Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

Monaghan United v Finn Harps
I like that price on Finn Harps ....
Monaghan again is playing bad ,at home they are terrible 0-2-4...5:12 ,they lost last three home games....
Finn Harps is worst away team but this should be there’s easiest away game
Finn Harps love playing against them
H2H
*Monaghan didn`t score in last three home games (0:1 ,0:0 , 0:0 , 0:1 , 1:2 )
Home:0-2-3
Overall:0-3-8

Bohemians v St Patricks
Looking at the last meeting between this two under is best bet, also both teams with rock solid difence so maybe even under 1,5 is good bet

Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

The Drogs take the field at the Showgrounds tomorrow night with an early chance to put their title challenge back on the rails after Friday's home defeat to Rovers. There were plenty of glum faces on Friday night after the match, but in my view this will be a long and hard campaign and we are just past the first third - its early days yet. The positives are that we are playing well, Eamon Zayed and Stephen Bradley in particular are showing great form, and with a couple of our casualties returning from injury after break, we have everything to look forward to.

In reflecting on Friday night's defeat against Rovers, we were on top for quite along time and its almost unbelievable that not one of Zayed's efforts got past the keeper. I would view Rovers' first goal as a brilliant opportunist effort and while we defended slackly for the second, the result would have been very different had we taken our chances. On the injury front there's not much to report, some walking wounded, but generally I would expect the lineup to be somewhat the same as Friday, except of course that Garto will be sidelined after getting the red. Stephen Gray should step in to the vacant slot and it was good to see James Keddy making his welcome return after a long absence and hopefully we will see him having a sustained run on the team. So, we will travel in hope and expectation of a good result... to bring us into the last match before the break on Friday in good form. See yiz above !

Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

Drogheda United will be looking to bounce back from a shock home defeat to Shamrock Rovers last Friday night as they visit Sligo Rovers on Tuesday night. Sligo are also looking for a change in fortunes having lost both games since they took Cork City apart.

Sligo Rovers vs Drogheda United
(The Showgrounds - 7:45 pm - Premier)
Referee : Tom Connolly

Sligo won that game against Cork City 4-1 but have shown few signs of again hitting those heights since. Sligo lost away to St. Pats on Friday night.

Having not lost in their opening nine games, Drogheda lost twice last week and will be looking for a change of fortunes. However, they will have been boosted by Monday night's result which gives them the chance to cut back into St. Pats lead. However, Bohs have now also entered the title picture meaning slip-ups will be crucial even this early in the season.

Drogheda were easy winners when the sides met earlier in the season. The Drogs won that game 3-0 but would probably be happy enough with a single goal victory on Tuesday night.

Keith Foy is set to return for Sligo although Seamus Coleman and Conor O'Grady are doubts. Brian Cash could feature at some point as he nears a return from a long term injury. Gavin Peers is out injured.

Graham Gartland is suspended for the Drogs following his red card in Friday's loss with Stephen Gray is set to replace him. The Drogs injury list is along similar lines to recent weeks with Declan O'Brien, Shane Barrett, Dan Connor, Richie Baker, Aidan O'Keefe and Jason Gavin all set to remain out. Rumours have already begun circulating of Paul Doolin's desire to add a striker to his squad when the transfer window opens

anyone know how important the missing of the both teams ?

Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

Latests Team News from some irish football clubs websites :

Rovers v Cork City, Tolka Park, May 28th

Press Release Issued : 28 May 2007
SCULLY WANTS MORE SAME
Here's the latest from Shamrock Rovers ahead of Tuesday's eircom League of Ireland Premier Division game against Cork City at Tolka Park . . .

TEAM NEWS
Once again Rovers are without long-term injury victims Paul Shiels and Eric McGill, and there are doubts about Aidan Price (hamstring), Derek Pender (knee), Ger Rowe (ribs) and Barry Ferguson (knee).
"Paul has had his operation and should be back in about 6-8 weeks," says Hoops' boss Pat Scully. "Eric is back doing light jogging, but the others could yet make it for the Cork City game.
"Both Aidan and Derek weren't 100% for the Drogheda game, but we took a chance it will be a similar situation against Cork. Ger is still recovering from his rib injury while Barry picked up a knock on Friday.
"All four are in with a chance of playing and we'll just have to wait and see how they are when we get a little closer to the game before making any final decisions."

