4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

Hello world. cooeee eh up it's me! From behind a pile of EMPTY cigarette packets i say hello to you all. I am full of anxiety as i really want to post this thread so as i can get a link to bet365 for ass and also a link to this thread. I must resist. relax. this is a thread about aussie football betting not a thread about aussie football odds. what good is me startign a thread just with odds? I suppose that they can come. I wont lie to you all i am only here as ive buggered up the frontpage. 5 bloody weeks that took me. Loads of work. Still a fresh slate with extra knowledge is a good thing if you can deal with it. anyhow thats me over that. Lets have a look down the list.

Clidtonhill v Dandy looks a tough one. Everyone was telling me to 'back Cliftonhill' last week on the Victoria forum but my bets where on and they duely obliged. I did fancy them myself but i think it was more to do with Kingston being poor. Interresting to read more on that one or even ask but i know i will have avoidance issues over missing their advice and it would take a day out for me to regain enough compusure to look at the thread and ask. Its blighting my betting. Phoned the doctor this morning to tell him i couldnt come and if we could just do it by phone. They said that they would phone me back. My phones broken and on permanent 'off' unless i hold down the wee button manauallly. I was asleep about the time. Shit im off track again soz. aye dandy are in great shape and Clifton hill have recruited well and are starting to look good. Skybet could possibly be well out of line with the 5/2 they offer on Clifton hill. the 7/4 seemed about right to me.

Usually now i would have a cig. I have none. Williamstown you could like at 11/10 with William Hill. Just on pure stats etc. Maribyrnong on a terrible run and Williamstown's form possibly being actually ok when you look into it. Suppose the price is about right mind. Be interested in reading or askign about it though. something could swing it for me.

Werribee at home you have to like. I will need to look at their w/l/d ratio for the past 3 seasons but i know for a fact that they have only lost one game at home in all that time. here we go-

unbeaten at home in vic 4 2006
Aussie Soccer Stats - Victoria Div 4

Only thomastown beat them on Div 1 2007
Aussie Soccer Stats - Victoria Div 1

i think that should be div 2

and their again unbeaten at home. 10/11 with Wiulliam Hill i have to like and from initial inspection N geelong are worth taking on. k i should grab a coffee. try and do many things at once not one thing many times. Here's bet365 odds for this week-

Re: 4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

Lets first of all work out my finacial situation this week...i will have no money in my pocket by Friday so infact i need to sort my bets out today. Fcuuk i know how Figaroo feels now. No late info for me. Maybe i could start a 60p a minute phone line and it would pay for me to keep up to date right to the last minute. Nah thats goes against everything that lets me exist. You can have my time today FOR FREE at TDP.

Victoria division 3 is a bit too tight for me this season. Tight this week too. Nothing appeals. Why do they not appeal? Lets see

Docaster away from home i would usually be screaming about. their defat at Stonnington last time away sets off a few alarm bells. Casey Comets came down last season and their defeat of Doncaster earlier the season make me think Doncaster at 6/5 is no price to take.

Chelsea i should be looking at as that 4/7 looks k for them. Should be 1/2 poss. Not the sort of price im interested in backing but maybe when i look i could see them being quite a solid pick for the price.

Northcote are the team to beat this season and are looking strong and on a great run. Diamond valley look a shadow of themselves this season and even that win at stonnigton has debatable form. 1/2 is no price for me and it wouldnt suprise me if Diamond could get a draw. Just a big no bet for me.

Port Melbourne you could possibly make a case for but they hardly seem a team to trust. Strikers had a couple sent off 2 games ago and should still be missing. o k result at northcote. shite prce on them at home. Just a no bet for me on the face of it.

South Springvale should win just as the odds suggest. Wavely nt looking better with the new manager and poss still probs there. I dont like 1/3 shots chaps im afraid so i pass over this for now. good luck to those that will no doubt add them to a line.

I could fall out with SAMOAN though and take Knox at 13/8 with William Hill. aye i maybe could.

