Re: MLS 5/6 May

Im on Kansas tonight folks.

Not impressed by Columbus who havent solved their problems of scoring goals from last season. Infact its lookin like an identical season to last. Lack of goals, most points being picked up at home. Can never back a side who are struggling offensively.

Kansas doing the business early on. Eddie Johnson is playing to the levels the fans expected and they have been pretty solid at the back.

Won last 4 between the two and i was actually expecting them odds on so 2.14 is a pleasant surprise.

Kansas to win @ 2.14 (6/10)

Re: MLS 5/6 May

Fancy DC to get their first win of the season up also.

Started off very slow and rusty but they wont get a better chance than tonight against an out of sorts Chivas side.

Chivas lost some big time players and replaced them with players who havent played to their expectancy levels.

One of these was Guevara but he is suspended for this game. While he hasnt played well so far this is still a blow as he still possesess some quality.

Also missing through suspension is Kljestan. This is quite a massive blow as he has argueably been Chivas best player this season with 1 goal and 2 assists in 4 games already.

What you have is two sides not playing that well but with one missing some important players through suspension so i fancy DC here.

DC to win @ 2.20

Wooo!!

1-0 Kansas with seconds to go. Should be about 5-0 up by now but havent managed to score with Columbus being as poor as expected.

What about Chicago Fire to get something out of their match against the New England Revolution? Revs maybe with a different formation, influential player Joseph missing due to red card. Any thoughts?

Your right that Joseph is a big loss as he is a class player but he has been more of a nusiance than an influence this season because he wants to move away to a bigger club.

Can never write off the Revs - everytime i do they come and surprise me as they have done with a couple of results this season.

Good luck with this and if i was to choose i would go with Chicago but im staying firmly away from this match!

Am i sure about what players? Who are suspended you mean?

Razov is still a quality player although he hasnt started well so far.

Your right about DC - In a hard period for them but they havent lost any players of note from last season where they were by far and away the best side over most the season.

So they are still as strong as they were and they wont be poor for much longer before they get their act together.

Just seen this...

Quote:
The Amado Guevara experiment is over.

Chivas USA severed ties with Guevara four games into the 2007 season as the club traded him to Toronto FC for Paulo Nagamura and a draft pick.

The trade is pending final league approval.

Known as a temperamental but talented player, Guevara has done little in his short-lived stint with Chivas USA. He was taken out in the 56th minute of Chivas USA's 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday. Chivas USA coach Preki questioned Guevara's heart and ability after the match.

In four games, Guevara had 326 minutes with no goals and no assists. He nine shots with four on goal, including one against the Galaxy on Saturday.

Chivas USA paid a high price for Guevara. In November, then-coach Bob Bradley traded a designated player slot to New York for Guevara. New York used their own slot as well as Chivas USA's to acquire Claudio Reyna and Juan Pablo Angel from English Premiership clubs
Thats interesting. Waste of their designated slot eh

1-0 DC after 55 mins gone

Deserved too. Took DC about 20 mins to start get going but they are dominating the game now and should go on to increase their lead if we are lucky
