Does anyone have any links to previews for the french 1st division? Is there still an uncomingly amount of draws and low scoring games?

Re: French Leagues: 11th - 13th Aug

In last weeks in french2 there were many goals , unlike last season.

IMO , Best bet of tonight is :
METZ (-1) 10/10

Then: Ajaccio (0) 7/10

Bastia will win tonight 10/10 @ 1.55
or Bastia (-1) 10/10 @1.975

Guingamp - Le Havre smells DRAW but DRAW has a very low chance.
So No bet status for me.

I think everyone backing Bastia just shit their pants...they are losing 1:0 at HT. I hope they can rally.

MonacoSt. Etienne

Pick:
Monaco
Odds: 1.95 @ BetFair
Stake: 2/10

Both teams started the season very bad with losses. Monaco lost 1:0 from Nancy (away) in the first round and St. Etienne lost at home 1:2 from Sochaux. St. Etienne was known as team that is playing much better in front of their own fans and they played bad in the first round.

Monaco is having a team that is capable of achieving a place that brings European football for the next season and I must admin I like their team. With Kallon, Di Vaio and new signing Koller they are having one of the strongest attacking lines in the league. They are not bad at the back either. Their only disadvantage is that they are not having great support when they are playing at home.

St. Etienne in my opinion will fight against relegation this season. The only reason for that is that they are not good enough. Their coach wants his players to bounce back after the loss in the first round but he admits that will be tough playing against team that posses quality players like Monaco.

I expect Monaco to dictate the tempo and I believe that they are good enough to score against St. Etienne and knowing that St. Etienne have never won in Monaco from 1980. They failed to take all points for 26 years and I hope that they won’t break the curse on this match.

Re: French Leagues: 11th - 13th Aug

LyonToulouse

Pick: Lyon (-1.25)
Odds: 1.80 @ Easybets
Stake: 4/10

After convincing win in the first round against Nantes away 1:3 even without many important players, Lyon confirmed everyone’s expectations that they are main candidates for winning the championship again.

Toulouse had very bad schedule in the first two rounds playing away against two candidates for the top of the table and maybe two strongest teams in the league, Bordeaux and Lyon. They lost the first match from Bordeaux with 2:0

Lyon for this match will welcome back many of the missing players from the first round, the players who were on vacation after the World Cup. Houllier can count on Jouninho, Malouda, Coupet and Tiago. Also Abidal, Benhamida, Idangar, Hima, Govou, Wiltord, Müller, Beynié, Bettiol, Remy are doubtful for this match, but I can see many of them playing against Toulouse. Like Houllier said, it is very important for the team to start well in the first matches and insist his players to be concentrated.

Toulouse’s coach is expected to make some changes in the team after the loss from Bordeaux, Arribagé and Constant to replace Capoue and Taïder.Toulouse, as I said in my preview for their previous match, can only be a mid-table team. Although they brought great player in the name of Elmander, they do not posses enough quality to match with strong teams, in this case Lyon. For this match Toulouse will be without:Santos, Congré, Pentecôte, Taider who are all injured.

I expect Lyon to dominate and to show why is the best team in France for last few years. This is their first match in front of their fans and the players will want to show that they are untouchable in their own stadium. I cannot see any team matching Lyon at home and especially not teams like Toulouse who can see their only chance through counter attacks. I hope this match will not end like the meeting from the previous season when Toulouse managed to get 1:1 draw on this stadium. I hope that Lyon players will want to show on Toulouse that that night was only a bad night for them and that Lyon is the strongest team in the league. I cannot believe that I am betting on handicap on team that leads Houllier, but Lyon too much for Toulouse at the moment.

Re: French Leagues: 11th - 13th Aug

Nancy - Sedan 1@1.9 Ladbrokes

This will be low scoring game and little adventage I give to home team. They had a good game against Monaco in previous round and I think they'll repeat it. Sedan will defend in this one so I suggest UNDER