Re: 4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

Geelong Ranger's form looks great when you compare it to Northern Sunshines. Fcuk this looks a corker to me. heh heh 4/5 all round Im for some of that methinks. N Sunshine came up this season and looks lioke their starting to struggle Geelong Rangers have always been knockig about the top of this league and maybe this season it could be their year. Lets double check that. well middle table and above. Not an outstanding home record either. in cracking form this season though and getting some good results, beating the teams they should and scoring goals. aye i like Geelong Rangers a lot and im thinking a few of you will too. Unbeaten in their last 8 Geelong Rangers i note.

Vic 5 looks pretty tough again this week. Springvale bloody city eh? i hate them. im never backign them again. Actually its Southern suburbs i hate more. I would love to take Doveton this week to beat them. I might. this aint a personal hate thing im just thinking that Doveton got a good win in their derby with Berwick last week and could be 'on their way back' Add in a bit of SS hatred and that 9/4 on doveton starts to look good. Nah i will need to look at it. Croydon City look too short and i would love to take Berwick to beat Morwell but on the face of it how could i? aye nothing really appeals in vic 5 which is probably my fav division in all the aussie leagues.

Early pace setters cockburn and Mandurah got well and truly pumped last week so that makes this one a bit tricky. Doesnt appeal. Inglewood are coming good this season but that 1/4 price is just plain rude. I suppose lookign at the table justifies this price though. Sorrento good at home and coming good v Swan who reserve their best performances at home. If i could get a slightly better price than the 8/11 i could be interested in the home. western Knights v Perth i just wouldnt like to try and predict.

Wanneroo at 8/11 at Hills looks about the best bet in Western division One to me. Forrestfield's kids just dont seem to want to start getting results this season. wanneroo have had some hard games of late..and you have to suppose that the price on reflection could be about right. Nah if both teams play to their best then wanneroo are worth taking and i could well take them. the games involving Morley and Gosnells are great quandries to me. I would be interested in both at the odds but SWP at home are immense and are going great guns this season and Morleys defeat last week suprised me greatly. South West Pheonix could be a great bet but it would be no suprise for me to see morley getting something. i want all 3 options so no bet. Likewise with Gosnell Pk. I like them at the mo but ive under estimated Queens Pk. Well i did last week. Actually easier for me to say no bet all round in div one barr possibly Wanneroo.

Re: 4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

I'll see what scraps i can find on the victoria forum on last time out games
soccer-forum.net • Index page

this does look a bit scrappy

Quote:
Thunder to strong. Should have been 4-1 up at half time but the goals decided to come in the second half.
Quote:
3-0 to Comets after half an hour, then donny got 1 back b4 halftime. 2nd half big mlads score a header against his old side, but donny couldnt pinch another 1 even tho they had some great chances. Acsy kept comets in the lead, well done big balls!
Quote:
East dominated the first half almost absolutely in both territory and possession. For the first 20 minutes the visitors struggled to even get out of their own half. Slowly played their way into the game after that, but the midfield failed to deliver anything remotely resembling decent supply. East's final balls let them down, there was a crossbar hit, but on the half hour mark Gaffar strolled in and finally gave East the lead they deserved. East scored again just before half time, Alghazaly getting that goal.

2nd half quite different. Ballarat came out with a higher level of intensity, East a little all over the place in midfield and defence, the attacks from the visitors looking more promising as the half wore on. They had a freekick well saved, and then received a penalty which was very well taken. Game on and both sides looking for the goal, with rushed end to end stuff ensuing, before late in the game Gaffar met a cross at the far post and headed over the keeper for 3-1 and the win.

Overall, this game was a bit of a wakeup call for both sides. For East, hopefully they've learnt that playing one half, even going up 2-0 is not enough, and that the game is 90 minutes long, not 45. For the Red Devils, that perhaps state 2 won't be a stroll in the park, and that against the league's better teams you better have your a-game right on from the start. By all rights they should have been out of the game at half time, but they ended up doing well in the 2nd half, and a draw would not have been a harsh result for both sides, but you always have the upper hand if you have the lead, whivch was a problem for East last year, often falling behind.
Quote:
I agree with the assessment that Altona East should have put the game away much earlier - maybe by half-time. But good on Ballarat for keeping up the fight that got them right back in it. Not until Altona East's late third, was the game wrapped up.

