Re: Austrian New Season:18th/19th July

also from the same site-

(6.7 Rapid) Midfielder Stefan Kulovits, 23, will be sidelined for the start of the Bundesliga season after damaging a ligament in his right knee during a practice match. The Austrian international will be out of action for six weeks.
(5.7 GAK) GAK have completed the transfer of Togo defender Eric Akoto from league rivals Admira Wacker Modling. The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract until 2007. Akoto has made 17 appearances for Admira last season.

(29.6 Austria V) Austria Vienna have signed defender Gerd Wimmer on a one-year free transfer deal from Admira Wacker Modling. The 29-year-old right back played 25 Austrian league games last season.

(29.6 Rapid) Rapid Vienna have recruited Croatian forward Mate Bilic from Spanish second division side Lleida. The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Austrian club.

(20.6 Salzburg) Red Bull Salzburg have announced the arrival of Swiss international striker Johan Vonlanthen from PSV Eindhoven. The 20-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Brescia in Italy and Breda in the Netherlands. Salzburg have also recruited Czech midfielder Karel Pitak, 26, from Slavia Prague and Austrian goalkeeper Ramazan Ozcan, 21, from Austria Lustenau

Re: Austrian/Swiss New Season:18th/19th July

Austria Wien - GAK 1

the first round... austria lost a lot of players but i think they are still good enough to be 2. or 3. ... they are champion and playing at home, so gak must have a great day to beat them... gak has financial problems, but they are not so important, but they haven't been able to buy good players... so i think austria is starting into the new season with a homewin...

SCR Altach - Pasching 1-1X

pasching lost important players (pichlmann & vorisek), and their coach, who was very very important! scr altach is very strong at home so i dont think that pasching is going to win in altach ... 1X ~ 1,45-1,50, 1 ~ 2,70

Rapid Wien - Mattersburg UNDER

so they are ok in the defense but in the offense, there are some problems: marek kincl seems to be injured, mate bilic is a new striker, he played only the last 3 friendlies, erwin hoffer is in poland (U19) and mario bazina played only 2 friendlies...

24.08.2003 T-Mobile Bundesliga SV MATTERSBURG vs. SK RAPID WIEN 1:4

Sturm Graz - Tirol 2

sturm = financial problems, new trainer, injuries....
tirol has also a new coach, but most of the players are really happy to have such a good coach (former sparta prague coach) ... its hard to say something before the 1st round, but for ~ 3,8 it is worth a try, but small!

Re: Austrian/Swiss New Season:18th/19th July

Good to see you fdl for the new season. Does anyone have a link to last years tables etc thanks? Werent Superfud really pretty dire. Their a new team arent they?

I quite like the sound of Altach to beat them fdl if the teams news etc is favourable.

thanks

Anyone else into some austrian football? You'll get crazy people in asking for draws as theyve read austrian for australian fdl
