Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th Feb

sorted the first news of german 2nd League.

There´s a good chance to win for the eastside club Aue in the match versus Kaiserslautern.
A 2.50 is a good odd for a try - there´re a lot of injuries for the Lautern Coach Wolfgang Wolf infront of this match...

Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th Feb

Unterhaching will miss defenders Feldhahn (suspension, 14 games and two goals), Fredy Page (injury, 19 games) and Buck (injury, 20 games 5 goals) against CZ Jena.
Unter has only won 1 of last 4 homegames, and only 1 win in last 9 games.
CZ Jena in better form, won last 3 games. Jena has only scored 1 goal the 4 last away games. CZ Jena bought some new players in the winterbreak, and they have done it very well. Ashvetia has scored 3 goals in his first 4 games. Tapalovic scored his first goal in last game.
Unterhaching will miss 3 defence players, while CZ Jena in good form. I try some on awaywin here.

I don't take Schalke at 1.8. They are still without playmaker Lincoln, have also many more missings. Hamburg in form, with not bad record, won last two away games v Schalke. I don't know yet, is it better to skip it or to find a nice handicap on Hamburg.

Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th March

Erzgebirge Aue [5th] - FC Kaiserslautern [4th]
A good chance for Aue to win this 2nd League Topmatch on Friday night. The red Devils from Kaiserslautern miss 9 players infront of this match - 4 with a flu, 5 with injuries. Aue welcome back the capitan and head of the team Jörg Emmerich. He doesn´t play last round where Aue lost in a sensational Match versus SC Freiburg 4-5 away. Aue is a good home team they lost only 1 of the last 5 at home versus the top3 Team Duisburg tight 0-1.
Aue was blamed in the first leg with a 4-0 defeat. I saw the match it was a very unlucky match by Aue. Emmerich should lead the team back to a defensive team who play a controlled defense. I see a good chance for Aue at home. 16.397 seats in the ErzgebirgeStadion - it´ll be the hell for the red devils - like for every team who visit Aue.

my punt:
- Aue to win

Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th March

Schalke 04 [1st] - Hamburger SV [13th]
Schalke lost the last two rounds but be 4 points above the second Bremen on the top of the ladder.Hamburg won the last 3 rounds in a row versus Dortmund 3-0,Bremen 0-2 and at last versus Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1. They won also the last two round at Schalke 2-1 and 2-0. Schalke miss playmaker Lincoln and 2nd best striker Lövenkrands. Hamburg miss some player in midfield.

my punt:
- hamburg or draw
- over/under no bet

Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th March

Cheers

Schalke lost last week was their first since late October and first at home. They dominated whole game having many solid chances. Leverkusen only one for whole game at the late stage and score. Press were joking they they made two chances in two games (Bburn+ Schalke) and made two successes.
Schalke is heavily hit with injuries and add to that Linkoln red card in last game, they have no more options to play that what they have played lately. I think they will get back to 4-4-2 untill Varela, Loevenk. or Lincoln is back. As I said few times Schalke have the best benchin the liga, but from this 7 missed players 4 of them are players that have decided critical games alone. (Pander, Lincoln, Loevenkrans and Varela).
So Schalke is not at their highest power, but still strong enough for this liga and their home crowed is in my eyes the best in the liga.

Hamburg picked up their form since stevens took over, and their injurie situation is getting better, but still key players are missing. Demel is back and thats very god, but he didnt played for some I believe two months. Sorin, Kompany, de Jong and Benjamin are misssings on Hamburg side adn with them they would be stronger.

All in all both teams have faced injurie plagued season, have god relations, adn raising form of HAmburg and oposite of Schalke imo would make both sides happy with draw. I am not a draw bettor, but will try in this one.

Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th March

Howday do day folks. I have to admit to never betting on German Football and the only reason for that is that it starts an hour before scottish leagues and ive never even got my Scottish list looked at never mind to look at other leagues. We're gonna have to do a bet of the weekend thread. Here's some a preview from Eurosport

Quote:
Schalke, looking for their first league title since 1958, have managed just a point from their last two matches, losing 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen last week after a 2-2 draw at VfL Wolfsburg.

Schalke's woes were compounded further when their Brazilian playmaker Lincoln was handed a five-match suspension for a red card received for punching Leverkusen's Germany midfielder Bernd Schneider.

Although Schalke will be without Lincoln, they can count on Serbia defender Mladen Krstajic, who will be available thanks to a special shield to protect a broken rib suffered against Leverkusen.

Hamburg have three successive victories under new coach Huub Stevens, including a 3-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt a week ago, and have climbed out of the relegation zone. HSV are the only remaining founding Bundesliga club never relegated.

It will be a special homecoming match for Stevens, who won the 1997 UEFA Cup at Schalke and led the Gelsenkirchen club to second place in 2001 during his record-breaking 195-match career coaching Schalke.

That 2001 season still haunts Schalke. They squandered the title with a late slump and were eclipsed by Bayern Munich, who won it with an injury-time goal in the final match of the season.

Unwanted memories of that collapse are coming back now. Schalke had a six-match winning streak and six-point lead over Werder Bremen two weeks ago. Schalke, with 49 points from 23 matches, still lead Werder, now third, by six points but are only four ahead of second-placed VfB Stuttgart.

Hamburg, led by in-form captain Rafael van der Vaart, have eight goals in their last three matches - wins over Borussia Dortmund, Bremen and Frankfurt. Van der Vaart scored one and made a second in HSV's 3-1 win over Frankfurt.

HSV were only narrowly beaten by Schalke 2-1 in their first meeting this season.

Stuttgart travel to Bayer Leverkusen, Werder host VfL Bochum and champions Bayern Munich, fourth with 40 points, play at Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

Stuttgart may be without their Germany striker Mario Gomez, the Bundesliga's top scorer this season. He suffered a thigh injury in midweek.

Leverkusen will field youngster Rene Adler rather than long-time keeper Joerg Butt after the 22-year-old filled in impressively for the suspended Butt last week.

Bremen welcome back Germany international Clemens Fritz, who has been out with muscle problems, and striker Hugo Almeida (head). Both returned to training on Thursday as did long-injured defender Patrick Owomoyela.

Bayern Munich may be without Owen Hargreaves as the England midfielder is suffering from ankle problems. Defender Lucio (abdomen) and striker Claudio Pizarro (knee) are also ailing but are expected to play.

Hertha are likely to be without captain Arne Friedrich, who suffered a knee injury in their 2-0 German Cup loss at VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday.

Re: German Leagues: 2nd - 4th March

No much time left, so very very shortly comments on Bundesliga II.

Aue v Kaiserslautern - agree with Thegerman here. Visitors are very hard to beat, but with their squad problems and Aue good form I fancy home team today.

Furth v Augsburg - a hard one, from betting on home team putting me off Augsburg form, they are unbeaten in 4 in row, I skip it

Unterhaching v Jena - agree with ES, that value is on the away side but be careful, it's true that they won 3 in row, but before were on terrible streak,9 games without a win. Still, looking at home team missings fancy away win here, but don't go for straight win, will find nice handicap on Jena.
