MONACO - LE MANS

The BOUNDARY match for MONACO. All for the win today because next match play away in BORDAUX. Two basic players return to defense line and one in attack line.

LE MANS give approximately easy games in the last 6 weeks. In this match had good attack but medium defense.

I believe the MONACO attack line score tonight at least two goals.

I play homewin with 1.85 in BETFAIR.

Marseille-vs-Toulouse

om seem slow down since they lost to 10-men struggling nantes. thursday they just lost again in uefa to mlada 4-2.

toulouse is better than ever. since the first match that they lose to bordeaux 2-0,they never lose again.....the only team that can share point from lyon this year is toulouse, moreover they beat lille 3-1 away.

preview&squad at http://forum.french-football.com/viewtopic.php?id=212

suspended in this game are manzare(toulouse) and ribery(om)

om just have the midweek match,no ribery is a blow...........

take toulouse with +1 ah @ 0.74
good luck

Re: French Football 29th Sept - 2nd Oct

Auxerre v Nantes

Auxerre News

Auxerre have yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season. Changing this statisitic for tomorrows game is going to be tough considering the team news.

Auxerre have a new defensive partnership for tomorrows game against Nantes. Grichting and Kalabane will deputise for first choice pairing Mignot(suspended) and Kaboul(injured). Grichting has featured in the Auxerre team twice this season, in the 1-1 draw with Valenciennes and the 3-0 home defeat by Marseille. Kalabane has played twice as a substitute and has only played 49 minutes of football.

Auxerre have had a great month. On Thursday they reached the Uefa Cup group stages, beating Dinamo Zagreb 3-1 at home. There are also on an unbeaten run of 6 games (league, French Cup, Uefa). However they must be looking forward to the International break as they've played a lot of games recently. This will be Auxerre's 6th match in 17 days.

Nantes News

Nantes caused a big upset last week when they defeated Marseille 2-1 at home. Coach George Eo will hope his side can build on last weeks result after a poor start to the season.

Nantes are another side that have still to keep a clean sheet this season. Manager Eo dropped first choice goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic after poor form. Briant played against Marseille and Heurtebis was in goal against Lille.

Nantes will miss Argentinian defender Mauro Cetto(5 appearances) through suspension.

Summary

I was going to go for Nantes(+0.5) but I just can't ignore the fact they are poor away from home. They've also got a terrible record in Auxerre. Neither team has kept a clean sheet this season and both teams have problems in defence for the match so I prefer to go for overs.

Re: French Football 29th Sept - 2nd Oct

Amiens-Bastia:

Amiens look the best bet today..Amiens play without only suspended defender Sami..Last week a good 3-1 away win Istres...

Bastia have only 15 player available today..GK Leca, defender Maire, capitan and the best player Andre, striker Meslin and Laville,Lorenzi,Dolci not available today..

Amiens have been playing good football and I think they can beat Bastia..Bastia scored 17 but today without Meslin and Andre, and their defense is one of the worst(Laville,Maire...out) they suffered 16...

Amiens win...high stake (and small bet on Amiens -1H)

Re: French Football 29th Sept - 2nd Oct

Have Bet365 stopped doing the Monday night games? They've not got this one up, and they didn't have last week's one either

Anyway, think Amiens are a decent price tonight. Bastia have quite a few players missing at the moment, they're without first choice keeper Leca (8 matches played), defenders Maire (9 played) and Laville (only 1 game played, but is actually an important player, played the first game of the season and scored, then got injured and hasn't played since), striker Meslin (8 played, 4 goals), plus a couple of other players who have been involved little if at all this season (Dolci and Lorenzi). Then there's captain Pierre-Yves André (striker, 5 played, 2 goals) whose wife has just given birth. From the reports it's not clear whether he'll actually be involved or not. L'Equipe seems to think he won't be, while according to the Bastia official site, they've taken a 15-man squad to Amiens. That would mean only 4 players on the bench, which surely can't be right, if André was definitely going to miss out surely they'd just take someone else instead? As a result I'm not sure whether that means he may be joining up with the squad later - presumably (for the purposes of fucking up this bet I've just placed), he'll now return to join the squad this afternoon before scoring the winning goal tonight and promptly doing one of those "rock the cradle" type goal celebrations

Anyway, even if he does play, I still fancy Amiens here. Their home record isn't all that great so far (1-2-1), but you have to take into account that they've played Strasbourg (and beat them, the only team to do so this season to date), drew with Caen (2nd in the league and unbeaten this season) and Libourne (12th), and lost to Grenoble (3rd), so they've had some tough games so far. The mood in the camp seems to have improved following their win away to Istres last weekend, as mentioned by manager Ludovic Batelli in an interview on their website:

Quote:
Obviously the win against Istres has invigorated us. The week has been a happier one. ...

Things are easier when you win. But we need to build on this win and therefore we need to take the three points
Bastia meanwhile have been in terrible form away from home, although to be fair, they too have had some tough games. They've lost their last 3, away to Caen and Metz (the top 2), plus a 4-0 thrashing last time out away to Montpellier (14th). They won their last game 4-1 at home to Niort, but they don't seem to be carrying their home form over into away games at the moment.

Amiens @ 2.5 for me tonight.

Re: French Football 29th Sept - 2nd Oct

You got there before me, Van Basten

Just as well you did, too, as I forgot to mention that about Sami (D, 9 played) being out for Amiens. Apparently striker Buengo (8 played, 1 goal) has also taken a bit of a knock, but is included in the squad, although he may not play from the start.

For those who speak French, you can listen to the game here

Click on Les Directs de L'Equipe.fr, then on "direct commenté" in the window that opens.

Bastia have only got 4 men on the bench
