Urawa Reds v Avispa Fukuoka
FW Ono injured.
Even though Urawa's top of the league table and scoring goals freely. The coach decided it was fun to try out new stuffs and played a more defensive game. Alex Santos who used to play at the back and runs forward is moved into midfield and puts in Yamada who always stays at the back. It's true the defence improved, but the offence deproved. But still Urawa is still the team with the most quality, but quality without performance is nothing.
Avispa has always played well in all their games, and perhaps unlucky to not win any of them. They always fight in every game and could even beat Urawa in the last game. From the 3 promoted teams, Avispa is the most consistent and they should be able to avoid relegation with their performance.
FW Escudero should replace Ono in attack. Other than that I expect the same Urawa team that won at Fukuoka to start. However in that game it was clear Avispa has the capabilities to beat Urawa with the way Urawa currently plays. Avispa declared that they would like to get their first win of the season even though it's the cup game. A very bold declaration that deserved to be backed. Handicap of 1 1/4 is too much as I see a very hard game for Urawa and a draw is more probable or an Avispa upset. Urawa's 2-0 win over Tokyo in the first Cup game was a very lucky one with 3 goaline clearances, I dont believe that they will be lucky again here.
Avispa(+1 1/4) 4/10 2.265
Avispa 1/10 8.18
Odds moved further, I'll add more. Natural thing as Urawa is like Man Utd.
Avispa(+1 1/2) 2/10 2.075
Other games
Yokohama Marinos v FC Tokyo
Suprisingly Marinos with a weakened lineup, Magrao rested and Marques rested, Kubo on the bench. While FC Tokyo brought a full team.
FC Tokyo(+1/2) 3/10 2.00
Kashima Antlers v Kawasaki Frontale
Both teams with strongest current lineup, hard match to rate, I prefer to stay away.
Oita Trinita v Kyoto
Purple Sanga
Both with around full teams with minor changes. Not sure why Alemao's on the bench for Kyoto. A probable Over, but maybe in livebetting.
JEF Ichihara v Albirex Niigata
Both teams playing the same players that played in the last Nabisco Cup, JEF has some advantage, but not worth a bet.
Shimizu S-Pulse v Sanfreece Hiroshima
Cho Jae Jin on the bench, about the same team that played in the last Cup game. Sato is fit for Sanfreece, but Dininho on the bench, maybe tactical stuffs. Not worth any bets.
Ventforet Kofu - Jubilo Iwata
Both teams with a little weakened lineup. But Jubilo's looks more decent to the weekend lineup. I think Jubilo should be able to get something, but odds arent good.
Cerezo Osaka v Nagoya Grampus
Nishizawa out of the gamefor Cerezo, and Grampus has a strange looking lineup, better stay away. It seems Grampus manager is trying new stuffs again.
Urawa Reds v Avispa Fukuoka
Urawa's lineup made me happy. Reserve keeper Yamagishi starts, first team defence, NO Santos, NO Washington, NO Ponte, NO Ono(expected). Current 1.5 handicap too much.
