Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

dunno much about this league,
but i can see Brondby is desperate for 3 points here because
Copenhagen FC is 2 points above and missing 1 game..
Brondby's home record suggests this win also.
AB Aalborg has 3 wins and 3 draws away this season which is not so good,
plus,i can't see any reason for motivation on their side.
has already avoided relegation and no chance for a ticket to europe...
all in once, straight home win in my opinion...

Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

CET 13:15 Silkeborg v FC Midtjylland

Silkeborg coach Viggo Jensen has elected the same 17 players, who played against Esbjerg last weekend, for tomorrows match against FC Midtjylland.
Thomas Poulsen is still not 100 per cent fit and will not participate in tomorrows match along with Anders Veller.

FC Midtjylland's Leon Jessen will miss tomorrows match due to injury. Besides that, Søren Skriver, Nicolai Jørgensen and Ulrik Lindkvist will be missing.

CET 15:00 Viborg v OB

Defender Thomas Andie is ready again for action and is in Viborg coach Ove Christensen's squad for tomorrow. Christian Magleby and David Rasmussen are still injured.

OB is boosted by the returns of Nikolai Stokholm and Martin Borre. The new signing, Anders Jochumsen, is also included in the squad. OB have to do without the services of Bobo Bouden, Morten Fevang and Mwape Miti.

CET 15:00 FC Nordsjælland v AGF

FC Nordsjælland do still suffer from a lot of injuries. For tomorrows match they'll have to do without Stephan Petersen, Søren Krogh, Anders Alding, Henrik Eggerts, Kris Stadsgaard, Joseph Kamwendo and Anders Due. Allan Olesen incurred a injury during training at Saturday and is a doubt for tomorrow.

AGF have really been hit by injury-troubles. For tomorrows match they'll miss 11 players: Anders Kure, Richard Henriksson, Jimmy Høyer, Thomas Lindrup, Navid Dayyani, Martin Mikkelsen, Tobias Grahn, Mads Frost, Kristian Kaagh, Peter Foldgast and Danilo Arrieta. Besides that, Cheikh Sarr is a doubt, but is expected to play. The many absentees have forced coach Ove Pedersen to include the two youngsters Fredrik Krabbe and Michael Lumb in his squad.

CET 15:00 AC Horsens v SønderjyskE

Horsens doesn't have any missings for tomorrows match, therefore coach Kent Nielsen have selected the same players as last weekend.

SønderjyskE doesn't have any missings either, the only change is, that Jacob Gregersen is back into the squad after a one day suspension.

CET 17:30 FC København v Esbjerg

FC København have to do without the service of defender Andre Bergdølmo for the match against Esbjerg. Thomas Røll will not play either. Marcus Allbäck return to the squad.

Esbjerg is still without Lars Winde and Nicolai Høgh. Niki Zimling is back after suspension, while Lars Christian Nielsen have had some problems during the week, but is expected to be fit.

Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

I will focus on the games from norway. Remember, first round is always with surprises, so keep u stakes low!!

Ham Kam - Viking
Home team with two new coaches, Grodås (ex. Chelsea keeper if someone remember him) and Tjærnås. They are replacing Solbakken( to København) have a big job infront of them. Ham Kam sold a lot important players, so the new foreign and for me unkown players have to do a good job.(Pasoja, Cooreman and Nikolov)
Viking with new coach, Prahl. Have Lost 13 players from last season and got a lot of new players, Soma(DF), Abelsson(DF), Lundquist(DF) and Ødegård (F). Hard to predicte how they will do, can beat everybody, and loose to everybody.

Think Viking has the best team, but HamKam is good home. A low scoring game, and draw might be the best option.

Molde- Tromsø
New coach, Stavrum, first time he trains someone on this level. Has a good team, and normally strong at home.
Tromsø, also new coach this season, Nordmark. One of the weakest away teams in Norway. Sold two of their best players since last year, Hirschfeld and Essidiri.
Molde should be favourites, but Tromsø can get a point.

Stabæk - Sandefjord
Both teams are new in this league this year. Stabæk played here last for two years ago. Important match, since both are expected to be in the bottom.
Nannskog is important for Stabæk, and he has a lot of pressure on him to put some goals.
A lot of new players in Sandefjord, and some foreign unknown that has to do a good job.
Stabæk should be a better team and homeground should be enough for winning this match.

Start - Lyn
Not many goals expected here, and draw might be the best option, if u have to bet on this match. Two good teams, and the two last meetings have ended with a draw.

