Re: Spain: 1/2nd March

Call me paranoid, whatever...but one bet stands out for me this week in Segunda.
Small stakes recommended, since I already have failed last three rounds supporting Albacete.

Ferrol-Albacete

Why?
Just because of excellent H2H records:

Spanish Segunda Division 2007/2008
Albacete Ferrol 1:2 30.09.2007
Spanish Segunda Division 2005/2006
Albacete Ferrol 1:2 12.03.2006
Ferrol Albacete 2:3 08.10.2005
Spanish Segunda Division 2002/2003
Ferrol Albacete 2:1 17.05.2003
Albacete Ferrol 2:0 14.12.2002
Spanish Segunda Division 2001/2002
Ferrol Albacete 2:0 18.05.2002
Albacete Ferrol 2:1 23.12.2001
Spanish Segunda Division 2000/2001
Albacete Ferrol 1:0 20.05.2001
Ferrol Albacete 3:2 21.02.2001

Ferrol won away first game this season, and both teams collected 6 points for season each so far.

Ferrol is the worst home side in Segunda with only 12 points collected on their home ground from 12 games played, so another failure is no surprise at all.
The truth is, Ferrol collected 13 points from their last five games, and that fact puts them in a top of the form teams here, but there are 16 games to play to the end of the League,
and a lots of time to secure survival.

Albacete, on the other hand, is in a clear downtrend and it's hard to believe that they're capable to beat such "in-form" team as Ferrol currently is, but I think Segunda could deliver another surprise.

Re: Spain: 1/2nd March

I've read it several times now Charly, and I still can't work out what you're getting at about the "excellent" H2H suggesting an away win Of the 9 meetings between the sides (4 in Ferrol, 5 in Albacete), 6 of them have been won by the home side. The last 3 have ended with away wins, 2 for Ferrol and 1 for Albacete, but even so, I can't see that there's much to go on there in that respect.

Don't really see the relevance of that either. Over the last few years somewhere between 47 and 50pts has been needed to stay up in this division. Ferrol are currently on 30, so they're likely to need at least another 17, and opportunities to get those points don't come much better than games at home to a team in the relegation zone.

That's not to say Ferrol will win, of course, but personally I'm on them @ 2.26 which looks a pretty decent price given their excellent recent form and the fact Albacete have been pretty poor away from home so far this season. That said, I've been terrible on the Segunda this year, so on that basis the away win probably is more likely Good luck if you go with Albacete anyway

Re: Spain: 1/2nd March

From my point of view...each team picked up 3 points per season, and that's enough for me to suspect on some good relationship between them, and no one can convince me that is unusual in this league, since that's the story repeating over and over again.

It doesn't have to mean anything, and that's, as mentioned - my point of view re this match.

We'll see...

Re: Spain: 1/2nd March

OK, I see what you're getting at now. Maybe naive of me, but I don't really buy into all of that conspiracy kind of stuff. I'd hope that Ferrol, being just 2 points above the relegation zone, would have the sense to take this game seriously and forget any "agreements". Having said that, it's not like an away win would be a huge surprise here, but I still think if all things are equal, Ferrol are the better bet in this one.

Good luck to you though.

with such leagues when h2h looks like here it seems like really good bet but sometimes they do a draw just to hide it
but all in all away win as well IMO
