I don't speak Portugese though JYD but I do have a curious mind and google. Apparently Corinthians have 11 players out. They have lost the last four games. Cruzeiro are top with a record of 6/3/1 and 4/1/0 at home.

Currently Betfair goes 1.85 with Blue Square best odds at 1.8.

Cruzerio - Corinthians

On early pick from Brasiliero becouse odds are droping fast and here is the answer why? Timao will play once more without all important players agains Cruzeiro. Marcelo Mattos (influental defensive midlefielder), Marcelinho Carioca, Coelho (good right lateral) and Édson are all out. Eduardo Ratinho is with U20 Brasilian selection, Sebá and Marcus Vinícius are suspended, and 3 key players: Mascherano, Ricardinho and Tevez are still on vacation after world cup. Coach Geninho said that they must play with players they have, but in next round most of players will be back and they will start to fight they way up. He said that he will most probably play with this 11 players: Sílvio Luiz; Wescley, Betão e André Leone; Rosinei, Bruno Octávio, Carlos Alberto, Roger e Gustavo Nery; Nilmar e Rafael Moura.
Ok let we see what we have there. 3 defenders, Wesley (young central defender, 22 years old I think that he is on loan here), Betao (22 years old) and Leone (well Leone is not so young 26 yrs.) are very young defenders.

In midlefield Geninho will play with 5 players, but Gustavo Nery is left lateral with more defensive role. Rosonei will most probably play at right side, and Roger and Carlos Alberto will be creative spark in midlefield. BUT... Roger had a bunch of problems this season. Supporters are against him becouse his mediocre games this season, and his form is bellow average, Carlos Alberto on the other side is very upredictable player, no doubt he is great potential, but he has mental problems, and it's question how he will play every game. Bruno Octavio is 21 year old defensive midlefielder who will substitute Mascherano and Mattos position.

Forward Nilmar will play with Rafael Moura 23 yrs old striker. Well Nilmar showed in first 10 games that he needs a lot of chances to score, and that he plays much better with Tevez up front. We will see.
Cruzeiro on the other side will play with all available players and they are great squad IMHO. Maybe the best offensive force in Brasiliero SerieA. They played 5 games so far at home and have impresive 4-1-0 record with goal difference 13-4.
Odds are dropping fast, but 1.85 is still good enough for me, becouse I see home victory here, and everithing over 1.70 is worth taking for medium stakes.

International - Ponte Preta

*Although International want to keep track with Cruzeiro and fight for Brasiliense Serie A championship, they have one more important game in mind right now. In few days they play in 1/4 final of Copa Libertadores against LDU, and coach Abel Braga said that is most important game for them. But Abel Braga said also that he will rest nobody except players that are suspended or injured for this game. Élder Granja, great right lateral is injured, Edinho and Jorge Wagner, are suspended, and in last day experienced Rubens Cardoso, got injured, and he will be substituted with young 18 year old Ramon (U20 selection player).

*Ponte Preta ha pretty solid run after they sacked Oswaldo Alvarez, after 5-2 loss against Parana in 8th round, his substitution on the bench is Marco Aurélio Moreira, and P.Preta had 2 wins after that (against Juventude and Figueirense). They lost 2 players in this short brake: André Silva (somewhere in Turkey) and Da Silva (given free transfer). Coach Marco Aurélio Moreira wanted to play with best 11 but in last minute he had problems. Left lateral Luciano Baiano (problems with right knee) and Rafael Santos (muscular pains in right thigh), if we add on that list suspended best forward Luís Mário, Ponte Preta will have problems with best 11.

Figueirense - Santos

*In this game everything is against Santos. They won last time against Figuerirense in this stadium 13. march 1997, in Brasilian Cup. After that 3 wins for home team. Wanderley Luxemburgo will have some problems with his squad for this one. Reinaldo, Geílson, Jonas and Maldonado, are all out, and Fabinho is away, becouse he is in talks with French side Touluse. Becouse of this missings, Luxemburgo will play with 3 defenders (Manzur, Luiz Alberto e Domingos), and not in his favorite formation 4-4-2. Pretty hard time for Santos side, hwo have only one victory in last 5 games.

*Home side lays on 8th position right now and they are dreaming about Copa Libertadores spot at the end of the season. They are pretty solid home side and they have 2-1-1 record at home ground this season. Coach Waldemar Lemos have sweet problems becouse he has all squad healty and ready. He said that he will try to beat Santos in 4-4-2 formation, and that he will play with 2 forwards Schwenck and Soares.
