Dinamo Zagreb - HNK Rijeka 1 @ cca. 1,50
The odds for home win is not big on internet. Here in Croatia we can find 1,70, and I need to take this. Dinamo won last year championship with 11 points ahead of 2nd placed Rijeka, which took Croatian Cup for second year in row.
I should say that Dinamo is stronger than last year. Only Bosnjak left the club to join Genk. Bosnjak was best scorer last year ahead of Eduardo 20, Vugrinec and Sharbini with 15 both. How can I say that Dinamo is stronger than last year then? Simple, they bought Vugrinec from Rijeka. Vugrinec not played whole season last year so if he did that, I'm sure that he will take best score award. Bosnjak played with Eduardo in attack last year. Dinamo's coach Kuze has said that Dinamo will play different tactics in Europe and in domestic championship. Tomorow, I'm sure that they will play with Eduardo in front, and Vugrinec and Modric behind him. Dinamo was in Switzerland to prepare for new season, beat there Auxerre, Yverdon, then draw with Basel and Sochaux, and lost to Shakhtar Doneck. Before that they beat Omonia Nicosia in Slovenia 6-1 (6-0). Exept Vugrinec, Ljubojevic came back from St.Gallen loan, Mario Cvitanovic came fron Italian 2nd league, and few days ago Jasmin Agic came back after 1,5 years spending in South Korea. Rijeka want to sign Agic but he choose Dinamo because he is not popular in Rijeka.
Rijeka lost to best players last season. Vugrinec and Novakovic, but signed Mihael Mikic from Kaiserslautern (Mikic was Dinamo youth player), veteran Elvir Bolic and Nino Bule. Also Fredy Bobic left the club. Think that Rijeka is surely withou Vugrinec and Novakovic weaker then last year. Rijeka draw with Omonia at home last week in
UEFA cup, the same Omonia witch Dinamo beat 20 days ago with 6-1!!! I didn't saw that game, but in report I can se that Rijeka defence had a problem with omonia striker Mousa which didn't make a contact with ball in match against Dinamo in first half when Dinamo played in first squad.
Dinamo had some injury problems. Captain Mamic is out (he didn't played in preseason matches), Chago had surgery few days ago and will be out for 4 weeks, Buljat and Carlos are with some slight problems but I'm sure that they will play. Even without Mamic and Chago, DInamo is strong. Agic will make debute in place of one of them, and second one defensive midfield will be Vukojevic.
Last year Dinamo won 2 games, 1 was draw, and one Rijeka wictory with Vugrinec scored both goals.
I can't see Rijeka have big chance here.
* note that I'm Dinamo fan, and this is my point of view