bah ive got private messages from folks on that victoria forum that i cant look at. i promised to do a website for someone when i was drunk for footie info. Also i have a feeling that i am the only person in britain sitting here with the fire on full. Its so cosy.
That last fella sounds a bit of a cnut though. there's supposed to be a Morewell v Berwick report here but i can never find it. Im gonna go look for some club sites again. At least for those i am interested in. Like most things in my life it's all collapsed. the frontpage on TDP is all to blame and now it lies in ruins too

Tell me if you find it. bah my computer is again full of viruses. I think they came as standard with e XP i got off a warez forum. Need to sort that too. Time for a reboot i think. are humans capable of a reboot? I think they call it a rest. I dont know how to relax. Ok START>>Turn off kompressaur

Re: 4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

As the reality of my prediciment kicks in i become less and less inclined to stay awake. If my wages where to turn up then that would sort me out for the day at least. If i could turn and take a cig from a well made cig packet that would inspire me. intead all i can do is stare at my feet. Maybe a shortlist would cheer me up. I am due to go out tomorrow and i might just have to go so high street prices will be made available to me. still be lookign at a 'saver' on bet365 before i lose all my poker money trying to outplay myself.

Geelong Rangers 4/5
Werribee 10/11 hills
look good to me and i cant see how i wont be on either.

Chelsea 4/7
Knox city 13/8 Hills
I want to consider a bit and i could have them withe above 2 in a lesser line

sorrento and Wanneroo i want to consider too.

Re: 4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

EARLY THOUGHTS

KEILOR - Like their recent form and fancy an upset. Looking at the tables though, I was expecting
5/1 and not sure at 4's.

BALLARAT - Purely statistical with East unbeaten in their last 11 away games. I would always tend
be against such teams as it is hard to keep such runs going. I also noticed with
interest that the Outlook tipped a draw as did all 10 pundits in the xperts choice section.
As there is no such thing as a certain draw, I am keen on a positive result.

MARIBYRNONG - Again more statistical than anything, as 10 home games without a win is a long run.
The 2 - 2 draw with 3rd placed Ballarat 4 games ago, also proves they are capable
of getting a result.

DONCASTER - I am always prepared to ignore a team's best and worst results and put them down to
" blips ". It is also possible that Stonny have just started to play well and Doncaster were
simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

YARRAVILLE - Have tended to be against LaTrobe recently and happy to be so again.

WEST ADELAIDE - Looks tight on paper, but I think W A are a touch better

PLAYFORD - Look in good form and confident they can overturn the reverse fixture.

sorry SAMOAN thats me on the drink. trying to run this place is enough to turn you to the drink. as you can see i don't fancy yours much at all SAMOAN. Just being honest.

Transfer window closed yesterday in the Victoria leagues. I hear Berwick have lost their star player to Casey comets and most are expecting them to struggle a bit without him.

Paddy Power have odds out i see. Whilst Ladbrokes seem to have gave up.

Doveton 2 sent off last week

Quote:
The Football West State Premier League supported by PowerPlay Sports & the Sunday Times moves into the half way point of the season in what will be a crucial round of matches for a number of clubs.

Incredibly, only five points separate first to ninth on the league table, meaning the teams who can record three points this weekend can establish a mini break over their rivals.

The Match of the Week takes us to Dalmatinac Park where Cockburn City host Mandurah City in what promises to be a mouth watering contest with both sides in the top four. The Cockerels are only off top spot on goal difference and have the opportunity to bounce back from their 6-2 thrashing at the hands of Sorrento in the last round. Johny Mirco is the club’s leading scorer with eight strikes and the WA State team player will be the key man to stop if Mandurah are to get anything from the game.

The Peel side has surprised everyone but themselves so far this season with some impressive performances. Andy Brown is the enforcer in the middle of the park and will be the key to City’s chances, whilst up front top marksman Phil O’Callaghan will be looking to build on his 11 goals so far this season

League leaders Sorrento welcome the inconsistent Swan IC to Percy Doyle reserve knowing that three points at home are vital to maintain their assault on the league title. The Gulls have the potential to put Swan to the sword, however if the Francis Street side turn up on song, this could be an entertaining clash with plenty of goals.

