Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

These midweek games are often golden opportunities for Eircom League punters. The smaller teams in both divisions tend to struggle to put out their best teams as most of their players have work/college commitments. Tonight Kildare and Waterford and Wexford look like they will be travelling minus one or two of their better players. Cobh especially are a great bet tonight and I shall be on the HT-FT market.

Derry City V Waterford United To be leading after 60 mins @4/6: Waterford are unbeaten in 4 but on closer inspection only the 1-1 home draw with Drogheda was impressive. Before this 4 game unbeaten run they had lost 6 in a row and I expect a new losing run to begin tonight.

Derry have already beaten Waterford in Waterford less than a month ago and although they are not firing on all cylinders, they've won their last 2 home matches and are unbeaten in 6 games. Tempted with HT-FT but gonna go for the 60 minute mark instead.

Cobh Ramblers V Kildare HT-FT @7/5 Bet of the night/week here for me. Kildare manager John Ryan has already stated that its a nigh on impossible task facing his team tonight. Injuries suspensions and players having to make their own way down after a long day at work and college. Everything here points to a Cobh win.

Kildares midfield has been ripped aprt with both 1st choice midfielders missing tonight. Their goalkeeper will also miss the game due to his sending off against Limerick. Cobh have been in great form this season and know they must win to keep up with leaders Dundalk. They've already played Kildare away and won 2-0 in March. Easy home win for me.

Limerick 37 V Wexford Youths @8/13: I said last week that the Wexford bubble seems to have burst and after losing 2-1 at home to out of sorts Athlone its clear that its gonna be a long hard season from here. Heading down to in form Limerick for a mid week game isn't exactly the sort of game they need to get back on track. Limerick have had a great season , especially at home where only the mighty Dundalk have beaten them. They kept Cobh scoreless here a couple of weeks back and thats not easy to do. One thing they are missing is a striker and they've found it hard to score this season. However Wexford Youths shouldn't pose any significant problems and I fancy a 1 or 2-0 victory tonight.

Verdict:
Cobh HT-FT @8/5-- Confidence 8/10 (Straight win @8/15-Confidence 9.875/10, I promised never to go 10/10 again!) Boylesports

Derry City After 60 mins @4/6 Confidence 7/10 Paddy Powers

Limerick 37 @8/13 Confidence 7.5/10 Paddy Powers

Looking for H2H statistics and the footymad.uk or Ireland-mad.uk don't seem to work.
Any other source for h2h stats for Eircom league?
Cheers.

Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

Know nothing about this league but these seem like bets worth taking, very small punt.
UNDER 2 @ 1.82 - Longford Town v Galway Utd
UNDER 2 @ 1.95 - Bray v UCD

LIMERICK 37 @ 1.50 - Limerick 37 v Wexford Youths
OVER 2-2.5 @ 1.83 - Sligo v Drogheda Utd
4 pts each

Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

Im looking at laying Drogheda tonight. They arent great up front without Declan O'Brien who got injured in the setanta cup final a few weeks ago. They are missing probably their best defender as well in Jason Gavin so i would be inclined to stay away from them altogether until these two are back. I certainly dont fancy them odds on away from home.

Shame about Derry, really thought they'd have enough tonight. Hope nobody went with me. Other results went as planned though. Well done to all who were brave enough to take Drogheda. Comfortable win in the end for them.
