Busy Friday ....
At first glance Cork, Finn Harps & Cobh looks promising, Dundalk as well .
Too obvious maybe, but why not?

Re: Ireland Leagues: 11-13th Oct

Dundalk HT-FT V Monaghan @Evens: Dundalks home record has been second to none this season and their last 7 home results against teams in teh bottom half read 1-0 4-0 2-0 3-0 2-0 3-0 3-0.Thats 18F 0A. All but one of them would have got th HT-FT bet up as well. As well as that they're finally getting their form back after a rocky period last month and they've won the last 3 games pretty convincingly (they were by far the better team against Athlone last week).

Another plus is that Dundalks top scorer and player of the year is in line for a return to the team after a long injury layoff. Shaun williams played a full reserve match the other night and came through ok so he should at least play some part tonight. Monaghan have lost their last 3 games scoring just once in the process.
Last week they were beaten 4-0 by Harps, it should be closer tonight as Monaghan hate Dundalk and they'd love nothing more than to spoil the party but in form Dundalk should have too much for them. I reckon this will end up 2 or 3-0.

Verdict:
Dundalk HT-FT @Evens 7/10
Dundalk straight win @4/11 Confidence 9/10

Don't really fancy Shels tonight junior. They've got a lot of important players missing and i'll be very surprised if they can win tonight. Don't let me put you off though. I've underestimated Shels many times already this season.

Athlone V Shelbourne @15/8: Yet again i'm gonna take on Shels! 2/1 is far too big a price for anAthlone team who have been in decent form lately. In their last 3 home matches they've beaten Finn Harps Kildare County and lost 2-1 to high flying Dundalk.

Athlone and Shels played here earlier on in the season and Athlone won 1-0. The home side have a full strength team tonight for the first time in a long while. Shels on the other hand have lots of players missing. Lacey Crawford and Hussey are definitely out and Chambers and McCullough are doubtful and haven't trained all week.

These are quotes from the shels forum
"Jaysis without McCulloch and Chambers, we'll be hammered."
"We`re doomed. Doomed I tell ya!!"
"Holy smokes, that doesn't look good. Trying to think of a line-up, who are we going to play at left-back?"

Athlone(+1) @8/15 looks like a really solid bet to me but i'm gonna go for a straight home win with medium stakes and i'll also take the HT-FT with low stakes. 9/2 is just too big.

Verdict:
Athlone @2/1 (Ladbrokes) Confidence 5/10
Athlone HT-FT @9/2 Confidence 2/10
Athlone(+1) @8/15 Confidence 8/10

Re: Ireland Leagues: 11-13th Oct

Bray V Cork Over 2.5 goals @11/10: Tempted with Cork to win but don't think the price is great in what could be a tricky game against a Bray side still fighting off the threat of relegation. When Cork and Bray play there tends to be goals and there has been 3 or more in 5 of their last 7 meetings, including last months 2-2 draw in Cork. Unlike a lot of Eircom teams Cork actually play a bit of football away from home and don't sit back trying to snatch a draw. 4 of Corks last 5 aways have ended in overs. A draws not much good to either team tonight so I reckon we'll see an open attacking game and hopefully goals will follow.

Verdict:
Over 2.5 goals @11/10 Confidence 6/10

Bohs V Galway(+1) @11/10: Gonna take a chance on Galway getting at least a draw tonight against a Bohs side that will surely be feeling a bit weary after Tuesdays epic League Cup Final up in Derry. Galway drew here earlier on in the season. Galway are a tough side to beat and they've lost just twice in their last 8 games. They are also fighting against relegation and with an almost full squad to choose from they can give Bohs a tough night. Bohs best player in recent weeks Mansaram is a doubt tonight and he'll be a big loss if confirmed missing.

Verdict:
Galway(+1) @11/10 Confidence 5/10

@chief

about Athlone pick

I see that you follow Irish leauge and that you good at it, but one thing truble me about Athlone pick. Hussey as I see is goalkeeper and he played most of games it is strange to me that you didn`t point that out.

Ireland Premier
Soccer - Bray/Cork City FC - total Over 2½ (+111)
for the regulation time held on Oct 12 at 1:45pm [pending]

Crossing my fingers since Ireland you never know when you'll get a 0-0 stinker. This seems like a great price for this matchup though. Bray is fighting relegation at the bottom of the table, while second-place Cork have the slightest chance of catching front-running Drogheda. Bray have had 8 of last 10 go over, mainly through poor defense (10-21 goal differential in last 10). At home, the last five have gone over. Cork have gone over in seven of last nine, and six of last seven on the road. One thing that makes this bet stand out to me is that there is a chance of a competitive match like the last time these two met (2-2 FT) but there is also a good chance of a 3-0 result.

Eh not quite sure what you mean here sutible. I mentioned hussey was missing alright but it isn't really that big a deal as O'Dowd is 1st choice when fully fit. So although Hussey misses tonight its not really that significant. Or have I picke dyou up all wrong?