Vålerenga - Odd
Last year championship , Vålerenga starts home against Odd, who have sold a lot importants players. If Vålerenga finds a way on how their attackers can score more, they will have a nice season infront of them.
Normaly a home win, but this is first round so... The home odds is very low to.

Lillestrøm - Rosenborg
The big match in the first round. Anything can happend. Im just gonna watch this match, not bet!

Fredrikstad - Brann
On monday, if this game will be played. The pitch is awful. Hard to predict what will happend, but not many goals i guess. Fredrikstad a little favourite.

My picks this round:
Stabæk - Sandefjord 1 (6 units)
HamKam - Viking X (2units)
Molde - Tromsø 1 (2units)
Start - Lyn X (2units)

Good luck all!!

Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

some quik info about 1 div. in norway.

Bodø/Glimt big favorite home against newpromoted Sparta. Think maybe +2.5 goals is the best option, since new teams normaly starts good.

Bryne should win against Løv-Ham. Has some good results in training matches. Løv-Ham lost 11 of 13 away matches last season, and i fear it will continue tomorrow.

Pors is good at home, were they not play on natural gras. Sogndal has s strong team this year, and the away odds is tempting.

Strømsgodset should win home against Hødd. Has some strong results lately and Hødd takes the points on homefield.

Hønefoss can take all threee points away against MS Oslo. The hometeam hasn't bought any good players, and is expected to relegation.

My picks:
Bodø/Glimt +2.5 goals (4units)
Bryne 1 (5units)
Sogndal 2 (3units)
Strømsgodset -1 (4units)
Hønefoss 2 (3units)

Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

CET 13:15 Silkeborg v FC Midtjylland

This will be my only bet for tomorrows matches in the Danish Superliga, but in return it offers great value IMO.

After a great start after the winterbreak, it seems like Silkeborg have found their normal standard again.
Two wins in the first two matches after the winterbreak did, that the expectations to Silkeborg had grown. Since that, they haven't been able to rely on those. Even though they did win against AGF, they played pretty badly and last weekend they were outplayed throughout all 90 minutes by Esbjerg. But Silkeborg is in safe distance to the relegation zone and therefore relegation isn't an option. Silkeborg do play in a very defensive and organized way.

After a bad autumn and a defeat in the first match after the winterbreak, the mighty FC Midtjylland was in relegation-trouble. But after that, they've got 10 points in the last four games and is now in a safe position.
The reason to the good results is definitely, that FC Midtjylland have stabilized their defense. Before it wasn't abnormal, that they did let in three goals in a match, but that time is over. In the last five matches they've only conceded three goals.

In return, FC Midtjylland doesn't score as many goals as before. The chances have been created, but not maked use of. Lot of Midtjylland's play in the spring have taked place in the midfield and to be a little critical, Midtjylland haven't met the toughest opponents in the spring. This game is a derby, and not many chances will be given away.
Four of FC Midtjylland's latest five games have gone under 2½ goal, three out of Silkeborg's latest four games just as. Finally the latest four infighting meetings is gone under 2½ goal.

Normally the Danish Superliga is a highscoring league, but it hasn't been in the spring. Maybe that's due to the bad pitches, nerves and so on - but the bookies doesn't seem to be aware of that. I see good chances for this match to end under 2½ goals too, and my estimations is something like 55-45 in favour of under.

Therefore great value in the odds 2,20, who Interwetten offer. I'll invest 6 units on that!

Silkeborg v FC Midtjylland @ under 2,5 goals 2,20 at Interwetten

Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

Just having a quick look at the matches for to-nite and I think
Djurgardens are a fantastic price @ 2.10.........

I won quite a few Euros backing this team last year and they
were very strong at home last year, 9-3-1 40 goals scored

Some people might say it is a bit early to get involved and my
prediction might go horribly wrong but if you got a chance to
back any of the big European league winners from last year
at those odds at home in their frst league game of a new season
you would jump all over it, if that makes sense.........

10 Points for me and hope we get the season off to a flyer.........

Re: Scandanvian Thread: 8th - 10th April

Djurgardens game might end up as a draw i feel as the handicap is only 0.25, UIf they reallyt that strong it should have been 1/2 ball, Maybe they will get a draw for these match... As for Elfsborg Dun understand why they throw 0.25? possibly they are meant to wuin these game? AIK seems like a gd choice on level terms...

these are my thoughts but i know nuyts about swedish socccer though. If i get wrong dun blame me:p
