20/05/2007 St Albans Saint 1 - 1 Brunswick City
Score 1 all.
Saints very lucky to get a draw in this one although could have stole the win in the end when they hit the bar and had it cleared off the line in the dying seconds. A very entertaining game I must admit. Brunswick had 3 clear cut chances in the first half yet found themselves 1 nil down courtersey of a Tricarico header at the back post. After Brunswick equalised the game evened out with both sides missing guilt edge chances, Brunswick probably missing the better of them when what looked to be a certain goal hit the post when the striker only had the keeper to beat.

Saints should have finished the game off in the first half, dominated posession although brunswick did have two good chances. Second half brunswick the better team drawing level and a few more chances to win it. Saints depth a question mark, hopefully a few more signings coming very soon!!

Brunswick had 2 clear cut and I mean clear cut penalty chances waved on play on. The referee was terrible. In the end it was a JUST result considering the Saints had 2 goals saved off the goal line deep in the 2nd half. All in all, laclustre performance by both sides.

By the way, the Brunswick team must be the worst on paper considering they had a pretty gun team last year!

I backed against Sunbury last week. Just reading this posted on errr 23rd-

Heard Sunbury lost one of there young stars to albion......he scored on the weekend and set up 2....he had a blinder.....how comes he left??

he did it 4 albion...they won 7-zip....left due to differneces with coach plus money

Skybet 8/15 on Cairnlea (ex albion rovers) Avondale have had a good start to theeir promotion season. Need to look more but on first impressions bet365's 2/5 could be closer to the mark. I dunno though as i was impressed with Avondale's form. Defeats by Ballarat and Plenty could have brought the harsh reality of playing in the state leagues over the Provi leagues poss.

Dragan has officially left. A few players walked out today after being frustrated by the coach.. shud b intersting to see what coach is bought in, and what kind of job he will do .. best of luck 2 da springy bois..

The coach has left but for what it sounds has completely wrecked the club by making all their top players leave. He wlks out when the club is second bottom. Club surely to get relegated now but I guess you don't blame the coach you blame who hired him and allow what occured to happen

I' a bloody twat. Last week i took Chelsea on tha back of Sringvale's problems. They drew 1-1 and cost me in my permed lines (well before a western disaster really) I bloody got my Springvales mixed up This is Sringvale City and not South Springvale

Fcuk. Sorry folks.

Here's another game that cost me money-

26/05/2007 Pascoe Vale 0 - 0 Moreland City
Good game all in all... Moreland had the best of the chances in the first half opening Paco up regularly at set pieces while paco came back strongly at the end of the second half having a couple of good chances denied by the by Jan in goals and a clearance off the line... Second half Paco with the wind had the bulk of possesion and just lacked the final ball into the box and again denied a couple of good chances by the keeper. Moreland looked dangerous on the break, just failed to convert their chances.... All in all 0-0 a fair result... Have Paco started to choke early this season? As the song goes.... "Money can't buy you love... Or promotion" ;-)

bah Coburgh's game must be a friday or a sunday game. I would have fancied them again this week. I'm gonna keep on the right side of them i think. Look to be improving well.

Dandenong have lost another stiker. Wish there was odds on them this week. Maybe Brunsick aint a team to trurst mind. all irelevant really.

Altona East Phoenix i could like. theyve had some hard games and were unlucky in defeat last week. Bah odds on with Bet365. 11/10 with Skybet. One for the shortlist. I could always phone skybet and sort my password out etc if needs be.

It's Doncasters Manager whos away overseas for 8 weeks. His replacemnt was match official at Templstowes game last week so he should know all about them. A few of us knew that the manager was away-

Sydenham seem to be going the right way

I always thougt of them as a big side in that division. Alot of expectations every year from their fans. Didnt they come down 2 years ago? They were challenging one season too since. Anhow lets see who their playing. Lalor. mmmm i don't know much abou tthem truth be told. Aye things could be looking brighter for Sydenham

I guess it comes down to preparation and whilst Sydenham had a long hard pre-season, weeks before season kick we had drama after drama, players on holidays, weddings, bucks nights, injuries and players not being registered. You could see the train wreck coming but you were powerless to do anything about it. With all this crap behind us and a few handy signings, the boys are playing good solid football and most importantly realizing the importance of defending.