SCULLY SAYS . . .
Last time: Drogheda Utd 0 Rovers 2
"I was very pleased with the team's performance, especially in the first-half where I also felt we had a stonewall penalty turned down. I still can't believe it wasn't given.
"The goals we scored were of real quality and I felt we coped very will with everything Drogheda had to offer, although there was a 20-minute period in the second-half when we were a bit sloppy.

This time: Rovers v Cork City
"This is a similar type of game to the one against Drogheda – so I'll be looking for a similar type of performance from our players. We're going to have to work very hard and concentrate for the 90 minutes.
"Although I was very pleased with the performance against Drogheda , it's history now and we just have to make sure that we can keep to that level in every game we play."

ENDS

Stephen Hurley will miss Bray's clash with UCD at the Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday night (kick off 7.45pm).

Hurley is on loan from UCD and part of the loan agreement is that he doesn't play against UCD.

Otherwise Manager Eddie Gormley has a full squad to pick from, as for the first time this season his squad is injury-free.

Speaking about the win over Sligo Rovers last Friday week, Gormley said "It was a good performance, the type of performance we need on a regular basis to give us the consistency we are aiming for."

WATERFORD

match preview : 28 May 2007

Blues Head to Derry

Waterford United make the long journey North to the Brandywell hoping to continue the run of results that has seen them unbeaten in their last four league outings. However, manager Gareth Cronin must cope with some injury problems ahead of the game on Tuesday.

Cronin Quotes
“I was very happy with Friday’s result and the way the players have responded over the past few weeks. Their commitment and attitude has been excellent and they have put in a hug effort in training which has been rewarded with results on the field. It is great to see Vinny Sullivan banging in the goals and long may it continue.”

“Travelling to Derry in midweek is a big ask for the team which is a part time outfit. We will prepare for the game as best we can and I am hoping that the confidence that is now buzzing through the squad will be enough to help us get something from the game.”

Cheers all.
First time for me in the Eircom league, hoping for luck & good deeds, backing Longford Town & Drogheda United 1/2 pt. each

Looking for H2H statistics and the footymad.uk or Ireland-mad.uk don't seem to work.
Any other source for h2h stats for Eircom league?
Cheers.

Re: Ireland Eircom Leagues: 28/29th May

Cobh Ramblers host Kildare County in the First Division of the eircom League of Ireland on Tuesday night. Both sides need to win to stay in touch. Cobh are second and go into the game five points behind leaders Dundalk. Kildare are fifth but would climb fourth with a win.

Cobh Ramblers vs Kildare County
(St. Colman's Park - 7:45 pm - Division 1)
Referee : Padraig Sutton

Cobh go into the game with a good record against Kildare. Ramblers have won three of their last four meetings with the Thoroughbreds, including a 2-0 win at Station Road in March.

Cobh extended their unbeaten run to twelve games with a win away to Finn Harps at the weekend. Cobh now haven't lost since the second week of the season. They have also kept ten clean-sheets along the way.

A narrow home defeat at the hands of Limerick 37 ended a seven game unbeaten league run for Kildare at the weekend.

Cobh keeper James McCarthy remains out for the foreseeable future while Ken Coleman is also set to miss out injured. Kieran O'Reilly is an injury doubt too.

Gary Walsh and Fiachra McArdle remain sidelined for Kildare while Steve McCrossan is a doubt. Goalkeeper Austin O'Neill returns after suspension and replaces John Flynn who was sent off against Limerick. Alan Byrne was also sent off in that game and misses out.

League form for Cobh Ramblers : WWDWW
League form for Kildare County : LWDDD

Previous meeting(s) : Kildare County 0-2 Cobh Ramblers (31/03/2007)
Kildare County 0-1 Cobh Ramblers (28/10/2006)
Cobh Ramblers 1-1 Kildare County (02/09/2006)
Kildare County 0-4 Cobh Ramblers (01/07/2006)
Cobh Ramblers 1-2 Kildare County (15/04/2006)

IrishFootballOnline.com Prediction: Home win.

i,ve no idea so i'd try IrishFootballOnline.com Prediction HOME WIN
