoa has a double boost to win. At home they are the stongest team in serie B and trash each opponent. Verona isn't in good form so it will be easy home win for Genoa.
Is somebody can confirm this information for not playing playoff because I heard for that few weeks ago?

Bari looks good for me coz without cacia Piace in a big trouble , Napoli in a good form , they will make an easy game at home , no chance for albinolleffe

I dont think is it the right time to take Bari..They have 4 player susp.and if i correct remember they have some inj. too..Piacenza have a play of chance, but they play not good in away games..But i am on Piacenza(0),and small stakes on Piacenza

Re: Italy1/2 May

Genoa - Hellas Verona

Genoa host Verona at Marassi. The 'Grifoni', curently in the 3rd place of the table will try and get the victory that could make them gain a solitary 2nd place, waiting for tonight match of Napoli.
On the other hand we have a side very motivated as well: Hellas Verona. The guests are stuck in the bottom part of the table and although their situation is surely better than a month ago they still need some points to secure them a place in Serie B 2007/2008.

Looking at the strenght and the form the verdict seems to be only one and I have to agree with that: Verona will have to spend lot of sweat to grab something today, but I think other things has to be considered here.

First of all I'd like to correct bulit who said 'Verona is not in good form'.
It's true: the 'Scaligeri' come frome two losses in a row, but we must consider they played away at Bologna and last weekend hosted Juve at Bentegodi. Before these (hardest) games and after Mr. Ventura has taken the place of Ficcadenti managed to achieve an incredible string of positive results, and for several weeks Hellas have been one of the most in-form sides of the league.

IMHO this is one key to read today's game.
Is the 'magic touch' of Ventura gone? I simply can't believe it and consequentially I can't see a stroll in the park for the home team (although it would not surprise me at all).
The recent tradition shows many balanced games; Verona performs better hon the road (as it often happened in the past seasons under Ficcadenti's management); also the game at Marassi is always a particular one because both Genoa and Verona played it many times in Serie A in their (more or less) glorious past.

For the upcoming game Verona will miss the forward Iunco. I always liked him (since I could appreciate his performance at the Mediterranean Games a few years ago), but he lacks discipline, so he sometimes becomes a sort of timebomb.
Verona will halso have to do without their long-term injuerd players, but I think the only Guarente could be a blow.
Genoa won't have any particular absences.

In conclusion I believe the HW is the most probable outcome, but I don't like odds on Genoa, even if they are quite unstoppable on their ground. I do expect an open game and a fighting mood of Verona. I don't know if it will be enough to get a point, but I feel it will allow us to see some goals.
So my pick is 2-3 goals @1,95 (Expekt - italian site). A pick that suit both the scenarios we could see today: the one I already have depicted and Genoa thrashing Verona (bad but not unlikely).
Medium-High stakes for me.

Re: Italy1/2 May

Today I can't find anything good. All is "should be' but nothing really good so I will skip Italian today. For low stake:
Vicenca draw
Pescara under
Rimini Home win.

Re: Italy1/2 May

three games i'm interested in for today.

Arezzo - Cesena. Arezzo is fighting and is fighting hard. they are in better form lately and, mostly, they are more motivated. HW around 2,20 is ok IMO.

Pescara - Spezia. i still don't understand why Spezia is the favourite here. May be cause they won at Crotone three days ago?Maybe...Except if books think that Pescara gave up. I don't know if Pescara gave up but if they did why they fight the game against Rimini which is much better team than Crotone? And anyway, if there is still a chance for Pescara, this is the right time to show it. She plays two important games at home against Spezia and Crotone and she MUST win both. Odds around 3,00 for HW is ok for me

Triestina - Lecce. OK. if anyone knows that this is a game fixed for draw let say it now. If not (which i think), i ll run to take the odds around 4,00 on Lecce. Lecce is in crazy form and if there was some more round i am quite sure that they would manage to achieve a play off position. Odds around 4,00 is a gift for me.

These three games have value odds IMO which means that even if i lose i won't blame my self (again) for stupid bet this time GL all