....whist it was a good win on the weekend, any mention of promotion is just pie in the sky talk. I will be happy if we just play solid football for 90 minutes week in week out, the rest will work itself out.

nunawading apparnetly have the best pitch in all the leagues from what i can gather. Generally accepted it is. Suit a good team that like to pass the ball about a bit. Oh could endeavour be the team? Im sure nunawading have a bit of internal strife at the mo. Betdirect's pricer might agree with me that the 6/4 at hills is an ok price as he only goes 11/10. A good game to look at i think. Endeavour havent done much wrong this season. Need to read up on them but i thin theyre a young side. Nunawading wont be any mugs on their own ground but i quite like the thought of Endeavour winning this one.

Sandringham did me a wee favour last week and i managed to get a livescore update. I could well be on Sandringham again. I think the 11/5 with Skybet is way too big. Actually it's 6/4 with Hills and it's being backed in with bet365. There's even talk like this over this one-

If I were a betting man I'd have a lazy $100.00 on the Doves ... Way too classy for Sandy

2/1 Casey Comets looks interesting. Thats Cranbourne of last season isn't it? I was readin that Bentleigh aint all that and their position in the league could belie how average they actually are. Casey's games look ok on the face of i too. One to learn more about.

Right Springvale City have got a new coach (ex Cranboune/Casey Comets capt) These 2 came up together last season i beieve. there's this too-

Tough game to tip as both teams will be fired up. SS at home with the added incentive of their current coach being Springy's former coach! Springy on the other hand have far too much talent to keep on losing so predicting a 2-2 draw with SS equalising in the final few minutes. Jusuf to bag a double for Springy.

Southern Suburbs are hardly in the best of form themselves are they? Nah i'll leave that one for now.

Cranbourne/Casey Comet's coach walked out the other night. He was getting a lot a pressure to go. I dont think theyve done all bad this season. No new coach announced. I still think their a bit of value at 2/1 with bet365 truth be told. One for my shortlist.

Doveton's top goal scoring midfielder Buhic hasnt scored for 2 games. Apparently he's playing injured. He'll probably score 5 now ive mentioned it. Theyve still won both them games. Maybe they are just a strong side. I might just leave this one. I'll reread what was mentioned about Sandringham and read more.

Werribee havent lost a game in over 1 and a half seasons draw too much for me. I like Williamstown and they won well for me at Sunbury last week. Would i want to back them at odds on to beat a team that just doesnt know how to get beat thought?

BAh Morwell Pegasus are 'spending big' to stop the rot. Just signed 2 'big money' signings from what i can gather. they looked to have been picking up too. The odds on din't impress me much though. Still Fitzroy havent been doing much winning. Again a good game to look at.

oh this sounds interesting....Cranbourne/Casey Comets seem to have got 2 old boys into coach. Prob player managers too. I think i just want to bet against Doveton as i hate them so much. I shouldnt be hasty here. One of the new Casey Comets aquisitions is from Chelsea and the other from Frankston Pines by the sounds of it.

Just shows you eh? Oh i'll have a read of this-

If there is such thing in football as undeserved victory, then this was it.
Greens took lead through penalty in 5th minute, but Altona levelled aftr unsuccessful offside trap. Greens went ahead in 45th minute courtesy of Borkovic's world-class free-kick from 30 meters. Altona equalised immediatelly after restart and looked far better side. They had chance after chance, only some amazing misses kept Greens in the game. And, as it usually happens, punishment came when Pelja turned in the box and toe-poked a winner.
Greens run of victories continues despite playing nowhere near their best. It is amazing that two of Greens' best games, vs Pascoe Vale and Werribee, earned us two points in total, yet we were nowhere near our best in last three victories. But hey, we'll take it - we lost many games in past after completely dominating play. And yes, monkey's off our back - Altona has finally been defeated.

I heard it from a Northcote player. It 100 per cent happenend. They played a Pacino speech and they also recorded the Clifton Hill president joking about northcote being panel beaters etc and played that as well.
Are these guys serious? anyone from Northcote like to comment on this strange behaviour
