Re: French Cup and Ligue 2 11-12 April
too short?
well... i think that's a fair price.
Sete got only 3 points this season in away games....(out of 48 possible)
i even think there's value on this one :-)
Brest in a MUST WIN sutuation,
while Sete...hmmm...
haven't they relegated already....?

Yeah Sete are awful but it's been a long time since I've taken such short odds in the French 2nd. Sete's last 5 away games have all been lost by a 1 goal margin so I'd maybe be tempted to dabble with that. You can get Brest(-1) Draw @ 3.65 with Nordicbet.
Not normally my cup of tea but French 2nd is as good a league as any for it to be successful.

Re: French Cup and Ligue 2 11-12 April
Lyon - In previous meeting on 11 of January, Lyon won 2:1. Now Lyon looks good again, after unlacky lose vs Milan, and on Saturday won the game vs Nica 2:1. In that game Gérard Houllier rested a couple of first team players: Diarra, Carew, Clerk and Wiltord didn't played while Juninho and Müller were substitutes and not very used. This showes that Gérard Houllier wants this trophy badly, as Lyon last wining in this cup was in 1976!!!
Now they are out of CL and they need only 2 points from next 5 games to secure the title, so this Cup is their main focus as Gérard Houllier have stated that they want double crown. For today game Lyon have full squad to choose from and Gérard Houllier have sweet wories about who will play today.
Marseille - They are medicore this season and now they have "only" Intertoto place. They have reached quarter final after good performances vs Sochaux (2:0), Metz (2:0) and Le Havre (4:0), but all on their home ground. Today Marseille will be without Oruma, Cesar (injured), Cantareil, Quesnel, Bonnissel, Andre Luis, Delfim. Oruma and Cesar are big blow for them i think.
Lyon team for this game: Abidal, Carew, Clément, Clerc, Coupet, Cris, Diarra, Fred, Govou, Juninho, Malouda, Monsoreau, Müller, Réveillère, Tiago, Vercoutre, Wiltord
Marseille team for this game: Barthez, Carrasso, Beye, Déhu, Civelli, Taiwo, Méïté, Ferreira, Cana, Lamouchi, Nasri, Ribéry, Niang, Pagis, Maoulida, Gimenez
Today stadium will be full as 39.000 tickets have been sold and there will be also 1.800 Marseille supporters.
I expect that Lyon progres to semi final with no so easy win.
Lyon to win 2:1

You could be onto something there, Daikoku. Of Sete's 13 defeats away from home this season, 9 of them have been by a single goal.
Brest have made two changes to their squad from last week. Adrian Aliaj (midfielder, 10 starts this season) will miss out, replaced in the squad by Bertin Tomou (attacker, 7 starts). Vincent Bernardet (defender, 9 starts this season) gives up his place to Christophe Forest (17 starts).
One win in 14 for Brest, but even worse for Sete, just one win in 21, and as Meatman says, 11 consecutive away defeats. However, Istres travelled to Brest last week on a similarly bad run of away form (6 consecutive away defeats, and one point from their last 10 away from home), and they managed to get a 0-0 draw. The major difference between Istres and Sète, I guess, is that Istres can't be that a bad a side, as they've won 6 of their last 7 at home, they're just a very poor away side. Sète seem to be a very poor (to put it mildly) side all round. I'd have to go along with Meatman here though, I think, 1.50 is too short for a side with just 1 win in 14, no matter who they're playing.
If I had an account with Nordicbet, I'd be tempted by that bet of Daikoku's, but I don't, and I'm not interested in Brest at 1.50.

Re: French Cup and Ligue 2 11-12 April
I agree that offered price for Brest are too short, considering the tight games in France 2, and a poor home side, but I'll take it , adding Wisla in double.
Why?
Couple of weeks ago, when match was interrupted, Brest already has a 1-0 lead, and I don't think that Sete is going to spoil it tonight. They don't need points no more, Brest is an old league team, and nobody gets hurt if both teams repeat some low scoring home win.
Also, next round will bring nothing but trouble to Brest. They're facing promotion chaser Lorient away, and can't see them getting anything from it.

Not sure I'd agree with that, Charly. Sète don't need the points any more, you're right, but sometimes teams play a bit better once the pressure is off them. And while you're right that the next round will be difficult for Brest, I'm not sure that makes them any more likely to win this game. All games are must-win games for Brest at the moment, including their home game v Istres last week, but they didn't manage to win that one. Having said that, I do still think Brest will scrape the win, fingers crossed for you.
For tonight, I think I'll be on PSG to beat Lille in the earlier kick off in the French Cup. The squads are as follows:
Lille:
Tony Sylva, Grégory Malicki, Rafael, Milivoje Vitakic, Stathis Tavlaridis, Matthieu Chalmé, Nicolas Plestan, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Daniel Gygax, Jean II Makoun, Yohan Cabaye, Geoffrey Dernis, Hicham Aboucherouane, Mathieu Bodmer, Nicolas Fauvergue, Peter Odemwingie, Matt Moussilou, Kader Keita
PSG:
Letizi, Benhamou, Armand, Badiane, B.Mendy, Paulo Cesar, Pichot, Rozehnal, E.Cissé, Dhorasoo, Landrin, M’Bami, C.Rodriguez, Bueno, Kalou, Pancrate, Pauleta
PSG are without Yepes through suspension, and Rothen, Haddad and Alonso through injury. Yepes and Rothen are important players, Haddad and Alonso less so. Lille will be without their captain Tafforeau, along with Debuchy and Acimovic. They've also decided (according to L'Equipe in any case) to change keeper for this match, meaning reserve keeper Malicki should be starting.
The last 10 H2H between these two sides in Paris are 6-3-1 in PSG's favour. PSG are also coming into this game in good home form, having beaten second placed Bordeaux 3-1 and 6th placed Auxerre 4-1 in their last two home games. Lille meanwhile come into this game on the back of 5 successive draws.
I fancy PSG's overall home form (11-3-3 for the league season) to be enough to help them shade this one, so I'll go with them at 11/10.

Re: French Cup and Ligue 2 11-12 April
I'm giving some thought to Lyon too, Igor. This is all they've got left to play for now this season. They're 14 points clear of Bordeaux at the top of the league with 5 games to play, so the league title is clearly theirs, and they're out of the Champions League, so they can now devote their attention to this.
Think I'm going to join you in putting my PSG winnings on Lyon. Fingers crossed
