Few words for the Saturday games
Panathinaikos - Larisa
Panathinaikos come from a rather surprising loss 1-0 away vs Aris, with a mediocre performance. Now they are 3rd in the table, 5 points below Olympiakos. The teams form is not very good right now. Midweek there is a game for the Ufa Cup vs Paris SG away, Panathinaikos have sealed qualification anyway. Full squad for them, only long time absent Gonzales (M) will miss the game.
Larisa come from an important home win vs Ergotelis after many unlucky results. The teams form is not very good right now, also they had many absents in the previous games. A team that play open football even as travellers. Important to note Larisa recent tradition as travellers vs the 3 big teams of Athens, they use to conceed rather easy and not to score. Many absents for Larisa in this game as well. They will miss regulars Gavrilopoulos (F), Hloros (F), Kleiton (M), Katsiaros (M), Venetidis (D), Vallas (D), also long time absent Bahramis (M).
Panathinaikos at home are big favourites. They are much motivated, and are the better team. Even though the hosts look in mediocre form, the low odds are rather fair, as Larisa have many absents, and also their recent tradition vs the big teams of Athens as travellers is rather poor. The other game of the day is between Ionikos and Iraklis. Both teams are low in teh table and motivated. Ionikos need points badly but their form is not conviencing, and its better to skip the game.

PAS Giannina - Ilysiakos
PAS come from an important away win vs Ethnikos, with not that good performance anyway. The result matters, as PAS are not good travellers, whereas are strong at home. They are 4th in the table and close to the first places, and promotion is a target of the team. Not major absents for them.
Ilysiakos are 3rd in the table, and 2 points above PAS. They come from a home win vs Panthrakikos 2-0. They look in good form. Ilysiakos are good travellers, however in their last away game they lost to Asteras Tripolis 2-0. A team that play technical football, with good offensive line. In this game they will miss influential regular Petkof (M).
PAS are the favourites. They are much motivated and strong at home. Also the morale is good after the last away win. Ilysiakos is in good form, anyway they won the last game at home, and now have a difficult task. There is some value in the over as Ilysiakos play open football, so does PAS at home. The odds for the home win are acceptable in some cases.

Kavala was one of the outsiders for promotion this season but it has not started well for them.
They have already changed manager two times so the current one is the third one from the beginning of the season. He took over two weeks ago and their first game away at Trikala last week was a good performance despite drawing 2-2. They see this game as one of their last chances to keep up with the leading teams.
AE Giannena is winless and despite drawing quite a lot, they are last and in a turmoil as some players are leaving, more are expected to leave soon and the team is gonna restructure. Well they are gonna do that in the lower league next year.

The main reason I am taking this one is a goalkeeper crisis for PAONE.
Although being away from Greece is a drag as far as info on the lower leagues are concerned, I hear that all 3 of PAONE goalkeepers are out injured at the moment. The situation is not clear yet but it seems there is a strong possibility that an outfield player takes the GK jersey on Sunday. Odds on the homewin are rather low so given the situation I am going for the overs.

My pick for this w/e will be a 3 matches combo. Panathinaikos, Olympiakos and 1X on Xanthi-AEK match @ 2.22 at Ladbrokes 7/10

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos imo easily or not will take the games each one for its own reason. Panathinaikos cannot afford losing any more points after losing tha game against Aris the previous week and Olympiakos cannot afford having another bad result (if someone could tell that 2-2 against Shaktar is a bad result!) after failing to qualify for UEFA cup.

On the other hand, the match against Xanthi will be very difficult for AEK. First of all because of the tireness after the big effort against Anderlecht at Belgium. The dissapointment of failing to qualify to CH.L.'s next round will effect on AEK's players game too imo. And the last reason will be the missing for AEK for this match.
Sorentino(GK,inj.), Dellas(Def.,inj.), Emerson(Mid.,inj.), Lagos(Def Mid., inj.), Alexopoulos(Def.,inj.), Ivic(Mid. questionable) will all be out for this match, plus Lyberopoulos, the star of the team, will probably play but won't be on the best form after a small injury he had on the game against Anderlecht.

A comeback under the pressure of the fans, from 0-2 in the second half gave Olympiakos the victory. Scoreless draw at Xanthi, AEK was obviously tired, another under for the hosts. Draw in the local Salonica derby, and also at Crete with the hosts losing valuable points.
