Re: Asian Football 14th-15th October

Early thoughts:

I could be interested in JEF United Ichihara away to Kashima Antlers, or even a lay of Kashima. The Antlers have looked pretty tootless since coach Paulo Autori took over and deservedly lost away to Komp's favourite team, Fukuoka, in the last match. Ichihara are pretty decent and more than matched league leaders Urawa Red Diamonds in their last game, despite having to play with 10 men for most of the game and having trailed to an early penalty.

I could also be interested in FC Tokyo away to Hiroshima. Hiroshima did nothing but defend against Kofu in their last match and should have been beaten more comfortably than the 1-0 scorline suggests. FC Tokyo have been uninspiring this season, but their performances have improved in recent weeks and the addition of new striker Sota Hirayama looks to have given them a little more impetus up front. Not a definite bet as yet, but one to think about should the odds be a little meatier!!

Kashima Antlers v JEF United Ichihara @ 3.80 - 2 points so far
Hiroshima v FC Tokyo @ 2.95 - possible???

unable to offer much 'expert views' on the nippon league, but would go with the tested & proven method of backing the top runners, they'll be going all out for the wins, so take caution when backing on the asian handicap. same goes for the kawasaki & shimizu, they'll be keen to conquer the third place...as for the bottom clubs, seriously dun see any value with them, even at high odds they can really give u the black eye, i've had enough of shit from fukuoka & tokyo, so aint gonna even look at them...

Re: Asian Football 14th-15th October

JEF United has 2/3 of its regular defense (they always play 3 at the back)suspended after red cards against Urawa, 2 midfielders will slot in to form a makeshift defense, by looking at their starting lineup one might actually think that they play a 1-7-2 formation:

GK:30.

all 6, yes 6, of its internationals returned from India and starts

i posted this at BA forum earlier, and hope people would consider these facts before opposing the bay city sailors, nevermind taking the handicap

if Gamba were to play any other mid-table team, i'd say 1.61 is a gift, however Yokohama has the talents, experience, and pedigree to match them in every position, the problem for them, now that they have under-achieved for 2 seasons in a row, is another story for another day

dispite their position in the table, these sailors still poses one of the most formidable defenses in J1 and has conceeded the fewest (14) away goals, only 3 times did they let in more than 1 goal in an away match, 2 of those games they were missing captain, NT defender, and former league mvp yuji nakazawa who is finally healthy now
