Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

i don`t why but right now i have a good feeling about tenerife if they win tomorrow they gonna be safe so maybe this the most important game for them in this year ,they are solid at home....
,lorka probable gonna win in sunday so thet means thet elche is gonna be safe so no need to puch in this game so why not to go with tenerife with 3- 4 pts ,maybe draw 0-0 gonna be the only upset in this game .....

h2h in last 5 games tenerife won 4 times and just one draw 1-0 2-1 0-0 3-1 1-0

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

Igor, Elche will have two first choice midfielders suspended, Katxorro and Pere Marti, which adds more interest to Tenerife.

Wilco, I think Xerez v Gimnastic is a very difficult one to call, and one I'll personally be leaving alone. However, I've just read in As today that last season, both Celta and Cádiz secured promotion in their game away to Xerez, and the season before that, Levante did the same. A win for Nastic today would make them the 4th team to secure promotion here in 3 seasons.

And one more reason which has occurred to me for backing Almeria. With all the accusations flying around against Levante, if (and it's a very big if) they turn out to be true (as opposed to mind games from the Lorca President), Levante will surely not be granted promotion. If that's the case, presumably the team that finishes 4th will be given their place, so it's in Almeria's interests to keep going until the end of the season just in case.

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

Actually, I've just seen the odds at the top had it down as Xerez v Ciudad de Murcia. Didn't the same thing happen last week or the week before too?

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

RC, just curious Ciudad looks to be in a good position for promotion and they are playing against Murcia today, From the name it seems they are close by in distance. How is their relation. From the list above it seems Ciudad are missing 2 players and how important are they. Is the asian handicap odds of -3/4 for Ciudad worthwhile. In the last six games Tenerife seems to be in a good run winning 4 and losing only to Lorca and Levante who are fighting for the top 4 spots. Thanks and Cheers

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

Prinze, it's a local derby, but I couldn't tell you what the relation is like between the two sides. Of the missing players, Alegre is a defender who's played 27 of 39 games this season, and Raul Medina is a midfielder who's also played 27 of 39 games. For Murcia, Pignol is a striker (according to As anyway), although his record of 0 goals in 30 games this season suggests that may not be correct .

Personally I wouldn't touch it purely for the fact it's a derby, good luck if you do go for it though.

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

jaimeg, guy from fcbet.com allways have nice news from secunda...today hi will be on murcia away

Quote:

Both teams play at same stadium, so not home advantage. Murcia is already save while Ciudad few chances to promote to primera. I doubt that they continue thinking they can promote this season because they are 4 points before Levante and 2 points before Lorca. That means they have maths chances but not real chances. This must worth a try because odd has no sense, and there is not good relation btw both teams

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

I wouldn't argue with his end decision of backing the "away" team in that game, but I certainly would argue with his logic that they're out of contention for promotion. If my team was 4 points behind with 3 games to go and they'd given up on promotion, I'd say they wanted shooting

When you bear in mind as well that Levante and Lorca have to play each other so one or both of those teams are guaranteed to drop points next week, Ciudad de Murcia surely can't have given up on promotion already .

Having said all that, I hadn't realised the two sides played at the same ground, and on that basis backing Murcia at that price certainly does look tempting, regardless of Ciudad de Murcia's motivation.

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

Have just been reading on the Almeria website, and it doesn't look too encouraging. They're just giving all the crap that teams always give at this stage of the season about how even though their season's over, they still want to give their best for the fans, etc.

I still rate their chances of beating Madrid B without Cobeño and Soldado, but looking at it now maybe this was one for lower stakes. Still, I'm on it now, so

Re: Spanish Segunda 3-4 June

Eibar - Levante

Pick: Levante
Stake: 8/10 Odds: 1.41
Bookmaker: Betfair

3. Levante 69 (played 39)
4. Ciudad Murcia 68 (played 40)
5. Lorca 67 (played 39)

Levante is in best position from all three teams because they are on the third and the last position that brings promotion and having easy task today, playing against the weakest team in Segunda Division, Eibar. Beside this match, Levante until the end have to play against Lorca in the next round (the biggest rival for third position) and Lleida (who is fighting against relegation) in the last round. So this is must win situation for Levante in order to keep the third position and enter the last two rounds with some advantage.

What to say about Eibar? They are one of the two weakest teams in the league (alongside Malaga B) and at the moment they are on the last position with absolutely no chance for promotion. The morale and confidence in the team is on very low level and now playing against one of the best teams in the league, they have nothing to ask for. They lost 3 from their last 5 matches.

Levante is on three match winning streak and now playing against the weakest host in the league there is big possibility this good streak to continue. As I mentioned in my previous preview about Levante, they played last year in Spain Primera Division and, although they relegated, they still have players with quality and potential to play at top level.

My money are on Levante.

You're probably right Monty, but too late for me now. Anyway, As (the newspaper) still think Almeria have chances:

Quote:
Almería let go virtually all their hopes of promotion last week in Málaga with an unexpected defeat against the bottom side (3-1), but there are still three games to go and third place is eight points away. So, as the more optimistic would say, "while there's life there's hope".

And it's not madness to think like that, since football always throws up surprises. Furthermore, Castilla will land today in the region where they last won away (versus Poli Ejido, 0-3) without Soldado (suspended) and Rubén (rested), and with Cobeño, De la Red and Jurado on the bench.

It seems Gimnastic got promoted after their draw last night, although I can't quite see how they've worked that out.

Table - Overall
Spain - Segunda division
1.Gimnastic Tarragona4023611 47:35 75
2.Recreativo de Huelva3920127 61:30 72
3.Levante UD3919128 51:38 69
4.Ciudad de Murcia40191110 49:40 68
5.Lorca Deportiva CF39191010 55:37 67
6.Xerez CD40161311 54:43 61
7.Almeria CF3918714 48:38 61
8.Numancia CD3917913 43:45 60
9.Real Madrid B3916716 50:42 55
10.Sporting Gijon40121612 40:34 52
11.Albacete Balompie39141015 40:52 52
12.Real Murcia40131215 39:37 51
13.Real Valladolid39131214 51:51 51
14.Elche CF40131215 45:52 51
15.Teneriffe Santa Cruz CD40131017 50:57 49
16.Polideportivo Ejido3914718 42:49 49
17.Hercules Alicante CF39121215 36:45 48
18.Castellon CD39121116 40:47 47
19.Lleida Lerida UE39111018 40:48 43
20.Racing Ferrol4071518 43:61 36
21.Malaga CF B3971121 33:58 32
22.Eibar SD3951519 25:43 30

As Lorca have to play Levante still, a win for Lorca (plus wins in their other 2 games) would mean they could finish above Gimnastic, and if Levante win ther other two games, they could finish level on points with Gimnastic, and the GD is similar. Actually, thinking about it, it must go on H2H, as Gimnastic have won 1 and drawn 1 against Levante this season, so if they finished level, Gimnastic would finish above Levante.

Menawhile Ciudad de Murcia kept their hopes alive with a 90th minute winner in the derby.

Hehe, nice to see someone to post my bets here. Anyway red card for Murcia in first halp didnt help me too much, but Murcia hit the post in the second half. Very equal game with 1 more player for Ciudad since first half. Pure value mates.
