Re: LA Galaxy v Chivas 9th June

Derby match here between the two sides and i will beon Chivas but their odds are a bit stingy to be honest and i did think we could maybe get around 3/1 on them, maybe we will when more books release their odds.

LA continuing failure to convert their chances si costing them and are riding a bad losing streak.

Chivas on the other hand are playing some great attacking football and are beginning to get into a rythem although their away form is a bit of a worry but i don't think i can pass them up against such a poor LA side missing many of its stars.

Will be back tomorow or so with some information.

Re: LA Galaxy v Chivas 9th June

I think you have to back Chivas, especially against LA. I pretty much think you have to back anyone playing LA these days, until they can prove otherwise.

I'll scan some US boards and post back what I can later.

LA fired their coach Steve Sampson today--PR here

This has been in the works for a while now. You never know how a team will respond to something like this.

What are your thoughts Kiko?

Always the same isn't it. You quite fancy a bet then something like this happens and gives you plenty to think about doesn't it.

The fans etc were never a Sampson fan and never got behind him so im sure thye will be pleased about it and let it show tomorow for the game.

The thing is, you could put the worlds best coach in charge of LA at the minute but there isn't much difference he could make due to their starts missing or being injured and the lack of depth in the squad.

Could actually possibly see the Chivas prize increase now come kick off if we are lucky.

Will post my final thoughts possibly tonight but more likely in the morning.

USA MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER
02:00AML.A Galaxy -vs- CD Chivas USA0/0.5-0.930.852.5/3-0.870.77

Asian hcp odds Kiko & sponger, due to the circumstances Chivas on a/hcp would be a better choice in that we win half the stakes if the game ends in a draw.

Definately Prinze.

I am going to post up after i finish off my tea just now and im going to go with Chivas outright and was going to suggest a small cover on the draw as its a big danger i think.

Re: LA Galaxy v Chivas 9th June

I think things are really setting up nicely for Chivas to win their first Classico. Chivas will probably never have a better situation than this to beat the Gals. They will be pushing hard. No telling how LA responds, my gut says they get rolled tonight. Regardless, I'm gonna follow you guys and throw a safety net in there as well.

Most of the Chivas boards see nothing but a win tonight, on the other hand, most of the Gal boards see their team working their asses off tonight for their new coach.

I'll keep an eye on things

Re: LA Galaxy v Chivas 9th June

LA Galaxy v Chivas

Even this early on in the season this is a pretty huge game for both sides really. Chivas are already 3 points ahead of LA who sit at the bottom of their conference but Chivas also have 3 games in hand on them so a win for them here would be huge.

Likewise LA are in real need for a win here tonight but who can back them? 6 losses in a row, 1 goal scored in their last 6 games and a trio of players (Donovan, Albright and Glen) at the WC which are huge players for them and LA have had no answers without them. Add to this the fact that you have 2 players injured in Jones and Vagenas who are also big players for the side and you really wonder where LA's points are going to come from right now.

They sacked their coach Sampson a couple of days ago and he has been replaced by ex Grimbsy Town player Frank Yallop. He has had experience in the MLS before and done fairly well but its going to be very difficult to turn around a side that will be at rock bottom right now especially with such short space of time to work with them.

They have absolutely no quality going forward imo at the minute and not a player who will be able to stick the ball in the net regularly while the stars are away on WC duty.

Their defence is still pretty tough to break down to be fair to them with Marshall really standing up and he as been a stand out in recent games for me but they are still a bit thin with Albright missing.

For Chivas, if they perform to their high levels recently i have no worries about them winning this game as they are by far the better side at the moment.

Still to win away from home so far but they have played very well in many of the games and on another day would have come away with the 3 points.

Also a bit of unfinished business to come about too as they were robbed earlier in the season v LA when they conceded two goals in the last 10 minutes to lose the game when they were 1-0 up and cruising prior to that.

Upfront they are a joy to watch. Palencia and Garcia pulling the strings and creating plenty of chances as well as scoring too with both having 2 goals to their name so far.

Razov has been a big surprise and he is just what Chivas have been crying out for, a goalscorer who can regularly put the ball in the net.

For all the attacking joy to watch their defence has been a bit of an unsung hero so far imo.

3 clean sheets so far and you would have never have thought it possible after last seasons campaign but fair play to the management, they have reshuffled the side and Chivas actually look a very dangerous side this season who if luck goes their way could really do something in the play offs.

No real injury worries for Chivas but they do miss two quality players in O Brien and Suarez who are at the WC but they have coped very well without them unlike LA.

To sum up, the game is there for Chivas if they want it and it will all come down to their hunger here as they are a far better outfit than LA just now and probably wont get a better chance to beat an out of sorts LA side again.

The 3.25 available on Chivas is very generous when you look at the current state of affairs with both sides and i will quite happily have a good chunk on that. But i would advise a bit of cover on the draw as i do think its a bit of a danger due to LA's defence.

Chivas to win @ 3.25 Betfair
Draw(small cover) @ 3.25 Betfair

Yeah i agree with you.

The thing is for me, they can work as hard as they like LA. The fact is they have no quality at the minute and this is what it will come down to in the end.

Would've rather they dismissed Sampson after tonight but we can't have everything.

Good luck guys

Re: LA Galaxy v Chivas 9th June

Just going to add another bet i quite like the look of although its a bit of a dodgy one mainly due to the potential explosiveness of Chivas.

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.05 Centrebet

Like i say its a dangerous bet and im only adding it for a bit of added interest. Anyways, you have an LA side struggling to score goals but quite solid at the back, espcially at home up against a side who can score goals but have had a big improvement on the defensive front this season.

I was actually expecting the odds to be the other way around if im honest so was quite surprised to see it as high as it was.

Hey Igor...Do you have a link for me where i could watch the game?

I have subscribed to mlsnet.com and i will get to view most games there but they aren't showing live coverage tonight, only audio and i didn't purchase the audio deal

Early signs are good with Chivas really taking the game to LA it seems. Now lets hope they don't sit back now and keep at it the way they have been