ECU Joondalup will make the trip down to Litis Staidum for their clash with Floreat Athena in what promises to be a titanic tussle. Both sides are locked on 16 points and while still within striking range of the top sides, will not want to drop points and concede further ground. ECU striker Ian McMurray will be the man to watch, with the big striker coming off a bag of goals last week which takes his tally for the season to 10.

Soccer Pools Cup semi finalists Western Knights will entertain Graham Normanton’s Perth SC at Nash Field. The Knights are coming off a 3-2 victory over cellar dweller Armadale last weekend but will find the going tougher this week against a Perth side that will go all out to claim the three points to close the gap to the top of the league. Twin strike pair Andreas Oliveira and David Onoforo have found form and will be tough to stop on the small Nash Field pitch and will be keen to avenge their 0-3 Soccer Pools cup defeat at home to the Knights a fortnight ago.

High flying Inglewood United, currently in third position, welcome Fremantle to the Clipsal Stadium with the home side looking to condemn the visitors to another loss, whilst at the same time keeping themselves at the top end of the table. Fremantle are rooted to the bottom of the Football West State Premier League and unless their form takes a turn for the better soon, will find themselves struggling for survival come season’s end.

Stirling Lions will face a tough test against a resurgent Armadale at Macedonia Park, with Brad Hassell’s men finding some form in recent weeks. Many observers believe they were unlucky to leave empty handed from their most recent outing, a 3-2 defeat to Western Knights and with their recent signing James Robinson combining with the return of Gary Faria, they could prove a handful for the Lions rear guard.

Looks like Armadale have picked up 5 'handy' players and are expected to go well. Just a shame they must be playing on a sunday this week.

hold on ones ex Rangers and ones ex Kilmarnock. this is interesting. I remember when they got Alex Williams the season before last and he was monumental for them.

James Robinson, John Lund and Naohiro Oishi - imports

I presume the first 2 are the scottish lads. Never heard of them. nah Robinson is an english dude and played last week. scored 2 he did. ex maldon town
Armadale FC

Looks like that 8/11 on Sorrento is the best we're gonna get. I think i might take a little of it. Id give you 4/6 on them. If team news is good i think i will. They have been going the right way and that resounding win v Mandurah is enough to suggest to me it aint gonna stop. Strong at home, strong all over the park. Swan have always been an avg team and away from home aint nothing great. It could end up 5-3 or similar but i can't see sorrento's title charge stopping just yet. My main 2 Werribee and N Geelong could compliment my odds on home nicely.

Re: 4th July: Aussie Soccer - Independance Day!

Not much info flying around, but opinion on the SA site seems to be aginst West Adelaide. NAB have a full squad to choose from and rumours are that West Adelaide are carrying a couple of injuries. Too close to call for me so am bailing out of this one. Was originally looking at Berwick to maybe get something this week, but now happy to go with Morwell at a price which is about right.

I am adding Stonnington to my list, despite struggling with their form lines. Casey v Donnie is also to tight to call and with regret I am leaving Doncaster out. I am not a great draw backer, but do fancy the spoils will be shared between Springvale and Sandringham.

Ah i made it back here eventually SAMOAN. Im still skint. Just my 2 on so far and unless i work some wonders at the poker table whilst in bad form i wont be having anymore. Ive had no meney at all for 3 months. It's a bummer. still everything thats broken can be fixed. I'll go have a last look about but my heart aint in it when i have no money. good luck for the morning SAMOAN. I should have aSs up to date nice and early too as i fear an early night tonight due to me wanting to start going out again but im skint.

Aye i'm like you on the Berwick morewell game SAMOAN. I think that player loss with Berwick swings it in Morewell's favour at the odds. Actually the player thats left Berwick is away to Casey Comets. aye sod it. come on werribee and N geelong. I could do with it

good luck folks

Got a six timer taken down by the scum whom are S Springvale @3/10 no less. Had some good things in WA, namely Sorrento , Wanneroo and Toros. That lot must have been out on the piss all day friday. Every time I get done on the Aussies, it's always a long odds on shot

Werribee screwed me Jackie. N Geelong, Sorrento, chelsea and wanneroo all done the business but it means nothing. 2nd loss at home in nearly 4 years for werribee and i took them. Maybe i should have looked at it more closely
