Hmm, can't say that I have to many fancies in this round at present. Well, I have my eye out for a number of teams, but many look to close to call and will probably only be interesting if some favourable teamnews appear.
I think my main bet could be FCM (1X) at home to FCK. They are a strong and solid outfit that of homeside and the motivation couldn't be much higher. They did not look very good vs. OB, (lost 3-1), but I think they can turn it on again at home like they did against Brøndby a week ago (won 3-1).
FCK, is also a good and solid outfit (It hardly needs saying, does it !?), but the fact is that they have been in a downtrend lately (last 4 SAS-liga games) and eventhough they have just won the Royal League trophy on thurday night, I don't think it will be a major boost or anything because a) the play was not great (Hans Backe their coach stated after the final that he was pleased with the title but not happy with the play) and b) they are dissapointed that their chances of taking the championship title is as good as gone, allthough their aim is now to secure 2nd place and a place in the
uefa cup. They will also miss a couple of influential players for this tie, in brazilian attacker Alvaro Santos and midfielder Hjalte Nørgaard both out suspended. FCK have got the widest squad in Denmark though so the emphasiz on the missing players should not be TOO high afterall, they do have some good replacements..
Brøndby could be another option aswell maybe (0) is the way to go or cover with the CS 1-1, as I belive 4 times in recent past that has been the outcome in Aalborg between the to. AaB has a thin squad. The strongest possible is named for this big clash but they still have doubts over 2 central defenders, only 1 of them will start the game though, but they can't afford too many abcences in a game against the league leaders IMO, then Brøndby should be strong enough to punish them. Brøndby can field their strongest lineup here and that should mean they can avoid defeat at least, unless AaB put up a really strong performance like the 1 in 1st half against Viborg (leading 4-0 at HT, 5-3 FT), then they have a chance to take all points....
2 lays futher are on my mind, in AGF and "my team" Silkeborg, but I will wait and see if they can be valuable to us later, so all from me now. Bring your comments of any kind and we will see come Saturday/Sunday if anything is begging to be backed.
