ah brilliant ec thanks. Lets have a read.

oooooo thats excellent news ec. Shit i better play well at the poker tonight as a few drunken nights this week has left my bet365 bucks well spent. I don't want to go daft so early in the 'season' but it should be a great opportunity for us all to do a little more homework on the games than those offering the odds and it's betting in a purely fundemental level. You don't get this buzz with the English Premiership etc. It's what it's all about.

K any questions on teeams mention here and i will ask them on the aussie forums. your welcome to post them out there too but i'll be asking questions on there anyhow. Like this years eurovision for me everything is just a big jambled up mess. I will have to get it all together. Once the odds are out then we can move sharply and hit the cnuts.

I have never bothered with the NSW Prem ec due to it never really being on 'the pools' anyone with any info on the league would be great though. Victoria 7 we only get when there is no Western if i remember right. Cup weeks. Tasmania we get even rarely but i suppose bwin will always have odds on this. I tend to stick to Victoria 1-7 (no Foxtell) and Western leagues (again with a preferance to Div One) Loads of info on the western premier though so it's hard to avoid keeping up on that. Southern leagues i just dont have time for. I like them especially the State league but i tend to leave that league till last most weeks and usually just take a bet from someone one here on it if i cant sort one.

Anyhow here's to a long hot summer chaps. Be sure to join us on TDP for some Aussie state Live Score

Re: Streuth! It's The Aussie Thread 17th May

Just to get you all in the mood here's some more info on the clubs that you will be seeing over the summer. Ive a thread here about the origins of aussie football teams but its members only. no riff raff

: : : Quote of the year!

I think you will find that Old Scotch is the "Old Boys" team for Scotch College, if memory serves they were formed as a thirds side when the original club Old Scotch/Hawthron Citizens merged with Waverley City and became Old Scotch/Waverley. Old Scotch/Waverley were playing state league and Old Scotch (OS/W Thirds) began playing at the bottom of the Provvie Leagues. The FFV decided they were not happy with one club having 2 teams in the league so when OS/W became Eastern Lions, Old Scotch went back to being a club on its own right but still playing out of Eastern Lions home ground till they moved to their own ground only this year I believe.
It was an easy mistake to make. Here's somethiong for all you Greeks-

Quote:
List of Greek backed clubs pinched from somewhere else.

VPL
Oakleigh Cannons
Heidelberg United - Megas Alexandros
South Melbourne - Hellas
Western Suburbs - Panellinios

State 1
Bentleigh Greens - Pagkyprios
Clifton Hill
Kingston City

State 2 N/W
Altona East Phoenix - PAOK
Brunswick City - Leonidas

State 2 S/E
Northcote City - Iraklis
South Springvale - Aris
Stonnington City - Malvern
Port Melbourne - Nea Ellas
Waverley Wanderers - AEK

State 3 N/W
Yarraville Glory - Doxa
Lalor - Florina
Westvale - Olympic

State 3 S/E
Southern Suburbs - Pythagoras

Provisional 2 N/W
West Preston
Essendon Utd - Kos
Keon Park
Darebin Utd

Provisional 2 S/E
Caufield United Cobras

Provisional 3 N/W
Mill Park
Get your team picked if you havent already. As mentioned im a bit of a Doveton fan. They blow hot and cold but with aBristow and Buhic combination that ive enjoyed the past couple of seasons. Dunno where theyre from.

No odds yet?

Re: Streuth! It's The Aussie Thread 17th May

just nipping off a wee bit early to see if any of these sh*te city bookies have a coupon for the Aus. This year I won't bother asking as the blank look followed by suspicious questioning grips my sh*t. I will try WH and Broke Lads and report back.

Re: Streuth! It's The Aussie Thread 17th May

good luck 2twins

I looked yesterday and again with all the Rangers fever about in glasgow i didnt want to hassle the girl behind the busy counter as i knew it would be more bother than it was worth and the answer would be 'i have no effing clue but i will feed you bullshit' i will explain to her what she is trying to do and before i know i will be asked to leave

Bet365 only have the foxtel cup which leads me to believe that they aint follwoing suit till next week either on the state leagues

Australia Foxtel Cup
16 May 11:30 Oakleigh Cannons v Whittlesea Zebras 1.72 3.60 3.80
17 May 07:00 Australian Institute of Sport v Richmond 2.40 3.10 2.60
17 May 07:00 Green Gully Cavaliers v Fawkner Blues 1.36 4.00 7.00
17 May 09:00 North Coburg Utd v Heidelberg Utd 2.50 3.10 2.50
18 May 06:00 Preston Lions v Altona Magic 2.40 3.10 2.60
18 May 06:00 Western Suburbs v Melbourne Knight 3.80 3.25 1.80
18 May 07:00 South Melbourne v Frankston P 1.44 3.50 7.00

I might have a look at it anyway. seems to be a bit of info about. No point though as i sdont plan to have a long term foxtel cup strategy so i will just be wasting my time and yours. Might as well use that time catching up more on the state leagues

GRETNA FC winger Ryan Baldacchino has left the Scottish Premier League club to start a new career in Australia.
The 27 year-old has agreed to join Victorian Premier League side Altona Magic in the Foxtel Cup, with a view to playing in the A-League.
Altona is currently seventh on the table after 11 games and Baldacchino will link-up with his new team mates this weekend.

Alex Williams was playing in the wester premier season before last Spacecat and shown. I would expect much the same from Baldachinno. I like him as a player. Should be good for altona magic.
