Re: South American Football 1/3 Jun
Newell's v Gimnasia LP
Both these teams in bad form, but LP is in free fall since march 2006 when it last won at home v Independiente
23:30 27-05-2007 Gimnasia LP 0-3 River Plate
02:10 20-05-2007 Velez Sarsfield 0-0 Gimnasia LP
20:30 13-05-2007 Gimnasia LP 2-2 Nueva Chicago
20:30 06-05-2007 Godoy Cruz Mza. 2-1 Gimnasia LP
19:00 29-04-2007 Gimnasia LP 0-1 Lanus
02:00 26-04-2007 Rosario Central 1-0 Gimnasia LP
21:10 22-04-2007 Gimnasia LP 1-2 Estudiantes
23:20 14-04-2007 San Lorenzo 1-0 Gimnasia LP
19:00 08-04-2007 Gimnasia LP 4-1 Independiente
Odds on Newell's are pretty poor considering theyre much stronger away and without a win for 3 matches, maybe its the 4-4 draw they got away last match at Estudiantes? who knows but at LP's current form i'll back the home side to scratch a victory from the Calusure's worse team atm..

Re: South American Football 1/3 Jun
Vasco vs Fluminense
This is obviously a Rio derby, played at the Maracana so no home advantage. Fluminense have the second leg of the cup final to consider, which is played midweek so they are using many reserves. However that did not stop them last round to beat International emphatically.
Renato Gaucho, Fluminense's coach has been a coach at Vasco for almost two years so he knows the opponent well (although the same could be said vice versa). Vasco's defender Santos is suspended after being sent off at their last game. The veteran Romario has a good chance of playing, however a knock may keep him out. If the latter happens the Colombian Martin Garcia is the most likely subsitute. I am not sure whether it's better for Vasco if Romario makes it to be honest.
I have not made up my mind regarding this game, so junkyardog may help us with this one.

Gimnasia Jujuy v Banfield
Interesting game this..
On one hand, hardly any away wins for Banfield, on the other, hardly any draws between the two sides.. i like that because i'de lay the draw and need help to figure out the winner..
This is Monty Hall at its best this in "Lets make a deal" (a stupid T.V. show i've never seen)

If you are referring to my post, I was just being polite as built mentioned your name.
I most certainly have read your post as I would not write something into a thread without first reading the rest of the stuff in it.
If you are referring to built's post so be it.

Re: South American Football 1/3 Jun
This is what i got, Internacional is in crisis after 3 strait defeats from 3 league maches, as a result theres a new boss Gallo (not sure but hes the head coach).
Theyre involves in the S. American Recopa where they lost to Mexican Pachuca after taking an early lead and will meet Pachuca for the second leg this thursday, i think it was Gallos first match as coach and from what iread there is improvement in the fighting spirit of the players.
Gallo promises the same fighting spirit vs Nautico with the difference of them taking the initiative as opposed to the tactical approach vs Pachuca.
There are one or two injured players while others were suspended and didnt travel with the team to Mexico, but the names mean nothing to me.
Nautico hope to despoil on Inters situation to get a good result. theyre planning some changes in theyre line-up particularly in the flanks.
No expert here but i reckon a home win.
