Re: Russian Premier League (16th July)
Shinnik - Lokomotiv Moscow
Shinnik are bottom of the table but they could jump out of the relegation zone if they beat Lokomotiv. The hosts face a hard task as they are without suspended forward Alexander Shirko, while the visitors are without Vadim Yevseev and Larry Kingston (both suspended) and Chelidze and Traore are injured.
Tom Tomsk - Spartak Moscow
Spartak Moscow could head the table for three days if they get three points against Tom as they did it last year when Alexander Pavlenko’s strike was the only game of the match. However Pavlenko is injured for the visitors, as well as second-choice keeper Zuev, while the hosts have no injury worries and are unbeaten at home so far.
Saturn - Spartak Nalchik
Spartak Nalchik also could lead the race – something they have never done in history – if they beat Saturn Ramenskoe away. The hosts are still without striker Yakubko, while the visitors’ manager Yuri Krasnojan has no injury headaches.
Amkar Perm - Luch Energia
Amkar Perm conceded ten goals in the last two games and they will try to shake the horrors of when they host Luch Energia. The hosts are without Lavrik and Paramonov, while the visitors, who have never won away this season, are without injured Ivanov, Petukhov and Romanov.
Rostov - Krilya Sovetov
Finally, Rostov will try to build on their surprise success against CSKA when they entertain Krilya Sovetov at home. The visitors are also boosted with midweek’s 6-1 win against Amkar but they will be without Kovba and Nemov, while the hosts have a fully fit squad.
