Re: Spanish Football 14th-15th October
First thoughts, that's a huge price on Sevilla. We're talking about a team that was on a 12 game winning run (and a 16 game unbeaten run) until they lost to Atletico Madrid a few weeks back, and that was to a large extent due to the fact that they played the last 20 minutes or so with 9 men, going down 2-1 to 2 goals in the last 5 minutes. That winning run included 2 games against Barcelona (3-2 at home in the league at the end of last season, and 3-0 in Monaco in the Super Cup this season). Barcelona have ground out results so far this season, but they've not been hugely impressive in doing so, and I certainly think Sevilla are capable of getting at least a point here, if not all 3. Have already taken 4pts on Sevilla (+1 euro handicap) @ 2.375 with Sporting Odds, will probably have a point or 2 on Sevilla outright too, although I'll hold fire on that one for the moment.
Huelva also strike me as being severely over-priced - they've won both away games this season, at Sociedad and Villarreal, and Atletico can be inconsistent. Huelva haven't lost away to Atletico in 4 meetings either, drawing 3 and winning 1 (back in 2000 in the Segunda). And Atletico were the clear favourites with the bookies on all those occasions, according to Bet Explorer, Huelva were never shorter than 5.93. A speculative 1pt for now on Huelva at 7.5 with Sporting Odds (better odds are available, but with slightly more obscure bookies who I've not got accounts with), maybe more on a handicap bet later in the week.
Read today Villarreal have everyone bar Tacchinardi back available now, and think they should be much too strong for Espanyol.
I've kept faith in Mallorca up until now, but they're showing no signs of improving so far, and Levante were in decent form leading up to the international break, 2.4 looks a nice price for them.
Wouldn't rule out a Bilbao win away to Gimnastic.
In the Segunda, Castellon at evens looks good, Almeria I would say are overpriced at 2.5, also maybe interested in Murcia, and Elche as a possible long shot.
More later in the week.

Re: Spanish Football 14th-15th October
on a first glance...
Sevilla looks big, that's true, tbh Barcelona didn't win any game so far against "big" opponents:lost in supercup, draw against Werder&Valencia..history speaks about interesting h2h between these two,Sevilla completely dominated against barca in Monaco, but Catalans just landed from US tour, and that affect the team for sure...last year on Camp nou Barca won 2:1 with late goal from Ronaldinho(btw ,great goal),Sevilla played good game, and they deserved draw, but magic from the best was decisive..3:2 was in return leg,but you can exclude that game, since Barca played with 2-nd squad on that game...
will ronaldinho bounce back on sunday after dozens of critics in newspapers? Dunga will probably leave him on bench tonight...i think that thismatch depends on that, everyone from FCB was protecting Ronaldinho, saying that he will play again on his level...still think that Barcelona will win this...
I don't think that recreativo can grab anything from Calderon,it's true that Atletic are alwaus inconsistent, but they're playing great, especially young Aguero, they deserved three points from Real, don't know too much about Recreativo but still think that Atletico had one of the best squads in tprimera...i will go for home win here
Betis looks good,I don't know how deportivo managed these good results so far, late goals against Sociedad,2 goals from defender against Villareal, red card for Zaragoza in first round... if team news are ok for Betis,i will be interested in home win..it will be sweet revenge for Irrureta.GIF)

Re: Spanish Football 14th-15th October
this is not good tuesday and i`m allready betting at secunda
i like elche too rc ,xerez is having problems playing against them .........
real murcia above evens is great bet but i don`t think that price going to hold up for long .....
allready put 2 pts on cuidad murcia @3.15 at my local shop ...real is realy difficul team for betting i was expecting around 2.5 ,maybe cuidad to be a favorite ,but underdog i don`t think so....
vecindario is going to win it`s abouth time for that ...........great price for them...
you are right rc almeria is overprice ,
last year almeria was superb at home 16-1-4 ,albacete shit away 3-7-11 and one of the defeats was from albacete(i remeber that becouse those fukcers cost me small fortune )
i really like home win here and probable going to put couple of points ,
but h2h is something that could put me off, maybe 1:1 again....
i`m not sure but is this a local derbi or not?
my main bet probable going to be teneriffe...above evens ,2.2 stan james is great price........
valladolid 3.5 is too big,i `m thinking of playing on them this week...for change
lorca last year was playing good in away games ,so they could take pt from salamanca

Re: Spanish Football 14th-15th October
Hercules have sacked their manager this week, which will very likely be enough to put me off Castellon.
Igor, Almeria v Albacete isn't a local derby, there's around 350km between the two

Re: Spanish Football 14th-15th October
Some injury news ahead of the weekend. Barça have Puyol struggling at the moment, although they're confident he should be OK for the weekend, and the same for Sevilla with Kanouté. Barça are also considering resting Ronaldinho for this one .
Atletico Madrid will be without Maxi Rodriguez for around 6 months with a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee in last night's Spain v Argentina friendly. Big blow for them, that is, he's a class player and also currently their top scorer.
